Thank you thank you thank you I appreciate you joining me for another episode of the Matt Core Show where we're going to talk about everything that is stocks, crypto, and breaking news. and man oh man do we have store stories on all those in terms of stocks. We had some amazing performance in the market today that you should be kind of excited about. I would argue that bullish is the way to go in the short term, so we'll be getting into that in terms of crypto.

Kevin O'leary is turning some heads. Apparently the guy was paid 15 mil. that's within M million. 15 million to be a spokesman for FTX So we'll be getting into that because apparently he also has a 9 million dollar loss.

So we're going to be getting that. And in terms of breaking news, if you haven't been on any social media today, you might be surprised to find out that the WNBA star Brittany Greiner has been released or is about to be released from Russian prison. A deal was struck. Some people are happy, some people are very unhappy and a little bit I'll be explaining why I'm personally in the middle.

Those are the three major things we're going to be going over today. As you can tell, it's a very jam-packed show and at the end we're gonna save a little bit of time to do a bit of Q A. I Think it looks good? It's easy. it has everything you need. But once again, this is Trading View pinned to the top of chat. It's how I do my all my emoji training.

What I want to point out to you here is basically we had five consecutive lower closes in a row and then finally we got the bounce today. So not only is it statistically unlikely to have red Day Red Day Red Day Like a continuation of red days, but this time we sold off pretty heavily and then we hit this perfect support that we've all kind of already marked out at 393 and from there we started to bounce. Will we get the follow through today? I Have absolutely no clue I Know Today was a pretty nice day and I'm looking for a continuation up to 400 401 Something like that because I view that to be the next battle area. Stocks rise as S P 500 tries to stand a five day losing Streep and snap it.

Yes, we did. Maybe just maybe we'll be able to. kind of ride this into more of the I suppose Santa Claus rally that you hear so many people talking about. If you've heard that term before and you don't quite know what it means, it's all about the concept of the end of the year into the first week of January.

From the stock market seasonal perspective, it pays to be a bull. That doesn't mean this period is always bullish, but statistically, it's more likely to be bullish than not. So we fortunately snapped that losing streak if you're a little bit more color motivated pretty. Green Day in the market and I like to bring this up because the last five days have been pretty horrifically red.

I mean even Crypto is catching a bid right now Bitcoin Trading just above seventeen thousand each, just below 1300. Optimism has returned, at least in the short term. Now that's a quick breakdown of everything, and unfortunately, you don't have to go that far to find something that's kind kind of pessimistic if you will. BlackRock Says get ready for a recession unlike any other.

What worked in the past won't work now. I mean dude, that's a little doomsday if you ask me. Ready for a recession unlike any other. Have they seen how the Roaring Twenties ended in the 1900s there? I mean I Don't know if I'd be that bearish on the scenario, but anyway, we're gonna break this down.

I'll share my thoughts I would love to get your thoughts but before we get into all of that as always, I Don't want to make your eyes gloss over and talk about all this Mumbo Jumble in the world of stocks, crypto, and breaking news because sometimes it's not as light, it's not as fun. Are you personable? no, no to those either of those.

What I think I would do in this town is I have already a pretty hardcore collection of flannel shirts. I think I could just wear those flannel shirts and open a beer for someone like I don't want some highfalutin, fancy schmancy cocktail type of place? No. I just want to wear my flannel shorts and like open beer for people and give them good conversation. Anyway, that's where I think I would do if this whole content stuff didn't work out.

Number Dose You can see that we're going with a little bit more of like the Winter Cold Theme During the cold: Winters the Alaskan wood frog completely freezes and becomes a frog-shaped block of ice. It stops breathing. then its heart stops beating. Several months later, when spring arrives, the Frog thaws out, jumps back into life and Carries On as if nothing ever happened.

I Think there's probably some deep philosophical story that we could all take away from this and the best thing I could come up with is maybe if Life's a little hard, maybe if it's getting a little cold, you should just completely freeze yourself and pretend life doesn't exist for a couple months and just dethaw when the moment is appropriate for you to return to your life just throwing it out there. Hey, if it works in Mother Nature Why can't it work for us humans? And last but not least and arguably probably one of the funniest things: I Saw today, this guy scams scammers for over twenty thousand dollars I Make over twenty thousand dollars scamming scammers money on cash app I'm going to show you how I scam scammers I Find scammers easily by going to any video related to finance or investment and they usually list a WhatsApp number that they want you to message. I then message them saying that I'm ready here I say that I have twenty thousand dollars and I'm ready to give it to him and he's like, well, I can return 140 000 by the end of the week. Wow, that's a great investment.

700 for a video of me sending them the ten thousand. Six hundred percent. Except this isn't cash app. no, it's a fake version I programmed and to the scammer it looks like I said ten thousand dollars but it also looks like that cash app is holding the money away from the scammer because the amount is too large and I've never set money to this person before and that the scammer must first send me fifty dollars to release the 10K you know for security purposes and one after another genius I make over twenty thousand dollars, codes it up says hey, I can't send it trying to and then they all send them 50 55 75 So funny, what is Savage Congrats congratulations to him and that leads us to the actual actual show.

The big news of the day. We're going to start with it. Let's start with the exciting thing and we'll see where it kind of goes from there. WNBA star Brittany Greiner was freed from Russia in a prisoner swap for an arms dealer.

Kind of interesting story and I want to get some thoughts out there? So Brittany Greiner if you don't know, Uh, probably one of the most popular WNBA stars and she was playing in a Russian League and she says it was an accident but she ended up getting sentenced to nine years in Russian prison a Pinot colony because she had cannabis oil. Basically she brought a vape pen with her. Now do I agree with that at all? No. I Honestly don't think anyone in this entire world should ever be getting in trouble for pot the devil's lettuce Jazz cabbage I don't buy it.

so do I think her sentencing is stupid 100 I Understand that it's their laws, it's their country. but still in my opinion it is pretty dumb and I was also listening to some lawyers speak about this. and I guess even within Russian law by their definitions of things, she very much had the book thrown at her. So even from Russia's side, this was clearly a political Ploy if this was some random Joe Schmo I Don't think anything would have happened, they just realized that it was a person who in their eyes might somewhat be known in American culture, it was a political fight.

But anyway, so some positive news and just in general I'm happy. I I Really am because I don't think she deserved to be in Russian prison whatsoever. So I'm happy that she's coming back and that's all positive. I Mean obviously for her friends, her family, and just the country as a whole, it's good to have more.

Americans Who in my own opinion, don't deserve to be in prison. So why is this making so many headlines? It's probably more so because of this last part of who is actually swamped. It wasn't like we caught someone from Russia who was dealing with the devil's lettuce here in the U.S and it was kind of a fair switch. We're talking about a person Brittany geiner nine years in Russian prison for weed.

The person we swapped her for his name was Victor boot an arms dealer who funded many wars. it is crazy and he was in the U.S for 25 years that was his sentencing and the sentencing would be up in 2029.. So for me my opinion is it just wasn't a fair swap. Like don't get me wrong, I'm stoked that she's back.

I'm happy for her friends, her family, the Us as a whole. I Don't think she should have ever been in prison, but if we're just looking at like okay, was it one for one here? Not really. We're talking about someone sentenced for nine years for having pot on them or cannabis oil if we want to be technical. For a dude who was in arms dealer, his moniker was literally The Merchant of death.

that was the guy's name. So we're swapping getting our pothead back for The Merchant of death. It just doesn't really add up and obviously many people were starting to point that out. Meet: Brittany Greiner and Marine Parr excuse me Paul Whelan Both Americans both were convicted in Russian courts on dubious charges, both serving multi-year sentences in Russian prison Brittany Hates America Paul served America guess which one Biden traded a terrorist 2 free Semper Fi Paul so Paul Whelan was he's still currently in a Russian prison for Espionage sabotage Like that's what he was charged with and in my eyes that seems to be a little bit closer to like, you know, the fair weight on the scales.

Like one American Soldier for sabotage a Russian arms dealer for whatever reason and maybe I'm wrong I'm no lawyer I don't speak legalese, but they kind of seem to be fighting in the same weight class now obviously I think it would be awesome if we could just both get get them back I'm once again I'm not against Brittany coming home I think that is a good thing I Don't know how to be more clear about it I'm just saying was it an equal trade and in my opinion, my own opinion, my own humble opinion I don't see how it was in equal trade whatsoever. If anything I was like well, why not try to get both of them back with this dude like we gave up an arms dealer He was sentenced over 25 years in prison here in the U.S his name was legitimately The Merchant of death and we just got a pot head back I have anything I Just honestly wish they could both come back. That's kind of my opinion on this. so kind of going with this.

same other big political things did happen today. House passes massive 850 billion almost a trilly defense bill that would scrap military Rona vaccine mandate teeing up Senate vote so this was on the house and obviously just the the way things work in the U.S When it passes the house then it goes to the Senate and then from the Senate Obviously it will go to the president for a bill to become a law. The measure includes a provision to scrap the Pentagon Rona vaccine mandate for active duty service members Biden is expected to sign the legislation despite his support for The vaccine mandate so it'll be kind of interesting to see if he is. You know, coming back on his words like kind of rolling them back, stepping back on his words here.

Uh, so I Think this is kind of a sign that maybe we are getting closer and closer to whatever that new normal is. It's kind of insane that we are at the end of 2022 still talking about Rona mandates and shots and boosters and all of that. Uh, but it seems like we are slowly but surely getting to, hopefully putting that period of our history behind us. I Mean honestly, fingers crossed, Representative: AOC Alexandria Ocasio-cortez is under investigation by the house.

Ethics Committee Oh, has the shoe on the table? Turned to the other side. You have a person here who always screams about how everyone else is unethical and she is the virtue signaling person we should all aspire to be. Well, potentially a little bit of a farce. Democratic Representative AOC of New York is under investigation by the house.

Ethics Committee The committee said it had received a referral from the Office of Congressional Ethics, a separate office that reviews misconduct allegations on June 23rd. That means a majority of the body decided the matter was substantial enough to refer to the committee. Just so you know, the Congresswoman has always taken ethics incredibly seriously, refusing any donations from lobbyists, corporations, or other special interests. We are confident that this matter will be dismissed.

that is from Aoc's personal team her PR rep. Right now we don't know the exact reason of why it's prompting an Ethics Committee review. The best assumption going is because of her attendance at the Met Gala this whole thing of Congress people shouldn't be accepting gifts and Met Gala tickets can go up to Thirty thirty five thousand dollars and she was invited to go for free. So everyone's like, well that was a gift So people are kind of calling out this event where she wore the attacks the rich stress.

That's the best assumption. but once again, just to cover my own basis is here. That's not, it's not confirmed, but it's the best guess going. uh, obviously on all the craziness and politics.

Whether you want to talk about AOC whether you want to talk about biting, kind of stepping back his own thoughts and opinions on The Rona mandates or if you have any hot takes on was it a fair trade, Was it a fair trade folks? I Get many things wrong. So maybe my take on this situation is wrong I just wanted to share it with all of you to I don't know, spark some good conversation. Doesn't matter if you want a break or not here, we are still talking about it because that's how complicated and kind of devious and just absolutely contorted this whole crypto collapse has become. FTX Founder Sam Bakeman Freed is said to Face Market Manipulation Inquiry Finally a U.S I Guess Prosecutor Federal Prosecutor is finally officially doing something Federal Prosecutors are investigating whether Sam Bakeman Frieden is hedge fund orchestrated trades in a way that led to the collapse of two cryptocurrencies in May U.S Prosecutors in Manhattan are examining the possibility that Mr Bankman free steered the prices of two interlinked currencies Tara USD and Luna to benefit the entities he control including FDX and ala media. The investigation is in its early stages and it is not yet clear whether the prosecutors have determined any wrongdoing by Mr Bankman Freed or when they began looking at the Terra USD and Luna trades.

This has been something that's been hypothesized for a hot minute that Sam Bakeman Freed might have had a hand in depegging Tara Maybe it had a hand in taking down Celsius and in a weird way is I Suppose it's a little bit. IR ironic a little bit. Shakespearean that if this is proven to be true, if it's proven to be true, I would argue that the thing he took down Tara Luna eventually took him down because without Tara, Luna's collapse and everything else, if you follow, just The Dominoes I would argue that that led to the collapse of FTX And what a Shakespearean I guess resolution to this. overall.

Story I mean that would be crazy. The thing he killed ended up killing him. Obviously time will tell the investigation is just getting started. I don't want to speak out of turn and I also don't speak legalese anyway.

but I just wanted to kind of put it on your radar because this would be a very interesting path for the narrative to take if he ended up just kind of shooting himself and not realizing him. Former: FTX CEO Sam Bakeman Freed hit with a campaign Finance campaign over GOP dark Money So this is kind of interesting for quite a while. We know SPF was a big donator to Democrats to the tune of like 38 39 million dollars but recently on a Twitter space call, people were talking to him about it and he's like I kind of think that's funny because I donated the same amount to Republicans and then this was backed up by some tweets here and there and then other interviews. But anyway, ever since the blow up Sam Bakeman Freda said yeah I've donated to Democrats but I also donated about the same same amount to Republicans he just did it through like dark Avenues uh in ethics Watchung group as the Federal Election Commission to investigate former FTX CEO Sam Bateman Freed for alleged serious violations of election law.

The complaint by Citizens For Responsibility and Ethics in Washington cites Bankman Freeze admitted contributions of quote-unquote dark money to Republican election efforts during the 2022 primary season. The complaint notes that Bankman Freed was until recently a cryptocurrency billionaire and known top Democratic contributor contributor excuse me I had to like awkwardly like kind of cough and I try to catch it in my throat there. My apologies I'll be better. That's exactly why I never get invited on Kelly Ripa show it's just she's like I don't deal with people who call off halfway through sentence like she would just probably take me out if I ended up doing it that way anyway.

who admittedly during your recent public interview uh that he gave dark money contributions to support Republicans in federal elections in the past cycle. Once again, he said it, does it make it true I don't know, like it's an interesting story that should be looked into I don't have the exact evidence. What we do have the evidence of is clearly he donated a buttload of money to Democrats We also know that if you're looking at the House Finance committee, there was four members actively on that found house finance committee who got donations from FTX and then allegedly next week they're going to be interviewing him on Tuesday Uh, actually that's going to be important right? here. Lawmakers are calling on Ftx's sandbagment free to testify or be subpoenaed.

The American people need answers if you're like me. Yeah, obviously this dude should be in the U.S and he should be grilled because we need to get to the end of this story. We need to find out truly what happened. That's my opinion and if you don't agree with that opinion, I I do I would love to know what yours is I mean because I I very much need this story to stop.

But anyway, House Financial Services chair Waters doesn't plan to subpoena Sam Bakeman free to testify at hearing on FTX collapse If you read this CNBC article, you might be scratching your head and you're like whoa, whoa whoa what? What are you talking about CNBC I Thought just last week they were tweeting back and forth. Remember that weird thing with Sam Bakeman Freed where he quote tweeted her, he's like hey, I'd love to be there but I might need extra time to kind of figure out what's going on and then she dropped the hammer on him and said boy, get your ass here now I Have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of waters Maxine Waters But the way she's handling this situation I Do applaud it and that's what it's like to be a human. Realize that you don't have to be all left or all right. You just kind of look at the things that you like and you'll be like I like that I don't like that I like this I don't like that I think that's what kind of being an informed citizen is all about.

But anyway, Maxine Waters on this specific issue continues to impress. Lies are circulating on CNBC that I am not willing to subpoena Sam Bateman Freed he was has been requested to testify at the December 13th hearing, A subpoena is definitely on the table. Stay tuned. Nothing confirmed yet.

but I think if he's not going to show up, our boy might legitimately get subpoenaed. Uh, just just to throw that out there. DX Spokesman: Kevin O'leary says he lost his 15 million payday from crypto firm. You might be like, what do you mean his payday like was he invested? Was it tranche like what's going on? What? What's the deal with this 15 mil? Just to add a little bit more context to it, Here you go: Kevin O'leary says he lost almost 10 million in the FTX collapse.

That and that the exchange had paid him 15 million to be a spokesman. so he lost almost 10 and he was paid 15.. So if you do some quick math, he's still net ahead five million dollars and this is Mr Wonderful himself. Fun fact: If you're watching this video right now in real time with me on December 8th and maybe more.

so if you stock my social media, you know that I interviewed him yesterday. Uh, I am trying to get the interview out this weekend, but I had a about a five to ten minute sit down and what's crazy about it? Is this all happened today. So unfortunately when I spoke with them yesterday, I wasn't given the opportunity to talk to him about the 15 mil because it was all recorded yesterday and all this news was breaking this morning. Talk about just like I feel fortunate that I was even in the position.

Shout out to Benzinga for them helping me set up the interview with Kevin O'leary But man, even if I just one day later, the questions could have been so much more spicy. I I watching it all back in my honest critiques of myself I I hit him with some good questions. but I wish I was just a bit more aggressive and maybe I'm doing a little bit of hindsight bias because I see all this now and I'm like oh man, these questions write themselves like obviously your net ahead five mil. Are you giving it back? What's going on all that good stuff, but it is what it is.

The interview filmed yesterday. ideally it will be coming out on Saturday of this weekend. stay posted for that. But yeah, the dude apparently paid a lot and uh, allegedly has about just under 10 mil that he can no longer access on the FTX exchange and you could hear it from him himself.

So I want you to sort of walk us through all of this because I think there's a lot of questions uh about what happened I know that you've lost money in the process of all this? That would be an understatement. but I want to understand how much money you lost in the context. but I also want to understand how the in how the investment and this ambassadorship happened at the time that it happened you did disclose it. but but I want to understand how you went from calling crypto garbage at one point as you know to deciding that this was something that you were going to stand behind.

Yes, I recall that conversation calling it garbage right here on this show in 2017. that was a time when a New York hotel is being tokenized here and I was looking at that and uh, the regulator let me know they were not happy with that idea and that's when I stepped away from this because clearly the regulatory environment was not prepared. Then facts changed. I saw the Canadians issue.

The first ETF with Bitcoin is on the relying ethereum. then Switzerland opened up, then Australia opened up and then I said wait a second world's changing I got to be an investor and that started my journey. I I'm an investor in the largest regulated Exchange in Canada called Wonderfi the walls are called bit by we're regulated by the Osc I have my accounts up there but the I felt that getting involved when I was approached with with Sam bankman freed that I could get an inside seat on what was considered then and I I gotta I Gotta tell you the institutional interest in in FTX on the U.S Equity was unbelievable. The amount of people that approached me saying how do I get a piece of this deal and I said at that time I am a paid spokesperson I cannot bring you as an in as an LP not a single dollar that I lost is anybody else's money except mine.

That's important for me because that's an issue. How much were you paid? Total deal was just under 15 million dollars all in including a bunch of agents and that I had to pay because I needed sag after release to be able to do commercials for it. and when I did that I put about 9.7 million into crypto I think that's what I've lost. it's all at zero I don't know because my account got scraped a couple of weeks ago.

all the data, all the coins, everything. So then I lost the money I invested. those are zeros. too foreign.

all right. He actually didn't stop there. so that was basically paid 15 mil lost. 9.7 is crypto lost one mill in the FTX investment.

so he's still a net ahead. By this basic math about four mil. I mean I know that that's the Def. I Know that's true, but there are times when you might have a pretty good idea about whether someone.

Oh, that's a tough analogy. I'm not making it an analogy I'm saying there are times in the past where we know pretty you know. That's why. if you're a defense attorney that represents someone that you know is guilty, you gotta say yeah.

Well, they're Innocent But you may know they're guilty. You may know they're guilty if you find someone. If you watch someone kill someone, yeah, they're innocent. I Don't think there's only the murder of my money in this case.

It's the murder of my money. Tx's money. That's my views. everybody's look.

Joe If you yes money that you got I don't know I don't think you should be singing the blues right now at all. Oh yes, I'm singing the blues. 15 million didn't pan out that you, that's a lot of money. A paid spokesperson.

It's a lot of money. You didn't have to do much for that. That's pretty that's found in a different position. That's a different discussion, right? You know you can make that decision on your own.

but I'm going to this point if you want to say he's guilty before he's tried I Just don't understand it. but it may end up costing me 15. because it's a reputational and everything else. that's the problem.

That's why I stay on this Pursuit I'm very transparent about it I've disclosed everything I know about it I will find out more information if I make the credit committee I will act as a fiduciary for everybody involved I will testify I Am an advocate for this industry and this changes nothing. Just look at the numbers that came out of circle today. I'm an investor there too. You've got the I lost it all in FTX and we have a fantastic print on Circle The promise of crypto remains.

This will not change it and you'll be discussing this case for two years. It's not going to go away at least I think at least two years and then. Kind of interesting that he wants to represent the creditors as in like the people who lost money to fight with it. And this last part, you can kind of tell in the Benzinga Future of Crypto conference he kind of was working on these lines I Heard this on the panel yesterday, but I he spoke about it in his interview with me and then he said it again here.

and this is the part that I'm I'm curious on all of your take. Here's what: I don't understand I mean you're right Everybody who we thought were Savvy investors can look at this and say we should have seen the signs. We should have known I listened to the interview that Andrew did with him and I thought that guy's a crook and a liar. You listened to it and said you'd invest money with them again.

If it turns out there's nothing criminally wrong here. What did you hear that I had in the context of that is I have been known for decades to invest in. entrepreneurs have had catastrophic outcomes bad ones because they learn a lot from their mistakes. It may not fit for Sandbank and Freed because we don't know the outcome what's going to occur.

But all I can say is everything he said. oh I just didn't realize how Wild is that How Wild is that that? he tweeted this I lost Millions as an investor in FTX and got sandblasted as a paid spokesperson for the firm. But after listening to that interview I'm in the Bill Ackman Camp about the kid. If you don't know what Bill Ackman said about about it, who's a famed Wall Street guy he said uh, this Sam Bateman freed character I believe him right? like and I was like what do you mean you believe him just kind of an awkwardly bad look and that's really what I was going with when I had the opportunity to speak with Kevin I was like hey man, don't you understand that the populist movement right now is against it? It's more of an emotional thing that people got hurt.

and then the final question I realized and I was like are you personally angry like are you angry at Sam Bateman freed and to that he had some interesting I just didn't realize you didn't realize there was an eight billion dollar hole. You didn't realize that there was like these client's funds that were being swapped over there. It's not his fault like that. That to me is like man, that guy has bad news.

That's not just you had bad luck, he was lying and manipulating you don't No, because you have no data all I'm saying is let's do the forensic audit. Let's do the forensic audit. So the final part there I Kind of get that in America you are innocent until proven guilty and I think right now the public court is very much against Sam Bateman Freed because it seems like even the evidence that is already publicly available seems to be pretty damning. But unfortunately we are in a scenario. Well, this will most likely play out over the next couple of years because Justice moves slowly. We'll be talking about that AMC slightly green up two cents and Ape also slightly green up 1.5 cents. Unfortunately, yesterday ape did hit a new all-time low but GameStop I would say is the one that a lot of people were talking about Before we get there, let's talk about the overall: Market U.S Stocks climb is the S P 500 looks to snap its five-day losing streak, so pause indoor collapse. Congratulations to everyone who's a little bit bullish.

That's a very, very good thing. But I Also want to remind you that even this recent sell-off and guess how much market cap has been lost from the top tier: S P 500 companies. in the recent sell-off, it's almost a trillion dollars, a hair under 800 billion. That's how much has been lost in total market cap from some of the top tier.

S P 500 companies. And then this kind of brings us back to where are we going and we're going to get a lot more insight next week. This week is kind of like whatever The most exciting thing about this week is going to be tomorrow when we do payday. Friday So make sure you're on locals for that because that's how we're going to be picking our competitors to give away a thousand dollars.

So be there on the morning stream around 10 10, 15, 10, 30 in the morning we are giving away one thousand dollars. That's going to be the most exciting thing about this week. Next week we get the CPI report which is the Consumer Price Index The Fomc meeting starts on Tuesday concludes on Wednesday which means on Wednesday at 2 P.m we get the next rate hike. Also at 2 30.

That's when we get the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell he's doing his live press conference. That's all happening next week. On top of it, there's chance that Sam and Bakeman Free is going to be with the House Committee on Tuesday and potentially the Senate Committee on Wednesday. And this is all added on to all the normal normal macro economic reports.

And then on Friday It's freaking quadruple witching, which is associated with higher volatility. So this week you might be thinking things are a little bit more calm. not that crazy. I Hope you enjoyed the break because next week is going to be lit.

AF Speaking of lit, AF Oil swings to loss after U.S Pipeline outage boosts volatility. So if you've been in some of these oil trades lately, you've realized that my first bounce call out was pretty right. And then really. ever since we got into December it started to get absolutely crushed.

Now there's a couple of things going on in the world of oil, which just to be completely transparent with you, I'm still bullish on I'm still invested in I Think this is momentary and in reality I Think the Biden Administration is going to have to come in and start buying oil at these prices because they have completely decimated the Strategic petroleum reserve and they just need to get more bears of oil back in it. So I think the U.S government is about to become the main buyer. but that's just my own thesis. Anywho, Keystone oil pipeline is shut for repairs, no timetable given wtei erases Advance after climbing as much as 4.8 percent in New York so not so good there.

and then also here. Russia's oil exports plunge on EU price cap and latest round of sanctions. Russia's oil experts have plunged amid the Eu's price cap on Russian crude and the latest round of sanctioned squeezing revenue for Moscow's wartime economy. Russia's Seabourn oil shipments fell by 16, which is a lot or about half a million barrels per day on Tuesday of this week.

That is a lot of black gold and even steeper 50 drop in the daily Barrel shipments largely due to the Fallen shipments headed Russia's Black, Sea and Baltic ports. The decline comes shortly after the EU ban on Russian Seaburn oil imports kicked into effect and the 60 price cap on Russian oil was imposed. It's a promising sign that the latest round of sanctions have taken a toll on Moscow's War Revenue despite concerns from industry experts that Western Nations had no way to fully enforce a price cap mechanism and that the measure would fail to have a meaningful impact on energy pricing. Well, it seems like those analysts were wrong because Russia seems to be kind of, you know, scurrying around because of all this.

it's in an economic lens. this is playing out very, very poorly for Russia at least as of now. and I don't really have any deep thoughts on why I think that would change any time in the future, but anyway, bring it back to individual stocks. Unfortunately, we have another company that is announcing layoffs Salesforce Employees are bracing for more layoffs amid the company's major executive.

Exodus Every single day another company is announcing layoffs. This is just at this point par for the course it legitimately is. I Don't know what else to say, we are clearly heading into tough. Economic Times I'm in no way agreeing with BlackRock where this is about to be something that's unheard of and we've never dealt with before.

But markets are cyclical. Markets go up, Markets come down, markets go up, Markets come down. In all of 2021, the markets ripped. and honestly, that was just a continuation of a decade plus bull market this year.

Things have changed. not right now, but at one point we were officially in a bear. Market We were technically never officially in a recession, but I would all argue that on an individual basis. that's kind of what our life actually felt like.

So I just want to put that out there. But anyway, we're getting more and more. At first, it started in Crypto and Big Tech but now it's getting over into the world of financials and Big Tech's getting honestly even worse. So I would say don't call for doomsday I Think that's a poor way to think about the situation.

If anything, this is the time for you to buy your beloved. Blue Chip Investments as things get worse and I think they're gonna get worse into 2023 a portion of the way. And basically I'm waiting for the Federal Reserve to stop hiking raids I don't care if they pause it, that's fine. but I'm not gonna be an investor right now as they continue to hike and hike and hike.

In my opinion, that is a silly time to invest. I'm waiting for the headwinds that the Federal Reserve is producing to finally calm down and then I'm just looking to really lay some money into the market after that. If you had to ask me for a timetable, just very, very roughly. I'd Put it about mid-2023 is the time that I'm looking for the exciting long-term Investments That's my own opinion.

Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Obviously, we'll see how it all ends up playing out, but that's where I'm really looking to throw money into the market. The CEO of base says the exchange will see Revenue plunged at least 50 percent in 2022 as turmoil weighs on Crypto markets. that's brutal.

I Mean if we take a quick look at Crypto, it's finally bouncing back like there's some optimism there. Bitcoin above 17. If you look at Eth, it's just below 1300. but man oh man, if you go back to November of last year until now Bitcoin Ethereum, they're down in excess of 60.

They got completely brutalized. You know it's doing well though, but still kind of In the world of Crypto, particularly Nfts GameStop jumps 10 despite third quarter earnings Miss as St Louis is the meme stock favorite will consider Acquisitions So this got people excited without a doubt. Also, on top of it, people were pretty excited to know that Okay, they're kind of quote unquote, trimming the fat. They're getting rid of some of their employees and recently we saw this at Facebook AKA Meta where they got rid of their weaker performing employees and the stock popped on it.

So interesting news. I Wouldn't say it's positive in terms of the trajectory of the company, but I would argue that it is positive in terms of the stock price. That's why GameStop's up right now. People are like ooh, acquired.

That could be an interesting play out for this situation. So we're kind of waiting on that. Uh, a side note that I want to throw in here. It seems like they were able to kind of Parry any of the damage that would have been dealt from FTX Yes GameStop had connections to FTX they were officially a partner with them.

Uh, but it sounds like it came a little bit too late relative to Ftx's blow up that it was minimal. I Mean if you listen to Matt Furlong the current CEO of GameStop he basically said it's it's a nothing burger for them at this point. Moving on to: Elon take a look at the office space that Elon must turn into bedrooms at Twitter's headquarter. Well, I guess the work hours have become so long and so exhaustive that they're literally putting beds and TVs kind of like a mini hotel room going on in here.

Uh, what's kind of interesting is I guess in California's specifically San Francisco From what I'm reading on the internet, the concept of putting real estate like human domiciles in commercial buildings is a big big No-No I'm by no means a real estate um, like Guru that's super knowledgeable about San Francisco But just from what I'm reading on the interwebs, apparently it's a massive No-No that could get you in serious trouble and a lot of people are starting to point this out of like dude, Elon you're just asking local authorities to really come screw with you So if anyone is familiar with San Francisco Silicon Valley base real estate is what he's doing. Is it going to get him in a bunch of trouble? Uh, I Would I Would love to know? Absolutely love to know Hasbro defends Magic The Gathering strategy says there's no evidence cards are over printed so I covered this as a little side story. A couple weeks ago and a handful of people reached out to me and said oh no like they're totally doing this and they're potentially ruining the entire business of Magic the Gathering Well, they decided to now just hit back and say no, no, no, we're totally not ruining it Jason Who wrote The Bank of America reports said players are getting increasingly turned off by a slew of new releases that flooded the market and decreased the secondary Market values of cards at a talk on Thursday Cynthia Williams today December 8th President of the Wizards of the Coast Union which is a wild name president of the Wizards of the Coast unit. Kind of interesting.

Imagine putting that on your LinkedIn Sid Hasbro doesn't have any indications of broad declines in the interest in the games products. There's no evidence that magic is over printed now. I Understand that this is a bit anecdotal, but all of the people who reached out to me said, without a doubt, Magic the Gathering is going down a negative path because of the overprinting from Hasbro so take it for how you want. but I have a feeling that the people who are so passionate about this game and this collection I have a feeling that they're right and Hasbro could be in some serious trouble I'm not gonna believe a suit in this particular matter.

And finally, to wrap it all up, the FTC sues to block Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard So this is just the antitrust Monopoly story in the US that's been going on forever now and once again, the FTC is just trying to stop it and say Microsoft you're not allowed to have it and once again, they're just using the argument that it is monopolistic. Why did Crypto pump today? Uh, I would argue mean reversion a lot of the market. Just like not only the stock market but the Futures market and also the crypto. Market I Think there's just been so much selling that there was just it was due for me in reversion. Thoughts on T Plus 90 that will be taking place in AMC Um I In my own opinion: I think the T Plus 90 is just snake oil I think it's complete BS we've never seen T plus any plus X pick your whatever your favorite number is in the year and a half that I've covered this whole AMC Gme thing multiple times.

People have tried to put forward one of these like t plus 30 T plus 35 T plus whatever and literally not one has been right I Don't mean that of like a sorority girl like no literally I Like the definition of literally, those callouts have literally never been right. Um, so I just don't buy it I don't buy it whatsoever? Uh should I do my laundry or ignore it for another day. I'm always a fan of doing anything important and big like that when you are as wise as you can be and honestly, if you push it off theoretically, you should be more wise tomorrow. Um, so on my vote is for tomorrow.

And another little philosophical tidbit: I'll leave with you of when you should or shouldn't do your laundry. Um, the earlier you fall behind, the more time you have to catch back up. So like my number that I'm giving you I guess some of it I'm theoretically down and some of it I have not theoretically but realistically lost. Like the number I'm citing is from Trading options on AMC but also invested in stock in AMC Um, if I count both I think it's probably in excess of like 600k. Um, now that I'm really running like going over the numbers in my mind, uh, do you think Ape will be delisted? this is a phenomenal question. I Pair I appreciate that carrot.

Um, will it be delisted? So I reached out to some of the people I know that work at the New York Stock Exchange and apparently it's essentially up to them. If the New York Stock Exchange wants to keep it on, they're going to keep it on the the rules. They they like to play fast and loose with the rules of what gets listed and what gets delisted. It's not like, oh, if it's under a dollar for x amount of days, it'll automatically get delisted.

That's not how it works and they basically contort the rules however they want. If they want it to be delisted, they're going to delist it. If they want to keep it on, they're going to keep it on. It's that straightforward foreign news means an update on their marriage.

Uh I remember Matt being up like 400k in options. Yeah I think at one point I think the highest number I saw was like 660 in like that craziness and looking back on it of course I wish I locked it in Coulda Shoulda would have folks Coulda Woulda should have.
