What's going on moon gang hope, you're having a highly enjoyable day? This is your market wrap up for today, wednesday april 20th. We have a lot to talk about we'll take a little bit into the overall market and there are some interesting earnings that just came out that we'll be discussing ever so quickly and then we'll be getting into some of the other ones. That you should be paying attention to for the remainder of the week i'll keep this as quick as i possibly can so with that being said, let's hop right into it. So when the dust settled today, the overall market was pretty much flat, just slightly red, the nasdaq, the tech heavy sector was down 1.5 and the small cap sector was up 0.4.

Unfortunately, amc was down seven and jimmy was down two, but the focus of today, like the one i got really really beat up, was netflix. It dropped 35, which means it lost over 50 billion dollars. You heard that right, 50 billion dollars. Now i will be posting a video, that's all about netflix and what happened here, but the high level version of it is wall street was expecting them to add 2.7 million subscribers in the most recent quarter.

Instead, they lost 200 000. This was their first subscriber loss in over a decade. So that's a no bueno situation and that's exactly why it dropped 35. So congratulations to you! If you were able to make any money on that now, the ones that just came out tesla and united airlines, as you can see both are up as i'm filming.

This live tesla, ticker, symbol, tsla is up over four percent and then american ual is up. Four percent as well, so let's kick this off with tesla. What happened? Tesla's revenues grew 81 from last quarter. Boom.

Congratulations! If you are long on tesla i'll be the first to admit it just because of the whole shanghai situation with the kovi lockdowns in the shanghai gigafactory, i thought tesla was gon na actually end up missing i'll, be completely honest, but i am pleasantly surprised as a Long-Term tesla and elon bull tesla reported a 322 earnings per share on a revenue of 18.76 billion respectively that beat the expectations of 226 and 17.8 billion, so top and bottom lines be beat. Usually elon doesn't talk on the earnings call, but today at 5, 30 pm et he will be talking just so. Everyone knows so we'll see if there's anything interesting. That comes from that, but i dove into some of the other stuff that i just want to share with you.

Tesla says factories likely continue run below capacity, the rest of 2022. Yes, there are still supply issues, obviously, with certain factories such as in china. There are concerns of reopening, so it looks like they will be running below capacity. Just take that into account when you're, considering their delivery numbers.

So a bit of a little bit more bearish news there, but also a little bit of positive news. Tesla initial release of fsd beta full self driving - this is some awesome autonomous stuff to come to customers in canada, starting in march of 2022, very, very cool there. So a little bit of extra positive news, a little bit of extra negative news right there, but overall, as you can see how the market is reacting to tesla up four percent, the other major one. That's going right now and climbing uh united airlines.

Last week delta reported they beat the entire airline sector liked it. Today, united is reporting as you're about to see american is going to be reporting tomorrow. The 21st before market opens, but what you need to know about united is they ended up actually missing. Their earnings per share.

Their loss was wider than expected by one cent and their revenue was off by a hundred million they under reported, but the reason you're seeing this positive right here is they're, actually saying that hey we're going to be profitable in q2. Looking back to a positive earnings per share, so we'll see how this all actually does play out, but that's going on right now with ual and just so you know what else is going on so tessa united right there, american before the market opens tomorrow. Of course, also with att after the market closes, we also have snapchat and then friday we have verizon slumber, j american express, remember. We are getting full-fledged underway with earnings season right now, as we talk for the next couple weeks.

Next, two: three: all the big names are going to be reporting and it really comes to a crescendo at the first week of may. When we also have the fed meeting remember wednesday, may the 4th we're going to get the fed result most likely a 0.5 interest rate increase now very quickly in terms of the overall market we had a nice bullish. Push a nice bearish push that basically it's nice. Just because it didn't come down as far we only gave back roughly half of this.

We started to push today. It got a little bit smacked and we're up a little bit in post market, but i think this is all going to come down to. How are all the companies reporting if we have some of these big tech companies with positive earnings? I think this could help it go higher, but right now it's kind of in it's in no man's land. It's pretty much neutral.

It's trying to decide. Is it going to break to the upside going to go to the downside, but i do want to remind you that april seasonally over the past two three decades worth of data is a very bullish month. So keep that in the back of your mind, but i hope that you were able to score big on netflix tesla united there's been quite a few of individual equities with crazy, crazy volatility.
