We got the downside Gap fill and now we're just kind of closing mid-range So this wild day we had on Thursday So in terms of technicals, price action, I'm looking for the breakout of 445 maybe the breakdown of 438 and then I'd be watching down here until the mid-430s but overall a pretty indecisive day. Stocks rise Monday today as Wall Street recovers some of its steep August losses I mean overall we are down in the month of August where are we at right now? So we started off August at 4 57. we are currently down 3.4 percent so a bit of recovery. We have what three days left on the schedule in August three full days of trading Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Maybe maybe it pushes a little bit, but I don't know.

We had a burst of volatility recently, so usually expansion, contraction, expansion, contraction. so who knows. maybe this is the contraction leading to another more exciting thing. I Guess Hunger Inspiring. Uh, so you have one guy and another guy 21 and 38 allegedly bit off more They can chew. That's two right there. Two, so ravenous scam.

and then they also bid off more they can chew. Uh, when they uncovered a loophole that allowed them to convert prepaid company credit into gift cards by pretending to be both Ubereats customers and delivery drivers according to authorities. Morgan Used the Ubereats software application and would act as a customer and the carrier. He would place a grocery order as a consumer for pickup under a fake account, then accept the order as The Courier Then Uber would provide him with a pre-authorized credit for up to seven hundred dollars per purchase.

However, according to the investigators, he would cancel the customer, the consumer's order and spend the credit on a gift card and said on one day in January alone detectives allegedly watched the pair scam Uber out of more than five thousand dollars buying gift cards at 27 different Walgreens stores. Why are there so many Walgreens in this particular County that they could hit 27 in a day? That's that's a lot of Walgreens That might be the better question here. Morgan created several fake accounts to keep the fraud going. He would often use stolen and fabricated identities of Uber drivers using their license information and altering it with his own photo.

Morgan and Blackwood have been charged with organized scheme to defraud and Grand Theft uh, so ingenious, obviously immoral, obviously illegal if what they're being accused of is what they actually did. but I want to get your size of it? Do you think this is ingenious? Do you think they were just macgyvers of the current Uber Eats food delivery system? Kind of almost like a Billy the Kid Robin Hood type of a thing. I would actually say if I had to guess right now and I do like to guess a lot I would guess that tomorrow is gonna favor the Bulls So I just want to throw that out there that if it can get above and hold above 443 I'd be watching 445 and some change in terms of the accused similar situation not ending above. Its open though, so a little bit weaker, but the cubes have been a bit more dramatic to begin with so just wanted to share that with you. And now did the market officially close? even bigger. you guys good with that good Bueno Okay Cool! So this is how it all went for today. So for my account, the ACT this is not fake money I mean this is this is me. uh my my real money.

My real account. So for today August 28th uh Piper goes long and short so you could play both ways. So uh, profit factor of 2.21 So for every dollar spent in total, it returned two dollars and 21 cents. Not a bad deal.

Uh, let me collapse that. Uh, so it. but it was only 54. Profitable now.

I Want you to understand that that's not a bad thing. Don't just focus on accuracy. There's some training strategies that only have 20 accuracy and they're profitable. And then there's some that have 90 accuracy as a 9 out of 10 trades.

They're right, but they're still like a not a net loss. You need to look at the average size of your winners and the average size of your losers on top of your accuracy. So this strategy it's going to be about half half. It's about a 50 accuracy, but what matters is the size of the winning trades versus the size of the losing trading.

Half of the time it takes a small loss. the other half of the time it attempts to take a larger winner. So the average winning trade was 255. The average losing trade was 135.

So obviously when you multiply that by 50 accuracy, you're going to be net ahead. So on average per trade today I made about 75 dollars. It traded in total 13 times, 10 long trades where it made 1.1 000 and then three short trades where it lost 130. So I just wanted to give you a breakdown of how this is going.

I'm now on version like 30 of this code. uh the profit factors I'm obviously happy with how the Longs perform today. not the most happy with shorts. Here's a quick look as you can see uh out of the gate had a losing trade, then it went positive.

it was actually down for most of the day and then I don't know. At around noon it started to really heat up into close. So I'm going to focus on like what caused some of these losing trades. Sometimes it just happens like that.

like you're not going to be able to avoid all losing trades. but if you could find a commonality in most of your losing trades, well that might be another useful all like filter for you to add on to. like, try to avoid those. So I'll see if I can see anything common that happened in here because it lose or lose or loser small winner and then a loser.

So I'll do a little bit of data mining on it. Uh, what else do we have? Here's the performance. Oh and just so you know, I guess this is a good point. I Was trading two things today as you guys saw right here so it ended up 978.

The long trades are what really saved it if that makes sense because today was a bit more of a bullish day. How do I get out of this right here? Nope. Foreign. oops.

As you can see, today it was trading the S P 500 on the Futures market and also the NASDAQ 100. So I was trading Es and NQ and actually no, that's A. you guys didn't ask this but you guys should have asked this if you were paying attention. Uh uh.

all symbols show only Es U23 okay uh, show on. Let's see how it did on the two different markets. Okay, not a bad deal. So when trading the S P 500 that made 427.

So obviously the leftover 550 was from the NASDAQ Uh, once again, losing on the short side today, winning on the long side today, let me uh. nqu23 add okay, uh, remove. Let's just double check our math there. nqu.

Yep, the other 550 was from the NASDAQ. so roughly half and half today. Um, the NASDAQ was slightly better. which makes sense because the NASDAQ is slightly more volatile and also in back testing this strategy, the results are slightly better on the NASDAQ.

So actually in reality, today, it was a good day across the board. What? I Like Here is how the NASDAQ it technically won at the end of the day on both long and short trades while the S P 500 only went on Long trades and ended up being a net Loser on short trade. So, uh, worthwhile to know it actually didn't lose shorting today, Huh? Interesting, interesting, interesting. But anyway, just wanted to give you an update of the current state of Piper I Still have various things I Know One of the most common questions I get is like when's this going to go live Like when am I going to put it out there I need to improve it.

The answer is it goes out there when I'm actually comfortable with it because I myself diving into the numbers. No, it's not exactly where I want it to be quite yet. So I'm going to spend more time tonight refining it, getting it to the level that I very much needed to get to. And obviously it's not going to get there without my the assistance and help of the head and macro analysts here at our hedge fund Miss Piper herself.

so we'll be diving into that. But folks, what you need to know is tomorrow, 10 a.m and a half hour into the trading day, there's going to be some reports, some job related reports which tells us about the current state of the economy, so look forward to that. I'm expecting a little bit of volatility and hopefully a lot a bit of volatility. so that's coming down the pipeline tomorrow.

Other than that, in the world of what could influence the economy, there is some political movement right now between surprise surprise Republicans and Democrats fighting endlessly about everything so that is seeming to like heat up a little bit. So I'm paying attention to what's going on over there in terms of technicals and price action right now. The spy and the cues are mid-range from the crazy big bar we saw on Thursday the big bearish bar we had the day before Jerome Powell spoke at the Jackson Hole Symposium so I'm looking to see which way it breaks if you ask me when I paired together today's price action with tomorrow's seasonality. I think that the Bulls have an edge tomorrow, but just because you have an edge, it's not a guarantee.

So I'll be focusing a little bit more on the bullish side of things. but I just want to let you guys know where my mindset is at on everything. That's what I have for you.
