So I Just had a guy tell me that the economy is booming and that the only reason people are struggling is because they're not working hard enough? Well, that's so for all of us struggling, we're just not working hard enough. Does this guy realize that today there are people who are making 30 to 50,000 more dollars a year than they they they were making 3 to 5 years ago. But they are struggling? More Today Than 3 to 5 years ago Has this guy walked through a grocery store? Has he seen the price of chips? Has he seen the price of cereal? Has he seen the price of anything? Does he realize that we have elderly who in order to put food on the table are having to go work at? Walmart even though they're 80 years old? Does he realize that people who are in their 30s and 40s who do have a job who do have a good career have moved back in with their parents because they can't afford the price of rent and they can't buy a home right now because the interest rates are so high and the prices of homes are still high. and then you add on property taxes and then you add on home insurance.
People can't afford that And it's not not as simple as go get a better job, go get a second job. It's not that simple telling a mom like me to go get a second job when I'm already working a full-time career and I already have a 2hour commute every day. I Don't have time for that. Okay, so what? I Go get a second job and now I'm never with my children.
How is that worth it? Oh, and now I have to go pay more daycare expenses. How was that worth it? Okay, we have a lot of people in this country and this world struggling and the answer is not to bury your hand in the head in the sand and act like nothing's going on. Do Not tell me the economy is booming, The economy is not booming when people are struggling the way they are, and I when I mean people I mean people that have good jobs, who have good degrees, who have two incomes coming in their house and the family is still struggling. That's not a booming economy.
No, because the economy is not booming cuz we have serious inflation, the stock market is booming, and obviously the stock market and the economy are sometimes correlated. They're not always going to be the same thing. So people are learning the harsh lesson and that the stock market is not the economy. The economy arguably very much on tilt.
It's been on tilt. We've been battling serious inflation for like a year and a half now and this is what happens when you have a Federal Reserve in a government that is printing money and spending money like no other. I don't know, even know if this guy is real. so like she might just be ranting about something that's obviously possible.
but if he is a real person, he's just uninformed like it. It is a very complex issue, but also seemingly simple. Inflation is bad, and pay has has not risen at the same amount as cost. So that's what happens.

There are many jobs that you can from home virtually and when the kids are asleep. We can do anything temporarily in order to get control of our finances. Do what you have to do, hold off on the expensive hair and nail appointments for a few months, get creative and create more money margin!
Working hard is a rouse. Physically working hard isn’t a thing anymore. It’s about investing and working smart I.E. Bitcoin.
Well, people voted for this inflation. Nothing more to say about what the government has done devaluing the dollar. I'll also point out that many people still squander their money to keep up with the Joneses. Even during these tough times.

I don’t know. I make 75,000 a year and I feel like I’m doing just fine. 2500 in living expenses. Still have 1000 left over every month for investments. Have a roommate aka gf that buys groceries and pays $500 towards rent. Wish I had more to go towards investments but it is what it is. Life ain’t hard.

Tax the ever-loving hell out of very large publicly traded companies (5k+ employees) that also have x% of employees who qualify for federal aid programs like Medicaid and food stamps and use the taxes to expand those benefits. Thinking Walmart, McDonalds, et el. Make them pay a living wage one way or the other – I for one am tired of my tax dollars being used to subsidize their low wages for decades.
The most important thing is to not have sex out of wedlock so you dont struggle then one person can work and the other can watch the kids. Don't tell me it's not possible I'm a high school dropout construction worker who's married with two kids. We are not wealthy but we also don't go without ever. These people need to stop blaming other people for their life circumstances that they put themselves in. The world don't know you shit stop being a pussy get up and get to work handle yourself.

30 something friends, 1 works a county job, 1 works a state job. She also wirks 2 nights a week teaching for the county with a different dept. Rent is 3k in california, insurance, utilities etc about $1000. Gas 4.50 -5 bucks. Commutes are terrible and cats break down , even if working in the same county. They don't buy starbucks, their cars are 10 years ild and paid off, they dont drink, they rately eat out, taxes are high and take about 40-45 percent of their gross, each, and neither contribute to tgeir 401ks. What is going on right now is going to kill people. They finally got the ginal straw that is going to hurt. He is being sued, because his car insurance didnt pay enough towards a car accident he got into. It has destroyed their relationship and they are now splitting up but cant even afford rent anywhere by themselves. I feel bad for them.
100 years ago the average wage of working 1.5 years would buy you a house outright, today the average wage of working 10 years buys you a house outright. middle class has slowly been becoming lower class the whole time.
