What's going on moon gang and my fellow game stonkers jimmy had an absolutely amazing day. It gained fifteen point eight two percent, which was thirty three dollars, and it means that jimmy closed up the date at 242. So, let's really hop into what is going on with gamestop to start today off it had a short interest of 20.72 percent shares on loan 14.87 million and a utilization of 67.67. After today, there was a net return of a hundred thousand shares which puts the shares on loan around 14.75 million, and the current estimated short interest of the free float is 20.56.
The days to cover based on the daily average trading volume over the past two weeks is 2.28 days. This all this means days to cover is if all the shorts were to cover at once, how many trading days would it take them to get out of their position? Basically, it's the shorts divided by some average trading volume. So with that being said 2.28 days, this means that it's in no way possible for all the shorts to cover in one or really even two days. That's telling me when gamestop really gets going.
It might be a two three four day affair and that's only if all the shorts were covering all at once, which that's really not going to play out in practice. So please, please, don't worry about missing the squeeze. Let's talk about this stock, oh just you know, this is the s p 500 uh a barometer for the overall market. It tracks 500 of the biggest companies in the us still looking pretty strong as long as it holds in here, i'm looking for a test of 422.82, which is the current all-time high.
Now, let's talk about gme gme ever since this breakout of 188 has been doing super super well and then we actually broke out of this resistance and support around 232. If we hold 232 yeah 250 is a key psychological level where i'm sure a lot of people are like. Oh, i want to buy and sell there, so there might be some sort of self-fulfilling prophecy at that price level. But what i'm really looking for is a breakout of 262, because that is support for march 12th from there.
I'm definitely definitely, then, watching the resistance resistance at 280 and past that that does open up the door to 300.. So those are just some small intraday targets. I'll personally be paying attention to, on the downside, i'd be looking for support at 232 and then from there around 220, if you're, looking for potentially a nice dip buy opportunity. Just so you know, for the sake of transparency, in my other account, i do own gme.
I am long on it, i own 100 shares and that's actually from early february late january, that time period, and in this account i own two different call options. The first one has a 320 strike that expires this friday. That's a high high risk reward play and then one that's a little bit lower risk reward. That's playing out for me thus far is a strike of 210.
Also for this friday. I want you to know that i, oh actually i have this third one as well. 200 or june 18th, this was actually a bit more of a safe play. That's really trending in my favor to start today off, i did have a different one and i locked in some profits early in the morning and then that's what i rolled into this higher risk reward play on gme and actually some more amc calls. So, just for the sake of transparency trying to be um as honest with my own position, i'm very, very bullish on it. I put my own money on the line with both amc and jimmy, but i just wanted you to know about my own positions. So with all that being said, i'd love to get your thoughts on gamestop in a comment below, because, overall, what i'm seeing in this daily chart, it looks like we might be getting some sort of like awesome, upward movement, very, very excited for both gme and amc. I think there's an over-approximation on DTC. A fair point is that during a squeeze, you won't experiencing normal volume and this, DTC is irrelevant. SI is SI and is probably more value for keying on and what it means for the ratio/forward motion.

I know some have seen this already but here is more explanation as to why to buy before Friday and why not to sell. The hedge funds are in the process of creating a fake short squeeze in the hopes of getting retail investors to sell before close of the market Friday. This would mean that the upcoming share recount and meeting would not have a true representation of number of shares and shareholders allowing them to get away with the past and current creation of fake/synthetic shares. This also will be the last chance to have your number of shares count for the AMC shareholder vote for July. More shares means more votes
What's the absolute lowest floor do you think. And whats the general consensus hold? I don't wanna mess this up and would be happy to fall in between (on the way down)
