Foreign. I've been on a very strict diet lately. Here's what: I do I get up crack of dawn and I give myself a healthy double dose of pre-workout akin to Vin Diesel driving to the gym with my heart rate and blood pressure through the roof. Meal number two is just getting my pump on at the gym.
Thank you. Meal number three is just a protein shake and enough creatine to choke not just a horse, but I'm talking in Clydesdale Meal number four: cappuccino but my next meal. What's important for all of you? Reese's Puffs And that's actually the biggest change to my diet lately and it's probably why I look like a Greek God as I'm waiting to cook dinner I'm just like shoving my face full of Triscuits and beef jerky. Now we're on to meal six sometimes.
I have like frozen dark chocolate Reese's Cups that's important that they're frozen and they're also dark chocolate. Everyone in this stream should know that dark chocolate is better than milk chocolate. Then, while I'm like cooking eating dinner, that's probably when we're already about like bottle one or bottle two into sangria. Honestly, all these like Fitness influencers do you know how much money they would charge you for that nutrition plan? I Just gave that out for free.
Foreign. We're gonna be on one today. Good morning, Good morning, good morning. This is the Matt Core show.
Dumb money, Live show, whatever you want to call it I Don't really care but it is Thursday February 9th and we're going to be on one today. Obviously we're going to be on one I'm already many cups of espresso deep I'm excited I'm excited sorry I'm late to work today I Got caught up milking my almonds for my espresso and they like they ex the almonds, the little almond cows they they escape their pen and I had to round them all up and honestly, the life of an almond farmer slash milker, it's a tough one. It's not an easy one, it's an honest day's work and I'm proud I Do it. But there's certain days that when I have to get up at three in the morning and Shepherd all the almonds into their milking pen just to get done what I need to get done.
It makes me wonder. It makes me wonder if there's something else better going on in life. So my apologies, um I don't mean to come off with an excuse I just want to let you guys know what's going on and I don't want to really say I'm sorry because I read in some sort of psychology book you shouldn't say that. you should say thank you for your patience I I Appreciate everyone's patience while I was getting done with my early almond milking.
So thank you thank you thank you thank you. but let's get ready for it. Let's get ready for today. Yesterday was a little bit of a wild day I Think most of our day really ended up getting consumed by listening to the Congressional panel with the Twitter execs and basically all of them seemingly lying about what the hell is going on and also our Congress members saying wide things.
wild things such as whining about getting Shadow banned or straight up banned or blocked when they said crazy things. we're not knowing what Jira is whatsoever, thinking it's a messaging platform when it's not. It's like a task assignment priority uh, type of platform for Tech Uh, very very strange stuff going on, but that was most of our day yesterday and today. Who knows who knows what's going to go on. Honestly, that's most of the fun part of content creation is, especially when you're streaming. you never know what's gonna happen today. we did get some job numbers this morning. I'm sure there's going to be more fed commentary today.
Well actually it's already started. We're seeing some things Rip to the High Heavens already have you guys seen Tesla this morning Elon Musk is laughing his way all the way back up to being the world's richest man Tesla Is continuing to rip Rip Rip right now. It's at 207, which means it's officially up over a hundred percent in just a couple of weeks. Rippity skippity doo-dah So Tesla or excuse me Elon A devout about to reclaim his title as I I Know it's not people who are like I know there's richer people in the world, but we're just talking about the people who their finances are publicly reported.
We're not talking about the oligarchs in Russia. We're not talking about the super like old secret families in Europe such as the Rothschilds We're not talking about that secret oil money. None of those are publicly reported. So unless you're in that family, you don't really know how much money you have.
And honestly, even if you're in that family I'm not sure you know how much money you have like, let's be honest about it. So in terms of people who their finances are publicly tracked just through their Equity Holdings and whatnot, it looks like Elon Elon's gonna pass me I Doubt that it's always a race to number two. but folks I want to say thank you I Want to say thank you I want to say thank you I want to say thank you Recently, we've been talking about certain content creation milestones For example: one: Milestone that is on the horizon. It's a little far off, but yet we can still see it's hitting 69 420 subscribers on Rumble it's in our sites.
We just passed 62 000 so we're gonna get there probably in March I would accept I Would expect that we're going to hit that goal in March but unbeknownst to me, starting about a week ago, a video that I posted that I had no idea was going to do anything ended up taking off I'm telling you it was sitting there for 65 70 days doing nothing. It had maybe 15 000 views, maybe 20 000 views. I posted it in November and it was more of just at that point I had been streaming a lot and I didn't want to really lose the practice of filming videos because it is a little bit different when I'm doing a live stream with you I know I have no opportunity to rewind even if I say a stupid thing that I wish I could backpedal on. there's no ability to rewind I gotta let it rip and if I say something I know you guys roast me and chat and I try to get past it and I try to keep my tears in my tear ducts. Um, but when I'm filming when I'm not live, it's a little bit different. It's a little bit of a different vibe and I that's definitely part of like this content creation thing that I work on Sony who uh to I don't really want to bore you with the details but I was filming a video in November just for practice I Found this interesting article on Forbes the top five richest families in the world and I was like oh, that's an interesting one and I heard the murmurs and the Grapevine that YouTube was going to try to be more competitive with Tick Tock and really put an emphasis on shorts I was like okay I have a cool article that relates to finance and I think I can make it a good piece of short content. If you don't know what short content is, it's a video that is one minute or less. That's why it's called a short because it's kind of short.
So any hoosil I made that video and it did. Nothing Did nothing, did nothing did nothing until about a week ago. We're out of nowhere. it started to explode and I was talking to my producer slash my I guess thumbnail artist slash my intro artist slash my One Singular employee slash my therapist.
He's like hey dude, do you see that this video is getting more views I was like oh that's cool. it would be awesome if it could cross a hundred thousand and then all of a sudden it easily crossed I was like dude, it could hit half a million and he had visions of grandeur in his mind. He's like dude, this might be our first million view video I was like whoa Tonto Let's put not put that card in front of the Horse Let's just be stoked if it hits 500k and then it ripped the face off of 500k and then it came all the way up to 750k and it just beat the absolute bejesus out of it. and then officially as of this morning as of like I don't know 7 30 this morning.
three years of content creation later I Finally have my first video with a million views. So it's always fun and I just wanted to say thank you and does it mean too too much financially? No. I think I made 40 bucks from the video In fact I could look it up right now I could find the exact I can tell you my best video ever has officially hang on I'm trying to load up the most recent numbers on it. Uh my best video Ever! Top Five Richest Families.
Um has now officially gained me. Oh wow. Oh folks, check this out. Check this out right here.
Your boy. Rich, Rich. A million views later. In fact, actually now this morning we got another four thousand.
Uh, officially made me 46 dollars. So do you think Elon Musk is ever going to catch me in terms of the public rankings of the world's richest person? Probably not. Probably not. but 46 dollars I I just it's that moment of knowing you financially made it that I think is the craziest thing going on in my mind right now. um I I truly think it is the craziest thing in my mind right here I Want to show you the proof 46.43 over a million views My best video ever. And for those of you who are like what's it like knowing that you made it especially like financially and it's just knowing that I'm set. it's knowing that my family set my future Generations are set. I'll be able to buy homes I'll be able to pay for College medical issues no longer a problem I'll be able to financially afford that.
my great great grandchildren are they gonna have up teeth and need braces? No worries. I got it. The biggest thing is like I I did this for three years. Three well, just under three years.
we're I think at like 34 months I started it. my channel was made in March of 2020. three years later. when you just grind it out, grind it out, grind it out and now you know that your family is just set like that's the coolest thing.
Um, and I Just wanted to say thank you because all of you guys definitely helped me get to this particular point that my life has been changed. absolutely changed. and I don't know? Um, obviously a little later on this week. maybe next week something like that.
I'll have to take a couple days off because um, now me and my Army of supermodel hot, completely real girlfriends, not just one. it's a gaggle of them we're going to be shopping for Mansions over in Greece we actually have a couple Yachts to look at and a couple Mansions most likely I'll just buy them all I'll probably just pick up every single one of them. so I'm gonna have to take a couple days off in the near future. but um, well.
and maybe I'll document it. Maybe I'll do a vlog style type of a thing and just kind of show you like. this is Mansion number eight that I'm buying. Uh, we're gonna be looking at a couple cars.
uh, obviously super cars. um some old collector items. the Ferraris uh so we got our eyes on a couple of those, but it's just it's a new life and I want to bring all of you on the journey with me into the world of the elite. What is it like like finally I am going to be kind of your foot into the door of the World Elite The wealthy, The Rainmakers.
Basically I'll be able to be pay for my ticket into the Illuminati now and I want to film that whole thing and bring you guys with me. So thank you thank you thank you I appreciate it Goonies It's always fun to hit a goal like this first million video and your boys made it 50 or 50 under 50. Matt The money has changed you. It has man, it has.
It is basically I have unlimited money. At this point, unlimited money. It has changed me. I'm the first to admit it.
So now let's start looking at all the the companies that I could probably buy and whatnot. Let's start talking about Google Tesla and all those and maybe I'll buy them. Maybe I'll buy them out. especially if the video keeps getting a couple more reviews. I'll buy them all. It's not going to be the S P 500 anymore. It's going to be the Coors 500. it's not going to be the NASDAQ 100.
It's going to be the Mk-100 It's not going to be the Russell 2000. It's going to be goonie. Galore 18 billion I'm gonna rename all these. So basically I'm retired.
Yeah, uh, this is what life is like post retirement retiring at the age of 28. I Wish I had a financial advisor that could explain to me of how I should invest this so I could live off it for the rest of my life. But one of these days, one of these days we'll figure it all out. All right, no more messing around.
This is a serious show for serious people. Dow Futures jumped 200 points Disney shares pop after strong earnings I Don't know if you guys saw it, but Disney crushed him and actually they're laying some people off. So we're in that weird situation where the world's really liking the fact that people are getting laid off. but anyway Disney up 6.6 MGM for all my degenerate gamblers out there also doing well up 6.2 percent if you lost any money to MGM recently which I know I have playing poker with them uh, that's up 6.2 percent.
So MGM crushing it and Tesla didn't have earnings but it's still ripping the face off of people up 3.3 after gaining 2.3 officially back over 200 trading at 208. Which means that this thing has ripped to the High Heavens in the past three weeks, it's officially doubled up Tesla Which this isn't just like a normal crappy penny stock that doubled up. its market cap is now 637 billion. So it gained 300 billion dollars worth of value in a couple weeks.
That is crazy. It's crazy when a penny stock does it. But you have to understand like what this is A hundred percent gain for something like Tesla is far different than 100 gain for something like uh, I mean AMC a far smaller company or people are talking about Mullen or anything like that. You have to understand like if you go from one to two billion, that's great, you're still making a billion.
This thing gained 300 billion dollars worth of value. 300 billion dollars worth of value. More than that, it's absolutely crazy. So of course we're going to be watching that today.
Overall, the Spy is up four dollars from where it closed, but we're still within the movement on Tuesday the 7th. So uh, obviously we're not above that high. We're not below that low, so it's still. we had an inside bar we see right here.
How let me zoom in just to explain this a little bit better. The high is lower than the previous High the lowest higher than the previous low that's referred to as an inside bar. And what that just means is it's a non-trend day. It means the the Bulls aren't winning.
the Bears aren't winning. It means the people who sold options are winning. The people who bet on premium burn are winning. Um, but right now we're just waiting. I Mean we might get some sort of movement if we get above 4 14 53 Let's wait for open. but more so I'm waiting for breakout of 4 16.50 Or on the flip side, maybe the Bears are going to end up winning if we go below 410. But really I wouldn't give them any uh Victory laps until we go below 407.60 So inside bar, we're just waiting. We're waiting.
We're waiting right now. The Market's doing pretty good because did Disney crushed it we had MGM Pepsi reported this morning. We'll be getting into that. but overall I just want to let you know where things currently stand.
The Dow the S P and the NASDAQ are all green green oil taking a little bit of a breather. But we had a nice six point rally in. well, six dollars per barrel of petroleum. So anyway went from 72 up to 78.
Taking a little bit of a breather, but not too bad. Five things to note before that: Bell goes ding ding ding ding today. Thursday February 9th This is the final day before I buy the entire stock market, so enjoy it while you can. But as soon as I can cash out that sweet sweet 46 dollars from the Google YouTube Overlords.
Uh, this is last day before I could check it out. So I'm gonna take that money and I'm gonna buy everything. So enjoy your final day of day trading. swing trading, investing, whatever it is, because after this it's all mine.
I'm buying every company the the whole Russell 3000 will be mine. so enjoy it while you can. It was a fun game. Disney Dominion We're going to be talking about that.
looking for a rebound? Not much of a rebound because the Market's still been ripping ripping ripping Calls for streaming the future? All right, we have more. Disney news to get into Bard's bad day. Super super awkward. super awkward for Google So we all know about Chachi BT from Openai which now Microsoft has a multi-billion dollar investment in.
Well, Google hit back and be like, well, we have even something cooler. We have an AI system named Bard and it got really awkward. So they were trying to show Bard off to the world and they asked it a question and it gave back the wrong answer. So Google got its teeth kicked in yesterday.
Um, a little bit of an overreaction. I Guess it slid seven percent during at most. Maybe it was around eight or the initial reaction was eight, but Bard it just gave off the wrong answer when they were trying to show it off and it was a super super awkward thing, especially for something like Google Like holy crap was that a mess up Southwest uh showdown at the Senate What's this about? Holiday Meltdown will neither buy an Administration is investigating the staff who oh of when all those flights were canceled Metals scary earnings uh Mattel excuse me they I guess got crushed but that's not a company really I see too many people chatting about so I'm assuming you guys don't care whatsoever Disney CEO Bob Iger The guy who was the CEO he left and then they just brought him back and a lot of people are just saying okay like they're just the other guy was JPEG and people didn't really like him. Apparently it was hard to work with. he's the guy who replaced Tiger but now Iger replaced him because they think he could do better because if you look at the stock price Disney was getting its teeth kicked in, but now it's doing a bit better. Disney CEO Bob Iger says he prefers to stay only two years calls streaming the future. Well we'll see if Disney ends up winning out I don't Disney in terms of streaming I'm trying to think of my own personal habits: I don't go to Disney plus that much I don't know about you guys but I feel there are certain Disney shows that like I care about and I want to pay attention to but that's not like my common daily streaming service and I would love to get your thoughts on it I know they're trying to get some sort of partnership going with Hulu I mean I think certain things like even YouTube TV kind of getting some of those NFL rights I think that's a big brain move even if you look at something like Rumble when they're getting rights to certain competitions like the slap fighting, it's gonna grow. and if they get more bigger rights to bigger events like I think it's smart but with Disney whenever there's basically a new Marvel thing that comes out I get excited I watch it.
but then I don't really commonly go back to it. Do I use ESPN yes and I know that's part of that, but I don't even I'm not streaming through ESPN I guess on YouTube TV sometimes I watch the ESPN channel. but in terms of the overall business, ESPN is not the biggest to them and also ESPN doesn't always own the rights to some of the biggest events. like for example, when who when you talk about some of the biggest sporting events really Fox ends up buying out the rights or ABC ends up buying out the rights so it's not like ESPN's owns all of them.
so I would have to look at the exact numbers of ESPN and I know that's obviously a positive asset. It's a good asset for Disney but I'm just talking about if we're talking about streaming, how often are you really on Disney Plus like I I just end up not going on it that often Disney To cut seven thousand jobs and slash 5.5 billion in cost as it unveils vast restructuring recently. Whenever you hear that people are getting let go of their job, this has been the going trend for the past six weeks. The Market's like sick and these companies end up going up.
I Mean seriously, over the past month and a half, Whenever a company says we're laying off X percentage, you can just expect the market to that particular Equity to go up within the market. Disney Said it would be reorganizing into three divisions: Entertainment ESPN and parks and Experiences Disney will slash 7 thousand jobs from its Workforce and plans to come 5.5 billion in costs including 3 billion in content savings CEO Bob Iger Said the company isn't considering a spin-off of ESPN I Think it's smart for them to keep it just because. Hey, Sports right? Can you explain threshold Securities Is it five days plus the first day of the company in the list or does or does fail to deliver? start the first day they're shown on the New York Stock Exchange listing. Uh, I don't quite. Is it? Hey and we have this question from Jorge Castillo Can you explain threshold Securities Okay, I could explain it I'm sorry I'm a little bit confused and I know you're like capped with your character limit there. so let me explain it. If you have, there's a threshold if you're over that threshold in the amount of FTD So it's um, a certain percentage or it's just actually a magnitude. But when you're over that threshold in terms of Ftds, like if your FTD count at the end of the day is above a certain threshold if that happens for five consecutive days.
So the market closed, the market closed Market Close Market Close Market Close Five consecutive market closes at the end of that day. If the FTD is above a certain threshold, you get put onto the threshold list. Um, so it has to have happened for five consecutive days. Uh, let me know if that clears it up.
Um, just because. Is it five plus the first day a company is in the list? No, it's just five consecutive days. So like the first day you're above the threshold, the second date, you're above the threshold. If you have five consecutive days above the threshold where you have too many Ftds, you get put onto the threshold Securities list.
But in reality doesn't matter. Not really because we've seen a lot of companies on that list for quite a while and nothing really seems to happen. I Mean we've seen them on for like 30, 40, 50 days and nothing really seems to play out from that. PepsiCo Earnings beat expectations as price hikes boost snacks and beverage sales, so most of these recently have been doing very, very well.
Obviously a couple of these earnings have been missing, but we saw Disney crush it Pepsi crush it MGM crush it teslie Tesla didn't have earnings, but it is also crushing it this morning. So right now there is some pre-market bullish enthusiasm and I don't want to be that Debbie Downer I Know a lot of people like you always want that hopium copium and we're going to hear go here to party but I just want to throw this out there of maybe I'm just always naturally a contrarian. but I feel like when everyone gets so bullish right away I'm like uh oh, they're gonna rug it and when everyone gets so bearish I'm like, okay, it's probably time to pop I'm a devout believer that the market screws over the most amount of people whenever it possibly can. So when I see people getting a little bit too much into the bull boat, I'm like, all right, that one's about to sink and when I see too many people getting into the bear boat I'm like, all right, that one's about to sing. So right now the sentiment is becoming very very very bullish like right every single day I Think there's more and more people in that grade category opposed to the fear category and that just sends off my Spidey senses. And it doesn't always pay to be a contrarian. it really doesn't But when I look at the recent movement from like roughly January 6th the Friday to now we've just been ripping ripping ripping I Think there's room for some sort of mean reversion trade I Think there's room for some sort of healthy pullback? Will that pullback lead to a further sell-off Well, most likely that's going to depend on what happens on the CPI reading this. upcoming Tuesday AKA Valentine's Day very well might end up being very well.
might end up being a bloody Valentine's Day So be prepared for that. Be prepared for what's going down early next week. Tuesday We get the next inflation report and I think that's going to be the one deciding. Is the current in consolidation going to be ripping to the upside or completely selling off to the downside.
I think it is all decided on Tuesday for the next major trend Manhattan Rents hit an all-time high in January Well, that's not good. The median rent Rose 15 to 4100 from the year earlier, the highest ever in January Not a good time for me to move here because I am paying a shitload for my office and my apartment and it is brutal. Um, not fun at all. So to anyone else in this area I I Feel it for you.
We should have some sort of meeting where we can emotionally support each other in terms of events. Uh, not much else going on. Today We got the initial jobless claims came in slightly. Uh, better than expected 196.
They were expecting 190. We get the Michigan numbers uh tomorrow 10 a.m and then we have more fed speakers also tomorrow Waller and Harker 12, 30 and 4 P.M Just so you know, earnings are still continuing. We got Pepsi they beat. after the market closes today we get PayPal and Lyft Uber absolutely Crush So I would expect Lyft to do the exact same thing unless something disastrous happens.
Uh, we get Honda tomorrow. but after this, there's still earnings next week. But we're pretty much done with earnings season for this time around. after this week, once again, still earnings next week.
but I just want to let kind of know like what's going on there. Uh, let me get out of that. let's get ready. let's get ready for the market open.
Let me drop all this to the one minute. Uh, let me do Tesla up here and let me do Disney down here. Uh, Tesla is just ripping I Kind of want to sell a call Credit spread against it just because it's been so rippity Dippity doo-dah thanks. Was just curious as it says they force closed positions after 7 to 13 days which was AMC today at 11 on the threshold list was confused. Yeah, so that's your 100 right? and that's what's publicly reported. But we've been here before and multiple times before on multiple different Securities and when we get to that day nothing ends up happening and we've seen things say on the threshold list for far too long. So technically it could be a new grouping of Ftds because those Ftds are allegedly forced to be fixed. But if you have new Ftds, the magnitude might stay the same so you could theoretically still stay on the threshold list.
That's just one possible explanation. but I Just want to let you know that I wouldn't personally be betting any Uh, I wouldn't be placing any short-term bets on that being resolved or not resolved because we've seen a very long continuation of just staying on it. Almost like it's running a freaking Marathon So I'd pay attention to it. but I just want everyone to know I still love my MC I still have my I still have my Gme but I just have my shares I don't have calls I don't have puts I'm not shorting it I just have my shares and I it's almost like set and forget and right now I view it as like a symbolic investment into this movement.
but I'm just sitting there I think right now A Lot of people are being uh, Hoodwinked Bamboozled tricked deceived into doing short-term plays and if you make money on it, I congratulate you. But I mean do you know how many people recently got sucked into buying calls because they thought it was going to rip to like 100 150 this week? and then AMC got absolutely slaughtered. And now those calls are probably worth nothing for me if you're playing those degenerate things I Wish you the best of luck I Want you to crush it I want you to make so much money. but I think at a certain point the odds of the situation might be overstated and people don't realize like how unlikely it is.
So with the odds, you just have to appreciate those so you make inappropriately sized bet. Ola I Met and chat the hymns ticker I mentioned yesterday is up 6.5 pre-market after Jeffrey's price upgrade. What resistance levels do I watch now holding a nine dollar call for 217 and then 10 and a an 11 for 3 17. uh Camille where's my pen I Want to write this down? so I don't with my pen.
Where's my pad? Oh no. could my life get any worse? Talk about going from high highs to low lows I become the world's wealthiest person and then this is a great example. Even when you're immensely wealthy, not everything is rainbows. Sometimes you just can't find you.
Uh, dignity. ding ding ding. The casino is open. Best of luck to all.
Play responsibly. If not have fun. We're gonna watch the market open for 10 to 15 minutes. This is it.
I Know I know as a trillionaire, you're never supposed to complain and everyone thinks your life is all sunshine and rainbows and all that good stuff. but I'm pennless I am I'm headless I don't know what to do? uh sorry Camille I'm just gonna commit your comment I I could open a notes page actually I could be realistic about this. but see, this is living proof that just because you're the world's richest person, doesn't mean everything goes your way. doesn't mean everything goes your way. All right. So you're looking at hymns. uh uh. nine? Call nine? Ugh crap nine.
you have a nine call for 217 and then you have uh a 10? 11? uh for 3 17. Uh, all right I have that on my notes page so we're not gonna lose it. His hair is on point. Thank you.
That's why I Feel like I should get sponsored by Hymns because they have the hair growth stuff. They have the anxiety stuff. they have the Ed stuff and I need all of that. my very anxious Ed leads to better hair growth.
Do you know how many jokes I could come up with if I was sponsored by an Ed company and this explosive bar is brought to you by I would crush it I would crush it I think I could Hawk they made Jake Gyllenhaal isn't a movie? Have any of you guys seen that rom-com with Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway where he is like a pharmaceutical rep and then he's like kind of like a Suave womanizer type of a dude and he ends up uh, he gets put on like Viagra like he's they create Viagra and then he's able to sell it and he like crushes it I think I could sell more than that I Honestly think to all of you in here to all of you in here oh my God we could We we could just have a Viagra taking competition every single day. Every every single Thursday is a Viagra taking competition Love and Other Drugs I think that's it Violet is bulletproof dude I watch so many rom-coms I love rom-coms because like it's a great way to unwind I trade all day I have to talk to billionaires and trillionaires and Saudi princes and this and that I have a highly stressful day. So then at the end of the day I just fire up a new rom-com uh or an old rom-com They really haven't been making many rom-coms lately. Love me a good rom-com.
Don't tempt me with a good time Devin Box I Already do. Serious question: Can you explain the difference between linear and long sharding? Which is better? Um, most people use linear but neither is better. It's just what are you trying to do? Um, but it's um here. I Mean they have a lot.
Let me show you. So for those of you who might not know what this is, this is linear. It's basic. Like okay, you go up.
It's basically an exponential scale. You could have it log. So if if you want to turn an exponential scale into a linear looking scale, you would look at the logarithmic chart. I Wouldn't say one's better or worse.
I would say it's just like a basic a different math of what you're trying to use as your scale. Most people use linear because logarithmic would really only be appropriate and in exponential growth scenario but not better or worse. It's just different math. Um, but most people would end up wanting to use linear. Log is exponential. Well yeah, log turns exponential into looking linear. You should change. Oh brother, oh stepbrother.
I think we have that one. um somewhere here I think my producer did that. Uh here. let me pull up the sound board.
Uh well. howdy Doodly Dandeli What the So I Want to clarify. uh are you kidding me? Well he who I heard a lot of people say I disagree with you? well have. there's no.
That's how you do it too. That's crazy. Oh my God. Oh Jesus so I want to clarify I just think it.
I I'm uh, interesting I think it's somewhere in here I just can't find it right now. But I think we have an O step brother. Um, it's somewhere in there. we'll track it down one of these days.
Oh I Wanted to sell Okay I wanted to place a trade I wanted to do a vertical I wanted to do I don't know if I'm gonna get the fill on this debit. Okay, we're gonna do a credit on Tesla Let's see if we get this fill. Let's see I don't know if it'll get a fell I I threw in an order to do a credit spread a call Credit spread on Tesla trying to sell the 235 and buy the 240 I Believe yeah, we'll see how that happens. It's going to eat up 400 of my capital I'll let you know if that fails.
uh or you might hear it if it fills I think I need Tesla to pop a little bit more so if it pushes to 209. I should be good I still have my one SPX put for not tomorrow but next Friday Um, obviously the Gap up this morning is rocking me. MGM is still crushing it. That's cool, you know what? I Also wanted to do what: I Wanted to do a spy.
A spy. A spy. A spy. a spy.
a spy. a spy. What is the Delta The Delta the Delta the Delta the Delta the Delta the Delta Why does it do it like this? I'm just trying to throw in some trades because we need to be selling more premium in here. We need to be selling a little bit more premium, a little bit more premium.
All right. I Need to sell. Oh dude. once again, the pen issue is coming back to haunt me.
Seriously, not cool. Whoever hit my pen? Not cool dude I Don't know. Tricky, tricky. Anywho, I'll just have to commit this all the memory of what I'm trying to do.
All right we are attempting to do. Oh that one. and then also dude, why are those so expensive? so expensive? Um, by classism? Do they make this such a pain in the ass? They really do. They really, really do here.
All right. I Need to sell the 428, Need to sell the 428 and I need to buy the 433 432. Let's see if this is going to get hit, Confirm, and send, send. All right I don't know I have a couple orders sitting here that I'm trying to get filled I'm trying to do a call Credit spread on the spy and a call Credit spread on Tesla as well. Uh, just because I think they're too overextended. To the upside, the premium is a little bit pump so I think it's advantageous. advantageous. What are my views on? Mullen Mullen Mullen Mullen Mullen Mullen Mullen Uh, looks like it's starting to get cracked.
It had a nice run but as soon as it came below 3920 I would be out I would have been out on Thursday the 7th. So I don't know why you're saying it's looking Fanta it's not. It's had four red days. Three down days to close is lower.
The clothes is lower. The clothes is lower. It broke important support. it has looks like it has a lower high now.
officially uh, it might be shooting to this Gap though as like a first Target but it could keep going from there. Um, it's not looking fantastic at all. uh Google I think this is I'm torn on Google I really am because I think it's an overreaction to the downside of just an eight percent drop. a seven percent drop from The Bard mess up I Do think that's an overreaction, but on the flip side I Also think the NASDAQ is overextended and is due for a pullback which like isn't the best for Google So right now I don't know.
like I think the way to play this is when the NASDAQ starts to bounce. I would actually want to get into Google first because I think it has an extreme overreaction to the downside. So I think it has, uh, less risk if you're trying to go long on it. But first I would want the cues to get hit a bit and maybe like bottom out around 290 292 when it starts to bounce.
you could play this. but as a caveat, go long on Google because in my opinion, this is a bit of like an emotional overreaction. There's also a downside gaffle on Google to 9440. Uber Uber did well with its earnings I wouldn't play that now if anything I'd be looking at Lyft after the market closes today because they're very similar businesses and if Uber's doing well, I don't see how a lift wouldn't also be doing well.
So unless like barring any crazy development, um, what I would do on Lyft I'm not the biggest earnings player I would actually sell a put credit spread I Mean you could probably sell a 1550 put credit spread or something like that and collect that premium. Oh, the Spy is getting murked. Why are none of my orders getting filled I don't understand monitor tools charts. did I just enter them incorrectly I have my order sitting there for Tesla and I have my order sitting there for the spa High Is it just because neither of them pop this morning? All right? I'm just gonna wait and see if I get my fill.
but once again, I'm attempting to sell a caulk spread and I'm attempting to sell a call spread on both the spy and Tesla Uh, time for the Spy to die. I Think it does get rocked I Would love a little bit of a pop first, but whatever it may be it may be. can I look at L-u-m-n-l-u-m-n I think that's Lumen right? Lumen Technologies Oh got crushed. like are you looking at this to buy I wouldn't buy that. It looks horrific. This thing just got its face kicked in. It's dead. It looks like it's dying this.
I wouldn't short it because it's down too much and I Want to go long because it looks like a company I just wouldn't touch it I Think you missed your opportunity and do you need a hundred shares of stock to sell shares? I Think you mean to sell calls but that's why I'm doing a call spread. So I'm simultaneously selling a call and buying a farther out, a higher up expiration or higher up strike price call. Um, that's it's. also refer if you could sell one call against every 100 shares you own of whatever underlying security but it's also known as a poor man's covered call of.
if you don't have that, you can synthetically represent it by also owning a different call because that is I guess the exposure technically to a hundred shares. So what you could do is you could sell one call at whatever strike price at whatever expiration date and then on the same expiration date, you could buy a different call that is higher up in terms of strike. So if you sold the 100, you could buy the one at 105 for the same expiration and it would allow you to do it. It's synthetically representing that you are long that security by owning that call, are you still long? Mullen I've never been long Mullen Thoughts on Carvana I didn't I think it, you're late to it it Consolidated Popped came down maybe fighting I mean there's an interesting argument to go long at 1380 risking 12.
if you, uh, you're a little late today. the entry was yesterday, but when I just look at its chart I think it's just a ticking. Time Bomb This thing ripped sold Ever since 2021, all this thing has done is sell off I Think it's a matter of time before this comes down. Essentially like same thing with Gns, it can totally move, but it's just a matter of time before it gets murked like these.
These aren't good, fundamentally performing companies. It's just a slow death. Did you see the post where Chat Jbt said the market will crash on February 15th? No. Is that the day after? Well, how could it do that? Because Chat TPT doesn't make Market predictions.
And also it doesn't have an up-to-date data set. so how could it possibly do that? Being long doesn't just mean you think it is going to go up in price. It means that you are going to hold a long-term investment. Uh, that's not how I understand that being long means you bought something and being short means you sold something.
so you could be long on puts. Which means you bought puts. Uh long means you bought to open the position. Short means you sold to open the position.
so you could be long on calls you could be long on Tesla you could be log on Tesla puts. It just means you bought to open. Uh, short means you sold to open. So it's the difference between um, buying to create a position or selling to create a position. That's the difference between going long and going short. So it doesn't necessarily like you could go short on calls to create a position. Long just means you bought to create. uh.
short means you sold to create. Uh, and then you're talking about long-term investing, which most of the time is just. it just means you invested and you're going to be in it for the long haul. So I know sometimes like the nuances of some of the words that are thrown around.
um, a lot of overlap. Sometimes we use words interchangeably when we shouldn't. But if you look at like the actual definition of this stuff, long means bought to open. Short means sold to open Matt Can't hear you when you are reading the questions.
I Don't know. Bummer. Dude, long on Puts means you think it's going down long and calls me and you think it's going up short On Puts means you think it's going up or going sideways because if you're short on any premium if it's Puts or calls, you could also win if it just trades sideways. Did you ever figure out far? Cape No, The investigation is still ongoing.
it's still ongoing. Tesla Take it close, take a close look at Maria Osman Commercials Uh Matt What are the Spy strikes again roughneck I Haven't got my fill yet. but I was looking at 428 spread by like 432 or 433 or something like that. Uh, but I Just want you to know I haven't got my fill.
if I do get my fill, I'll let you know you could also be short on the market by buying puts you can be long and Tesla or short Tesla Yeah so if your long Tesla to short Tesla if you're not talking about options generally just means did you buy stock or did you short stock but you can be net short against the company as embedding against it by being long puts and like I know that's getting like kind of crazy there but you could be net short or net long by doing the opposite in the world of options. So and by opposite you would be net short Tesla to be long on Tesla puts if that makes sense. um and it is just confusing word play and the longer you're around it you'll pick it up and like your brain will kind of map it out of what it means. it's a pain in the ass and I know it sounds like I'm speaking a foreign language to you but when you're around it, don't let that like I guess worry you if you're like what the is this dude saying that's crazy like Scooby that wasn't we'd don't have one of those reactions, it's just it's it seems foreign just because our education system, especially in the US never teaches Finance But if you're around it for a little bit, there's a steep learning curve, but by that time you get on the top of it, you're like, okay, cool.
I Got this stuff. Foreign likes crack? No, we can't do that man. Uh, we're just waiting for the market to open. Um I'm looking for a swing trade in the options Market by going short on premium I'm looking to sell premium and I'm waiting for 10 a.m to do any of my day trades. Uh, what expiration I was looking 22 days out I'm looking at the March 3rd expiration. Uh, so just kind of waiting to see how this one goes Market change I don't know why I'm not getting my fill on this one. Hey, something happened. did you guys hear that? Sold one vertical.
Okay so I sold a vertical. so I sold spy premium. Uh, it looks like it's 24 days till expiration. So March 3rd I sold the 428 and I bought the 432 I got in at 1.94 and a dollar fourteen respectively.
Which means that the net difference is 80 cents. which means as long as we're below 428 as of March 3rd your boy's gonna make eighty dollars and I risked. uh I was risking 400 on it. Um, so not the best spread that's about 20.
I wish it was a little bit higher. Uh, but what? I'll do so the maximum gain I can make on this is eighty dollars. The maximum risk on this is 400. as soon as I get 40 of those dollars back I'm gonna close the position as soon as I get 50 of my Max total gain I'm gonna close the position, take my forty dollars, say thank you, and move on to the next thing.
Uh, and I just got my phone and I should be getting my fill on Tesla pretty shortly as well. Uh I like it I like it I'm actually really happy with this trade. Um, if you guys I'll put this in locals uh uh so Macquares.locals.com it's pinned there. but uh, just so you guys know just so you go, no, no, no, no no no no I'll make sure to update it all right.
we don't need that for now. Okie Doke! Now, before we get into some of our day trading here, which we'll be starting in a couple of minutes. Any other questions I have both chats open I'm just waiting to do any of my day trades. Um, if you guys want to know, the market internals are looking actually pretty bullish this morning.
Whoa. Actually way more bullish than I thought they would. Wow. Okay, interesting.
Yeah, no. the market internals pretty freaking bullish. Holy maybe I should have done what I just did I didn't realize they were that bullish. Okay, doke, Okie Doke! We all make mistakes.
Remember it's only a real mistake if you don't learn from it I guess or whatever they say or you know, whatever they say. Well, while we're waiting, um, any questions do you? Why don't you use second charts? Because the smaller the time frame, the more Randomness involved. And by the time you're down to a second chart unless you're like a high frequency Trader You're just gonna get whipped. Do you look at Spider Trade Futures Why not look at features? No I look at both like I was looking at Spy to Trade spy premium.
But when I'm trading the Futures Market I look at the Futures Market I mean and they move the exact same Like there's not going to be much of a differential between the two. This is the Spy right here and I'll switch over to the futures. see how it's like exactly the same. The the difference is just the price. but if you're looking at the movement and the structure of it, see how these are literally exactly the same. The beauty of Arbitrage If it ever gets a little bit out of line, the obituaries I don't think that's their real name. They like to step in. they like to step in.
How's AMC doing today? Getting crushed? Oh wow. Apes a little green Apes trying to hold on. If ape can stay above 260 it could be looking good, but uh AMC got its Gap filled not bouncing off of it. Maybe it can find a little bit of support between five and five forty, but there's just too many people that are trying to like pump opium and copium into your veins Until you get those calls.
Buy it. I'm so sure it's gonna rip because of Fibonacci Dude, those people don't even know how to spell Fibonacci and they're thinking that they've like figured out the super secrets of the market. Uh, my 2023 goal was to still sell short-term credit spreads I Look To sell with the Delta around 0.1 and then just buy the next strike up I'm up over 50 405.91 Um, one three Joe Uh, congratulations. My only recommendation to you on that is I think you can get yourself more money I think Delta of 0.1 is a little too far out.
Um, this is by no means my research so I can't take credit to it, but the very impressive team over at Tastytrade, Tastyworks, whatever you want to call them. They've done a lot of research over the past two decades that actually suggest like going closer to the point. Two, Delta has a better P L positive effect so you might want to come a little bit closer to at the money and collect more. Um, just want to throw that out there to you.
They also recommend closer to like 30 to 45 days out and then at 21 you rebalance and blah blah blah. But they've done some hardcore research on it. and I think you might be able to capture a little bit more money by bringing it closer to at the money. Maybe Maybe they like to focus on the 16? Delta you're looking at the 10 Delta so maybe try try the like.
Maybe bring it up a little bit, Maybe focus on the 15? Delta maybe focus on the 20 Delta instead of the 10. Uh one Delta is my training wheels once. I get more comfortable I Want to go to point two? Okay, awesome. Well what you could do is as you're doing point one, like on a piece of paper, an Excel sheet or whatever track What would have happened with that trade if you did point to like.
So track it somewhere just so you have like the actual data set. like so the exact moment you're doing the point one, write down somewhere what the 0.2 would have done and then obviously when it comes to expiration or anything, you can go and backtrack and be like okay, would it have worked? Would it not have worked that type of a thing? think of Delta as percentage chance the virus appointed to. Yeah. So your Delta is basically your chance of in the money. Uh, 95 in the money. Options make you more consistent money 0.5 Delta Delta minimum 95 You're talking about buying though. he's talking about selling premium. When you're selling premium, you're really ballsy if you're selling in the money premium like you have a set of cohons on you.
If you're selling in the money premium and you could do it like hey, I'm not your mom but he Joe is talking about selling premium, not buying premium. oh how long are your expiration in the market I've been messing around with various different things. The one I just placed is 24 days and like I said, once it gets to over 50 I'm going to be taking it. um I'm gonna be definitely taking it I mean I I Still didn't get my fill on test actually I could show you guys this right here.
Can you guys see this all right? Here's what I did the Tesla trade didn't get filled but this one did the Spy did. um it looks like it's 24 days out I sold the 28 I bought the 32. the differential is uh 0.8 which means the max I could make for this one trade is eighty dollars and right now I'm up six. So as soon as I see this over 40, over 50, whatever I'm going to take my money and I'm going to move on to the next one.
Um, if it happens today, that's awesome. I'm in no way expecting it to happen today, but if it does cool, that's just management and then I move on to the next one. Um, there's no point in my opinion of taking on the tail risk. The only time you would really want to take on the tail risk is if your commissions are ass.
um trade right here. this is think or Swim they actually don't have the best commissions from my recent research. The best commissions if you're trying to just be a basic premium seller is surprise surprise tasty. I have have an account with them I'm just trying to get it funded right now and I had some leftover money in this account as I'm working on more of I've been selling premium for a bit but I'm trying to think of the best way to articulate it and explain it to all of you.
So as I've been trying to work that out of where I could have like systematic entries and exits that I can best Express to all of you in a digestible form I've just been messing around with smaller positions like this where my Max risk is 400, my Max return is 80 and the chance of me making money on this play is like 80 percent. So like eighty dollars, eighty percent chance and you're risking 400. um, if I get more than 50 I could close it and why take on that tail risk? uh I have another one sitting here for Tesla a 235 by 240 also for the same date but it didn't get a fill. so that position's not live yet just so you know.
Just so you know, uh, it should be getting a fill very soon though. What the? Why did I not get a fill? I don't understand why this one didn't fail Market change mark Yeah I Don't know what I did oopsie daisies I don't know I don't know why it's not good. it's like I mean Tesla's moving I think it's like very I I just don't know why I'm not getting my own Phil is 0.6 Delta Oh did I just get it? Did you guys hear it? Okay, it gotta fill. Uh here. let me show you this again. Uh so basically what happened here is: I sold the 235 I bought the 240. uh, you could see the trade price. the differential is a dollar I'm risking 500 to make a hundred and the chance of me making money on this play is once again 80 percent.
So uh, I got my two fills. Uh I have time they expire 24 days out we're talking March 3rd same scenario as soon as I make over 50 percent. Uh I might be targeting a little bit more because the commissions on thinkorswim they're not bad, but they're not the best God damn what is in my throat I Need like a halls or something but finally got that fill I'll make sure to post that on locals, but these are when people. okay, you could degenerately go long on calls.
go long on. Put short expiration zero DTE one DTE 2dte out of the money and if you get it right, you can make big money, but the odds are stacked against you. or you could stack the odds in your favor And make a little bit of money a lot of the time. So this is just classic premium selling.
It is weekly monthly income strategies that I think should also be a part of your portfolio. I'm not saying you should do it all the time, but to me I think you should have a long-term investment account I think you should have a dividend account I think you should be selling some premium and then like leave over some of that fun money for like your idea on directional trades. um I'm even. and that's basically what I'm doing with like the systematic.
Well, that's even a little bit more different. I'm of the opinion that everyone should have a system training as well and that's what I do on the Futures Market Um, but I've talked about this a lot in terms of trying to teach it and be a little bit more didactic. but I want to show it to you now with my actual money and like tell you what's going on here. so um I just have two call Credit spreads decent time out and I'm just gonna wait and see how they play out.
but uh, you have well-defined risk, you have well-defined reward, and you have well-defined odds for the situation. Uh, which is uh, I find that once you get over the learning curve of it all, it's much more digestible. and when I talk about what the learning curve is what I'm saying Okay, like the terminology is probably confusing you. probably what the does that mean? What does this mean I haven't heard what are you talking about like a vertical.
you're selling a call. You're buying a call. How can you do that? I Thought you had to have a lot of shares I thought you had to have a lot of like a big account. The two trades I just did. All you had to do in your account was less than a thousand. So like I get it? the learning curve is there and I don't want you to feel as if you're like as if this isn't for you and you're confused and you're like what the no like, Stick around. I'm here to answer all of your questions, whatever your questions are, I will do my best to answer it for you. Um, but for those of you who are a little bit more informed about this, I mean Tesla's IV is juice right now so it's advantageous to be selling premium spies IV isn't that Juiced I just I don't know I See that Coral icon is like doing his public rounds saying about how the Market's gonna get crushed.
so I think he might scare the market to the downside and I could have an easy trade. Dude? how are you so smart I'm not. Trust me. Go search my name on Twitter and you're going to find a lot of people telling you how I am So okay.
Actual question: are we allowed to say that word Now growing up on the wood chip covered recessed grounds of northeast PA where I was we said that all the time and then as I got into high school as I got into college, it became a word you couldn't say. but now it feels like it's coming back in and I'm really confused. so I don't want to say it like I'm I'm legitimately asking, is it coming back into our culture that you can say the r word Nope, that's been canceled I agree, it was canceled At one point in our life we were all saying it, we were slinging it the whole time and then all of a sudden we weren't allowed to say it and the culture is like no, no, that's a bad word, it's offensive, but now now I'm hearing it a lot more. I'm hearing it way way way more.
shouldn't say Well, of course you shouldn't say it even though I get accused of being it all the time on Twitter Just wanted to ask you guys I wanted to know where your Vibes were at on it. Has anyone else noticed that it's being said more like um on I don't know I I'm hearing it more just of uh New York especially New York City a lot more left-leaning I'm hearing it more on the streets of New York Um I have some friends out in La I'm hearing it more out there I'm hearing it more on like TV and stuff it's now considered offense of. the words can be referred by the euphemism's r word and our Slaughter I agree with that. like but I think that was almost five years ago I think five years ago it was considered to be hyper offensive, but now it's almost taking a weird swing back in to culture at least from what I've noticed some of us are grandfathered in.
you're like it's cool I Can I grew up in playing recess on the recess grounds in the 80s and 90s were grandfathered into it. you know I never stop saying all right I Don't know if people should be too proud of you I never stop saying it like it did piss a lot of people off I got in Tesla calls expiring 217 Is this a bad position? I don't know. depends on the strike depends on the IV what was your Delta That's fair I mean I think young kids are impressionable and we probably shouldn't be saying those words like you kind of have. They have to understand the weight of the word that they're saying. Just remember that though, like in the 80s and the 90s. I wasn't alive in the 80s. but I can tell you in the 90s and then maybe like Middle School in the early 2000s that was the word that we said every other word like every other word like I don't know if I'm giving you guys flashbacks to the 90s and the early 2000s, but from a vernacular standpoint, we were letting that puppy fly. Way too much.
Way too much. It was big in the 80s. Why? 2K We were all just happy we survived. Y2K No name guy that's so aggressive.
Oh wait, can I am Should I be trading right now? All right. I have made some pretty big alterations to the robot strategy rate lately over the weekend. Uh well. last week and over the weekend I was uh, doing a little bit of data research on my stuff and I think I found out some things that could improve it.
So uh, we're kind of trading with version like gazillion at this point. Honestly, I'm trying to make sure that it's going to be set up. Uh, it hasn't fired yet. You're going to hear it.
If the robot goes off, you're gonna hear order filled. Um, and this is more of a day trade. When you hear order film. that's my day trading Futures robot and then when you hear that dink, that's just the thinkorswim like swing trade for the premium.
So two different things going on. Two different things going on. Go figure. Sold my Tesla stock Tuesday Hey, you never know how it's gonna end.
Coulda Woulda Shoulda type of a deal Coulda Woulda Shoulda type of a deal. So what is it really like to live in New York um most days I don't leave like I go from the apartment to the studio and that's like kind of it. uh I don't I don't know I'm I'm jealous. My completely real girlfriend got invited to go see Seth Meyers and said that like I would love to see Seth Meyers I Love watching comedians I would love to be a comedian it turns out I'm just not funny but I I truly enjoy.
It's one of my favorite things to go even like even the small like I'm not saying like it has to be like I've gone to Gotham City a couple times and comedy seller a couple times where it's kind of like up-and-coming comedians or comedians that are trying to make it and that's one of the coolest things to me in New York is like on any given day you can find good comedians, you can find good concerts, you could find good shows. um so on Monday my completely real girlfriend got to see Seth Meyers and said he was not only like really good but he was like Beyond Hilarious! Um so that's kind of cool I like that I like that there's always things to do. It's so expensive I mean I don't know if you caught the start of the show but we just notched a new high like all-time rate rental rate in January It's stupidly expensive I mean there's people living in legitimate like shoe boxes for like five grand a month in Manhattan and so like the cost of it I Guess I'm of the opinion that I'm here at the right time in my life. That's how I think of it. I I Think it would be very difficult for me to like, really establish like a familial life here just because it's so expensive. like I'm sure to all the parents in here you already know it's crazy expensive to raise a kid than raising a kid in a super small place when everything's even more elevated in price. I Think it would just be a little too stressful. so I'm happy that I'm here at this moment in my life.
I Don't plan on being in New York for the long run I plan on being here while I'm doing what I'm doing with my career, but it's not a long-term thing to me I I can't I don't know I try to imagine it and I just I imagine it would be very. It's probably already very difficult to be a parent and like raise a family and everything and I think it would just have added stress uh, financially and for various other reasons to do it like right here in. Manhattan Matt Stand up Nick Good call dude. my Lum my lumbar, my lower back.
whatever that is probably gonna get demolished if I keep sitting for as long as we did. Do you lift legs on the stair stepper? You know to build that dump. You know it. So the stick here.
Let me show you. So when I'm stair stepping they do. They make you do various things. Let me bring this up here.
So usually you just get going and you're oh this is dangerous. So usually you just step in like this but here let me face you guys. Oh I'll go No I can't because then I can't talk right? So usually you're just stair stepping like this. but then sometimes they have you do cross steps.
well you can't see it because like the black in my legs. but you cross your right in front of your left a lot they're like cross step cross step. Now do two steps, cross step in two steps and then other times they make you go to the side and with every step you're walking up like sideways and then you kick a leg out for the side of your hip so you like you'll do like 50 that side and then you switch to the other way and then you're like you step you quick and the stairs are running the whole time. so you're like kicking it an
