Foreign News Jim Chanos, a famed short seller, says he still has an active short against Tesla stock. Tesla is up 156 year-to-date That's not so good for the short guy. But the previous day girl, Tesla you are still short on uh, but using options? Yes, uh, we are. We're short, we're short the stock and uh, we just think it's it's ridiculously overvalued, right? But betting against it has not worked out yet.

What do you think I've noticed right? right? What do you think would prompt them like the pain away? Convinced of your take that Tesla is just a car company, nothing more. Well again, the the Tesla story is changing right. Every every few months, the Tesla faith will Trot out a new, its batteries it. it's Robo taxis Now it's Ai And and but it has all this having followed the companies following it that uh, Tesla's sort of admitted.

uh, just recently. And it's it is full self-driving effort that it had been pursuing sort of the wrong wrong Avenue for seven years and that it's now going to a different type of software development. Uh, for the next iteration of full self-driving Uh, beta? Um, and so I just sort of wondering that this technological leader just told you that they basically were, you know, doing the wrong thing for seven years. Yeah, now my problem with that is is they've been selling it as a product they've been selling full self-driving for since 2016.

it doesn't exist and and so uh, you know this is uh, but this is a company that has gotten a a wide berth from Regulators Tough thing to short: I mean at one point in time there was a brief moment from September to January of last year that it seemed as if it worked. But from then I mean Tesla bottomed out at 100. it's up 160 plus percent right now Tesla's absolutely crushing it I Understand Sam what he's saying in terms of like, almost like the product effort change from Full self driving. but I don't think the supporters of Tesla or Elon themselves like really care.

So for me, I'm a long-term Tesla bull I understand that in the short term we have movements. So the upside and the downside. this isn't like, oh, every day is going to be a green day, but in the long term I think it's really, really tough to bet against Tesla Now maybe that's just me. I'm assuming if you're watching this, you're probably of the same mindset.

so obviously I would love to hear from you of your thoughts. But I mean I think the price action speaks for itself, going from 100 all the way up to 274 topping out at 299. Tesla's Tesla's crushing it given enough time, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out for gym channels there. but I have a feeling he's gonna have to throw in the white towel on that short position because he's just getting absolutely steamrolled.
