Don’t get caught up in this hype. Plenty of great stocks out there with better long term potential and less risk.
Everybody is trying to make fast money, but the truth is, the Redditer’s had the element of surprise. Now, they don’t. The hedgies are going to start monitoring their subreddit and act accordingly. Honestly, I don’t know if we’ll be able to do it again.
I imagine that they’ll still short, but at higher prices. The cat is out of the bag, and they’ll be taking major risks on trying to short AMC. They most likely covered their shorts and aren’t even going to touch it.

Pull up a 3 year AMC chart and look at it. See how it declines every quarter for 3 years. Now look at the price BEFORE covid. It was around $8. That is when it had full revenue. Now… it has no revenue, and 900M dollars of debt. So think for a second. Why do you think a company that was valued at $8 a share BEFORE covid… is going to magically be worth $50 a share after covid? Use your brains and research a stock before buying it because some meme on reddit told you to.
