Devs confirm the perpetual date for the merge. If you've been paying attention to to ethereum like for any amount of time you've probably heard about this whole thing it going from proof of work to proof of stake and you've also probably realized that it has a tendency to keep getting pushed back and back and back. And we don't get a date well allegedly that is all changed. Because now we do have a date for the ethereum merge ethereum's transition journey from proof of work to proof of stake journey could take up to years as it began with the launch of beacon chain.

In december 2020. And has several delays on the way. But allegedly everything's different now ethereum network is nearing the merger phase of its crucial transition from proof of work mining consensus to proof of stake aetherium devs. Offered a perpetual merger date during a conference.

Call on thursday. And the date. Mark your calendar. Put a big circle on it september 19th now to be fair in the past.

They have delayed this and delayed this and delayed this. But hey they're saying hey. We're pretty serious about this one this time. We mean it so that's the date september 19th.

Now if you're wondering why this matters at all basically. It's changing the technical consensus model for a theorem instead of having minors you're going to have validators this does have a far less of an impact on the environment when this goes through it'll have like it to the tune of like 99 less of an impact on the environment. But potentially more importantly is when you simulate it and you can check this out on ultra sound. It's actually going to go from an inflationary crypto to deflationary.

So just from a pure financial standpoint. Less and less supply instead of growing growing growing. There's going to be less and less and less. So you can simulate this once again on ultrasound dot money.

The proposed target date. Should be seen as a road map. Rather than a hard deadline. Yes.

Obviously they have pushed this back in the past. They have the difficulty bomb and all that good jazz. But this one they seem to be a bit more serious about but that doesn't necessarily mean that they have to stick to it so they are looking at the gourley merge on the 11th and then in august. We have some other things going on.

But right now just mark your calendar september 19th the ethereum merge right there if you have your east staked. This will not unlock. It there's actually some other technical things that have to happen before those contracts become unlocked. If you have all yours staked.
