Hey: hey: hey! What's going on moon gang, this is your market wrap up with me. Matt today is tuesday april 19th and it was an awesome day in the market. It was a super green day. I bet you have a big old smile on your face, so i want to quickly run through some of the major things that happened today, just so you're better prepared for what might play out for the remainder of the week.

But i really want to dive into an exciting development that i saw, and the reason exciting is because i think it's very, very bullish. So let's hop right into it. As you can see here, many things had a great day. The s p 500 gained 1.6.

The nasdaq the tech sector gained a blistering 2.2 and then even the small cap sector gained another 2 crypto was ripping ripping ripping amc had a great gain of 6.8 closed out the day at 1870., jimi had a beautiful gain of 7.8 closed out the day. Just over 152, obviously i don't want to avoid. What's going on here, netflix and post market getting absolutely murked down 22. Here's the dealio on that one netflix down uh 20: there was a surprise drop in subscribers and also a slower revenue in q1.

So that's exactly why you're seeing netflix bleed out on the floor right now uh. This is all because of its earnings. We also have ibm interactive brokers before the market opens tomorrow. Png will probably be pretty important.

You could pay a pension also to the nasdaq. After the market closed, big one is tesla and also united, and then before the market opens on thursday, you have american and then after the market closes snapchat and then on friday, verizon and slumber j feel free to follow earnings, whispers or just screenshot. This, if you want so for the overall market today, we could look at this awesome day beautiful day in the s p 500. We had some interesting developments from a member of the federal reserve.

Feds evans, uh he's the guy from chicago for the fed, says key us interest rate to go to 2.5 and likely higher. So he was talking a lot a lot today and he was bringing up that he's not necessarily opposed to a 0.5 interest rate increase. Now. Remember there are more members who are really coming around to this: the guy who seemed to be leading the charge with the fed member bullard from st louis, but now he's actually gone higher, he's calling for .75.

So he seems the guy who's like the most hawkish and it's slowly turning some of the other members, and maybe it's not just him. Maybe it's the fact that we have a four decade high level of inflation and they realize that maybe they've been having a little bit of policy error and maybe it's not enough a little bit too late and they're playing catch-up. But overall, that's the big development and it's making me more confident that on wednesday may 4th that's the next fomc meeting. Well, it's the second day when we get the results at 2 pm on that day, most likely gon na be a half of a percent.

A 50 bips increase just so everyone knows that comes out at two and then powell, the fed chairman, will speak to the public at 2. 30. So pay attention not only to that, but the week leading up to it. I think we're going to see more hawkishness from various fed members just so people are more so i would say emotionally pricing in what will be going on what won't be going on, but what i wanted to really point out.

Um hang on. Let me also go on this because it just broke quickly. Uh biden asked if people should continue to wear masks on planes says that's up to them so on planes that actually got overturned by a judge today, and not only for air travel but ubers. Apparently, you no longer have to wear your mess.

They drop their mass mandate. So take that as you will, but overall i do find that a little bit, i would say i'm trying to be optimistic about it. I think that means that maybe the market is saying: hey the chapter of rhona, it's behind us, it's time for us to move on so a little bit of optimism there. I know it was kind of two years of hell for a lot of us.

So hopefully, that's a chapter that we can kind of put an end to and move on to the next one, let's dive into the exciting thing: this is the overall market, and ever since we really got rocking in april, it's been down trending. This is currently bucking. The seasonal trend typically april is a very very bullish month, especially if you're looking at the two past decades worth of data very, very bullish. But what i see going on right now, um, i kind of like what i'm seeing as you can see for april down.

Trending down trending lower highs, lower lows, but you see what happened today. We broke out and we closed above it, so i would call that a technical breakout, but beyond it. The one thing i really want to bring to your attention is right here. If we look at this mark this mark and this mark, you can see that it's been downtrending, but even though the price action has gone, lower and lower and lower you see, the rsi has gone higher and higher and higher.

This is a phenomenon referred to as bullish divergence, remember rsi maps out momentum, so this is saying, even though the price is going lower, there's less and less bearish momentum, because it's going higher and higher or another way to say that is there's more and more bullish. Momentum, even though it's going lower, that's why we're seeing divergence and then boom it led to a test and a breakout of this trend line that we've seen established since the start of the month and right now, i'm pretty excited to see what this can bring for The remainder of the month, especially as we're going not only into that fed meeting in the first week of may, but on top of it we have some exciting earnings, announcements and the one i'm really looking forward to is tesla, which is after the market closes on Wednesday april 20th, which of course elon being elon, has to have his earnings on 4 20. speaking of elon musk is planning to launch tender offer for twitter in 10 days or so. According to the new york post basically looks like he's trying to get his ducks in a line again and seeing if he could give another offer, but it might not be that easy, elon musk's scrambling to find backers for twitter takeover elon musk is the richest person In the world, but he's scrambling to assemble a buyout bid for twitter using other people's cash insiders, say musk appears to be facing hurdles in raising the money.

In addition to doubts about whether twitter is worth 54.20, a share that musk offered on thursday sources said some investors appear skittish over his pattern of unpredictable behavior and a taste for controversy. Musk himself is willing to invest between 10 billion and 15 billion of his own cash to take twitter private, and just so you know, his own stake is already in twitter worth 3.4 billion. So it looks like he's willing to three to five x that, but obviously to take it private, it seems like he's. Gon na need other people to play ball, and just when it comes to musk yeah, it's one thing to be associated with the world's richest man.

It's a different thing when that particular guy yeah. He has no issue making headlines, not the best of headlines. We know that he's willing to go down on the mat with the sec, so that could be making people as they said, feel a bit skittish. But obviously this whole elon twitter saga is the storyline that just keeps on giving so as it continues to develop.

Obviously i'll, let you know what's going on, don't forget. We obviously have a lot of earnings for this week. We are at the start of earning seasons. There's gon na be more to come in the next two to three weeks and at the end of all that we have the big fed meeting at the start of may.

I am fully expecting this volatility to continue and right now i think signs are showing bullish right now. In the short term, i am definitely leaning bullish.
