Slinger The Federal Reserve's two percent inflation Target is no longer credit deglobalization. The transition to Alternative Energy The need to pay work is more lower risk, shorter. Supply Chains are all inflationary. The FED cannot change its Target now, but will likely do so in the future.

Now, whether you agree with Mr Ackman or not, you kind of have to admit he was right in the short term. Take a look at the S P 500 heat map here. This is blood red. This is some helter kelter stuff.

what in the world is going on? As a very quick side note, I Kind of want to point out the fact that Tesla was one of the few green stocks because it's one one of the few red stocks recently, but more on that in just a second. Now, to be fair, your favorite stocks weren't the only thing that got curb stomped today. The bloodbath did consume the entire world of crypto as well. So if you're anything like me, you're probably listening to this right now, rocking back and forth in a dark, desolate, cold room where the only thing you can really hear is the faint sound of your own sniffles and you might be thinking why in the world is this happening Not that this will make you feel any better, but I do have the answer for you.

And the answer is copycats. Those copycats over in Europe are doing exactly what the US did yesterday. The Bank of England hikes key rate by 50 basis points will continue to respond forcefully if needed. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only punch the market took today.

it was more of a one-two combo. The ECB, the European Central Bank Hikes Raked sees significant increases ahead as it announces plan to shrink balance sheet. So what does that mean? Well, basically you have the European Central Bank and the Bank of England both roughly equivalent to the Federal Reserve our Central Bank. Here in the U.S doing the same thing, they are being more hawkish.

They are being more aggressive in their fight against inflation. Unfortunately, to fight inflation, you have to lower demand and the only way to really do that is to push down, create downward pressure on your economy and thus also your market. So yes, demand comes down which isn't good. But the positive thing you hear is is basically you're trying to get rid of inflation.

The best metaphor I have for this is chemo. You're trying to fight off a worse disease cancer. I.E Inflation, stagflation, hyperinflation. But in the meantime, the medicine you're taking chemo and also this hawkish restrictive policy can be pretty painful Now that you have a better idea of why things are happening, you might be thinking okay, how bad are things going to be What should I be looking for on the screen now is the S P 500 and as you can see as of today's close of 389 and some change which was a drop of 2.5 percent.

Unfortunately, we broke below and we closed below a very key support of 390. this opens up the door to the Gap fell all the way down to 381 and a little bit of change. So so I'll be watching that if by some miracle Santa Claus was just sleeping in, maybe had a couple too many cookies, maybe a little bit too much milk, and we somehow get the Santa Claus rally a little bit of a U-turn My next watch would be the first upside: Gap fill at 396 and 31 cents. Overall, there's been a lot of pain in the General market lately, so I highly recommend a cautionary mindset, but in all reality, I don't mean that just for the overall Market I even mean that for individual equities.

if you haven't been seeing what's going on with Elon Musk's brainchild Tesla Lately, it's also not good. In 2022, the world's leading EV maker has been brutalized to the tune of 59 and it doesn't look like the selling pressure will be alleviated anytime soon. Unfortunately, a decent amount of that selling pressure has been coming from the owner and operator of the company. Elon Musk sells another huge chunk of of Tesla's shares Elon Musk Just cashed in another 3.6 billion of Tesla stock as he wrestles with mounting interest payments at Twitter and a looming recession now.

I Must admit: I am a long-term Tesla investor it is in my retirement account. but even with that being said in the short term medium term, I'm concerned.
