We have a little bit of sad news coming out of the nft community and it's a piece of news that you've heard something similar to it and unfortunately, scams are a very, very real thing. Yuga lab confirms discord, server, hack, 200 east worth of nft stolen aka board api club aka, the most well-known highly publicized nft project once again suffered a hack and the hacker made away with a good chunk of change. We're talking about 360 thousand dollars worth of eth. The board api club discord server was hacked on saturday with the attacker making off with 200 each worth of nfts.

According to the project's community manager, his discord account was compromised and then the attacker used it. The compromise account and started posting phishing links in both the official board api club and its related metaverse project called the other side discord channels. This is exactly how the scams have been perpetrated in the past, a little bit more of like social engineering type of stuff of getting people to click on what they perceive to be legitimate links when, unfortunately, it is not. This is now the third time a bad actor has been able to impersonate a yuga labs run account to steal users funds.

The first was on april 1st, when the mute in ape yacht club 8662 was stolen through a phishing link posted in the project's discord with the second coming on april 25th. After the board, api club, instagram and discord accounts posted a thank link to an other side minting. So all these, they are all phishing links, they're all scam links the moral of the stories, be careful what you were clicking on and more than that be careful on what you're signing for the transaction make sure you're clicking on legitimate things. A prominent example of the type of phishing schemes that run rampant in the nft sector when someone successfully scammed him out of his board ape and then people right away, discord, isn't working for web3 communities.

We need a better platform that puts security first and then people retorted they're, like hey, discord's, actually, fine, it's people clicking on links. They shouldn't be clicking on right here. You lost your nft because you signed a malicious transaction. With your key stop, i mean discord.

Another client won't save you from repeating the same mistakes. I know this is sad and obviously people are getting stolen from, but this is a good point whether it's discord or not, it's people are erroneously clicking on a link they're clicking on a link that they think is real when it's not so it doesn't matter. If it's discord or myspace clicking on a bad link is clicking on a bad link, especially when you just go ahead and sign it um. So in the end it these hackers.

These attackers are relying on people to really approve the transaction, and then it just goes and they get off with it. So i wanted to remind you that you got to be careful, be careful with anything you're doing in the world of crypto and make sure what you are doing will take. Take the time, out of your day, to double check that what you're doing or not doing is like actually a legitimate action, because you don't want to be another cautionary tale, such as the people who are, unfortunately, over the weekend, lost quite a chunk of change. What was it again, 360 000.
