Bro got rejected because he's white. Okay basically he's a Smarty Pants 4.6 GPA 1460 Sat Uh, Community Service Summer College Investment Scholarship Skip: he's a Smarty Pants and I'm assuming he was applying towards Cornell because he has a Cornell crew neck on and I are about to say gets a little dismal I Got rejected. Do you think he got rejected simply because he was white? Do you think? no He actually did not have the requirements where the average person gets into the school.
He banked too much on The prestige of getting into the school- hence the sweatshirt. If he really has vision to do something to help humanity, he'll be exceptional no matter what school you went to.

Affirmative action literally justifies taking positions from kids like this and offering them to a member of a minority who may be less qualified… That's LITERALLY what affirmative action is…soooooo it's actually possible that he was rejected for being white.

I think he had a great application but most of the students who apply to Ivy League Schools have applications that look like that. They have to reject somebody and sometimes it's because they only have 200 spots open and your application was number 450. So is life.
Dumb move buying the sweatshirt before getting in. Too dumb for JuCo.
Wow. I get why he'd be disappointed getting rejected, but he straight up feels entitled to the spot because of his accomplishments, without showing any indication that whoever got "his" spot didn't earn it. He did the work, so he deserves the reward, regardless of who else also did the work.
That kind of faith in the system takes a lot of privilege to cultivate.

Yes… Boys of European decent and Boys of Asian decent have to show performance on an unimaginable level to get in to some of those universities even if they apply as early as possible. But they seem to never run out of spots if you are a woman or what they call an ethnic minority… Never mind the fact that people of European decent is a minority that make about 10% of the global population.
Can folks that apply find out first what the college is looking for, in its roster? And then apply to those colleges that are transparent about what type of an individual they are looking for to fill their classes.

ivy league schools practically require a candidate's parents having connections and networking to get in. i have friends with higher gpas than the average for harvard get rejected by ivy league schools. this student didn't fail, the sad reality is unless mom and dad are up to the gills in connections with other rich elite families he never had a real chance. this isn't racism, but it IS classism.

Cornell only accepts 7% of ALL applicants every year. Early admission is even worse. He would have needed over 1500 SAT to even be close for early admission. Race has nothing to do with this.
