The results are in and yes, the money printer goes burr. This fomc meeting day did not disappoint crazy craziness across the market, and if you haven't seen the markets, you might be pleasantly surprised because there is quite a bit of green guess. The fed's fomc meeting today concluded at 2 pm and, as you can see, right around two everything just started ripping at first. There was a little bit of hesitation, but when the momentum started to get going, it was obviously very very bullish. The spy up over three percent, the nasdaq worth 3.5 percent, the small cap sector, the russell up - 2.7 bitcoin, ripping it even got above 40, 000 and volatility - uv xy, vixx vxx, all of it getting absolutely decimated. Things are bullish.

Now, if you want to know what really happened, well, the fed concluding its second day of the fomc meeting, the federal open market committee and they decided what everyone knew they were going to was that the interest rate increase was point five percent. So in total now we already had a point: two five percent. Now we have a point, five percent, so in total we're at point seven five and it looks like the next coming meetings, most likely all the way up into september. It's gon na be a point.

Five percent interest rate increase now that's good to know, but that wasn't really the juicy thing that everyone was looking for. Everyone wanted to know about balance sheet, runoff balance sheet normalization. If you don't know what that means, it's basically just undoing what the fed did during the rhona area. Basically, they were putting a lot of money into the economy.

Now they need to take it out, we're going from quantitative easing qe to quantitative tightening qt to undo the nine trillion dollars that they put into the economy. Well. Well, we're gon na get rockin on june 1st, so there's two different assets: they're looking at treasury securities and then also mortgage-backed securities. So for the first three months june july august they will be doing 30 billion dollars of treasury securities and then 17.5 billion of mortgage-backed securities and also agency debt june july august will be coming in at 97.5 billion per month in terms of quantitative tightening.

Then, after that, they're going to ramp it up to 60 billion of treasuries and 35. So by the time we get to september, it's going to be 95 billion per month and they're going to be doing this and the big hopes is a soft landing. So that's the factual information of how today played out your final question might be like. Why is it all ripping? Why was this just so so bullish? The answer to that is really because it was just not as hawkish as it could have been in terms of monetary policy.

It was a leaning, a little bit more dovish, and it was more of this concept that it's always being continually told to us that no, we are not behind the curve. We do have this under control and we're confident in our ability to do a soft landing. Now i'll leave it up to you if you believe it or not, because even today, daddy powell was saying that he's like hey our perception. We believe that the public trusts in us and i was live streaming it and the chat had a very different opinion of it, and this is the same entity that was telling us.

I think, given enough time this pump that we're seeing in front of us right now is actually going to come back down in terms of the overall market. I think the economy is still on thin ice, but in the short term, the right things were said that needed to to restore short-term confidence, and that's exactly why we're seeing things pop to the high heavens.
