The market can now for two days in a row. Monday Tuesday Both looking pretty good. Tomorrow we have, uh, some inflation reports. Thursday We have some inflation reports.

It's start of earning season so there's a lot of movement. A lot of this, a lot of that, so it'll It will definitely be interesting to see what the President has to say about it. He should be coming on the stage in about a minute. Uh, but if you've ever paid attention to any of the President's previous commentary and public speeches and all that, uh, I Don't know if he's actually been on time once, so uh, we might have to go over some stuff just to kill a little bit of the time in between now.

and like when he actually actually starts? Uh, but we'll see. We'll see. We'll see. I vote for a wardrobe malfunction? What? what? Um, I Don't know if you're saying my Mal my wardrobe malfunction or the President's or maybe both.

I was waiting for the market to dip back into the Emma Cloud So pretty much since 9:40 As you can see we were outside.

outside, outside, outside, outside and then at 12:20 we started to dip back in and then I was like okay, wait for the dip back in but that's just your kind of like First Signal wait for the push back out and then maybe we could see it a little bit better on the 5 minute we started a push back out. so I actually took a long position into this ball are at 1250 I did post that on Locals Mc. Locals.com um if you're interested in it but uh I have a a play that I believe expires tomorrow October 11th Yeah, today's the 10th so it's a 1 DTE trade. Um, but I was just waiting for an opportunity and pretty much all day I missed the boat because it was just so strong and I didn't want to chase it.

Yeah, maybe at 1050 you could have taken this, but it was so far away that I don't know if taking that type of trade time and time again really would have worked itself out. Uh, but once again, this is for the overall. Market I was just waiting for some form of a pullback, but obviously very, very strong. Yeah, that might seem weird and in a weird in a strange sense, it is weird.

Uh, but really, if you look at it historically, uh, sometimes conflict can actually be really good for the markets. Uh, Lockie Martin Doing well over the past two days? Uh General Dynamics Doing well over the past two days? Uh RTX Ron Doing well over the past two days? Uh, nooc. This is north of Gram, so these are all like Aerospace defense contractor type of plays. Uh, obviously doing well.

Oil did. Pop Oil's now holding at 86. oil was bleeding off into the weekend. Then obviously on the announcement of what's going on in in Israel.

Now just to add a little bit of context to that, Israel itself is not a massive oil producing country, but the fact that it's elevated is telling you that the market is saying oh, okay, like this might end up. Uh, the conflict could end up spreading to local countries such as Iran Iraq what's going on in Saudi Arabia It could spread to oil producing countries, so prices elevated a little bit right now. Um, so we're going to see how that ends up playing out. Uh, obviously there are related oil companies.

Exxon is XOM Chevron is CVX Oxidal Petroleum's Oxy. There's Marathon There's a lot like with that. The one that's really been on my radar just because it's been doing very well lately is Palente Teer. Um, you could argue that.

this is in the world of Defense So it's um, a big data analytics company that about 60% of its revenue is directly coming from the US government. Um, they do a lot of stuff I Don't even think it's like publicized of what they do, but I know it's in the world of AI Big Data Data Analytics and they get millions and millions and millions of dollars from the US government and other government organizations. I Don't have this play like I'm not long I'm not short I don't have calls I don't have puts, but it's just something that's recently really on my watch list. so I'll be paying attention a little bit more to that.

Uh, for today, the market. Hey, we're here. We're still kind of just generically holding. rum is flat Tesla coming down a little bit The Q's coming down a little bit.

Where are we at? Where are we at? Tesla You have rum. What else is going today? There's Nvidia How is Paler actually looking on the intraday strong day though thus far palent here coming down a little bit. Um, if we look at the options Market things are coming down I mean in terms of the zero DTE for the Spy, we're going flat. but in terms of the all expiration, definitely getting a little bit more bearish.

and then if you look at the cues, definitely getting a bit more bearish than the all expiration. but once again, the zero DT kind of holding pretty steady. Um, you have a call wall on the Q's up here at 372 and a hedge wall down here at 365. Uh so um, a little bit concerning in the that from 11:45 till now the options Market in all expiration getting beat up.

but once again, the teal line of the zero DT holding pretty constant. So you could argue that maybe the options Market is turning a little bit Yeah You could argue that but like it's nothing like massive I would say I would say like yeah, it's turning something worthwhile to know to. Maybe you could pay attention to it, speeding up or not speeding up something like that, but at this point in the day I think a lot of people are waiting to see what Biden has to say. There's seemingly a slew of fed speakers doing their thing.

I do have this volume on? um I'll turn the volume on just in case like this. Um, he starts I don't know he was supposed to start a couple minutes ago, but he's literally always late. Uh, so just waiting on Biden to speak if you're joining in right now I mean we were told it's going to start at 1M but this is President delivering remarks on the terror terrorist attacks in Israel Uh, in between the morning show and this kind of like specialty show, I was doing a bit more of a deep dive into just some of the recent updates with all this stuff and I didn't realize that Harvard students. Whoa.

So it's a really I I would say since certainly, since I was born, it might be the most threatening and challenging geopolitical environment that I've ever seen because you have four nuclear Powers Uh, three of whom are led by sociopaths and that would be China Russia and North Korea. It is unknown how many Cas options picking up ZTE hit a question. how uh, how do people think the people's reaction will be to seeing actual videos of dead babies? specifically Palestinian ones rather than Israeli ones? It's not really I mean babies are babies Dude.

Uh, what about the uh situation with um, uh that? John How much do you think that that's going to play into? Oh, actually did I ask you this I want to ask you this if I didn't already Uh, one of the biggest stories I think for me today and Mario shared uh on his profile uh and I think it's in the nest if you want to check it out.

others is the Pentagon said that they are going to be using Special Forces to help with hostage rescue? Um I did I ask you about that? Yeah, no I didn't I have so I have heard about that I haven't seen the actual Source I know we're the the team and the space is so good on waiting for multiple um, you know, sources and double-checking the things. I I mean to me, it's absolutely logical. Really the opposite. The opposite spectrums of this conversation is boots on the ground versus support Um, every citizen of once you're a citizen of a nation.

That means your nation will do everything possible within the political and physical capabilities to retrieve hostages of your State uh Israel of course should be in the lead of any hostage rescue operation that does or does not happen. but you can guarantee because of the and I've heard different numbers of US citizens that would include the so not Boot ground versus support intelligence support um, physical support both in equipment and operators in my sense. I I don't I think it's staying as gray as possible as needed. Any country would to include the US but I don't think it's too far of a stretch and I'm really trying.

I Did an interview just a couple minutes ago trying to to balance that line of reasonable expected what you'll never know about, what we'll never know about. but I that is not an off the table. um especially with that statement that us not you know uniformed personel. but US forces would be used if you're joining right now.

Uh, we're just waiting for Biden to take the stage. He was supposed to take the stage 27 minutes ago. He's always late. always always always late.

Yeah I'm just ever made on this situation is going to unfold like and what the IDF is going to be encountering along with what the Hamas um side May well do in terms of you know responses. the drones thing that I think it was you or or maybe it was someone else mentioned that the other day um about about the role of drones in this which I think is going to make it very different to like 2006 it was me. oh it was you.

It's not to be uh, genocidal, but it's also Al I think important and I think important for everybody in the region.

maybe who's unfamiliar with Israeli culture to understand that declaring war upside 43 in 50 years you didn't in 2014. you haven't done it in any other inion. I hear people commenting or making commentary that reflects behavior of Israelis in the past like incursions and and I I just think it's important to understand like that we should be discussing this in the in the terms of a proper War rather than you know I think that's a good point no I think that's a fair observation. Um, you know this is a very different situation to what we've seen in the past several years.

Um, you know. As as I said before, and as I think we've discussed here, Sarah you may well have been part of that conversation. You know Hamas took quite a lot of inspiration I think from Holo in 2006, particularly John I think you might have mentioned that as well and Patrick and and they you know they' they've become more a more potent force, not still on the level of he. I I Think it's really hard unless any who follows this all the time with which I'm not.

Um, at least you know Islamic Military um factions? Um, but Hezbollah seems a bit more formal in the way it conducts itself. You know, when it releases information whil. Tamas doesn't really seem like a very consistently updating what they're doing, what they plan to do. Over all of these incursions, there has been T between the military and the government, the military has wanted to. Everything got hit right at time. They've gone back in in and the government has said no, you need to pull back We need to stop. We're going to do a ceasefire.

Sarah's breaking up as well I'm going try To give it like 10 more minutes I suppose try again and then we have to drop because I don't I'll try one more time I don't know why I get so frustrated but what the the point in having a time? Okay I'm just gonna talk if if it doesn't work I'll try later that there from a military perspective. every time there has been an incursion, there has also been tension between the military and the government where the military has wanted to basically retake Gaza or somehow reach an endgame and the government has pulled them back and said no, um, we need a negotiated solution I'm not even sure, but it's kept the status quo. So I think that the fact that that tension no longer exists that the military has cart Blane we're really going to see an absolutely different game plan that cannot be compared not to anything because from what I hear from soldiers from Miss Aviv from my environment is Gaza will be raised I if if if Hamas gives themselves up, the people of Aza will be fine.

If Hamas takes it to the end, it goes to the end. So so Sarah with with your observation and the distinction that you've drawn that this is wartime and the response should be commiserate and nonrepresentative of past response, what then would you say to maybe an opposing point of view that considered the asymmetric total of deaths both uh, civilian and otherwise that have happened in the past and then the respon need diaper change in terms of death total. j How do you think that that works toward peace? With the opposing point of view, it doesn't. The opposing point of view is destroyed and there is a winner and there is a loser.

And whatever dialogue we all had in the past that we expected of Israel This asymmetric War I think Israel views itself as having withhold withheld much of its strength, most of its strength and made the efforts. and I'm not saying they were good or bad efforts and I'm not putting judgment on it. and I'm not saying what they're doing now is good or bad. but I'm saying that yes, it's asymmetric and so Israel will win and that's the only point of view that people really behavoral.

Uh, the IDF has published some interesting footage between Battalion and four. Um Palestinian Fighters near the Zikim Beach. Earlier today, the gunman were tracked by the Magelan unit and the 52nd armor Battalion that comes from the Times of Israel reporter. Uh.

and then the Israeli Army's home front asked the residents of the town of Um tler on the border with Lebanon to leave. so there is quite a lot of activity. Oh, actually I'll read this one just because it's US Embassy uh in beut US Citizens throughout the region throughout the region should continue to take caution and avoid travel to the Lebanon Israel borders. so the US isn't telling people to leave Lebanon completely.

But to avoid Sun Lebanon we recommend his US citizens enroll in the uh Smart Traveler Enr enrollment program or Step to Receive alert. Hamas capabilities will do what the IDF will do The geopolitical aspects nobody is saying and I think it's unreasonable even historically to say because of this situation because of the declaration of war war that Israel will not follow in the execution of a ground assault. the law of war and will will turn will raise the ground like all those things aren't helpful. and actually there's nothing that will says that that that is the prediction that it will be a dredged in you know style attack on Gaza I I Strongly believe that is not the case and there's no prediction of that both past, present or future in the approach.

But the point I was making is that the IDF has hit a few compounds Hamas thought were protected and they're not and they're And not only were they hit, they were also hit with a relatively low death though.
