Sh Yeah! Oh brother, old brother, old brother. good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome back to another episode of the MTC show. Where your Matt cores and the show and today I'm just uh I'm just an onlooker today.

today this is all you to to start off the week. Uh, this is this is going to be the you show so if this goes well, congratulations If this goes poorly, maybe you should have done a little bit more preparation work. Um, folks, before we get into the important political economic Market the week ahead type of an update I Have to let you know I very much have to let you know what's going on with the Eagles How did we lose to the Jets like I I've seen some things in my life that for various reasons might surprise me, just statistically unlikely developments and yet I never thought that the Eagles with the current Eagles roster was going to lose to the Jets with the current Jets roster. Are you kidding me? Are are you folks? I don't know? I Don't know if that's either a good sign, getting all my bad luck out of the way already and then I can crush it all week or if it's a sign to come, it's a sign of I Guess the horror to come I don't know I don't know I've been trying to understand I've been trying to read some of the tea leaves on this one and it's not good.

You don't understand the NFL script. It might be that maybe I just don't understand. Uh, the are? is there any NFL team undefeated right now? cuz I Saw that the the 49ers lost which was a bit of a surprise. the Chiefs lost like the first game of the season.

So I think like based on power rankings, the top three teams all have a loss right? Or is there I think everyone has a loss right? At least one loss. no undefeated team. So I guess technically we're still up there. but dude, not a good situation.

On a positive note, super positive note: Penn State won even though we played like a no-name team and we beat him like 60 plus to nothing. So at least at least Penn State is still undefeated. Unfortunately, there's a good chance that that ends this upcoming week. Uh, when we play Ohio State And let's just admit it.

Ohio State Over the past handful of years has been a better football team than Penn State Um, just better recruiting better players like? So I don't know once in a while we get lucky we're still in the same league of them like there is a chance we can win. Um, but nine times out of 10 It seems like over the past decade they've ended up beating us. So I don't know we're going to need some sort of Miracle performance. It's just the the way football's been going for me this season.

I think I lost in both my fantasy teams. the Eagles lost. The only thing that like I could hang my hat on from this past weekend is the fact that Penn State won. So a little bit of a positivity, little bit of a positivity.

Um, but other than that, not looking so good. you know what also is not looking so good my positions I thought to myself hey Matt I was sitting there Friday afternoon after crushing it and you guys saw it. this is post stream I was like there's a lot of risk over the weekend. you should buy some on DTE puts because it feels like the Market's going to gap down and it it it didn't If you haven't seen the market yet, it it's actually gapping up.
So my one DTE unless there's a horrific vomit in the first half hour of the market, they there there those go there. those very very much go on that note, we actually today maybe not the most volatile, but it also could be like this week ahead of us is actually crazy. Obviously we still have the global conflict in the Middle East with the war in Israel On top of that, we have some developments of what's Biden doing. What's not Biden doing Putin's now even making some calls.

So there's Global political turmoil more than we've been seeing over the past two weeks. Obviously, within the Us we have political turmoil of what's going on with the Speaker of the house, so we have some updates. There it is. The start of earning season started last week and this week it's going to be continuing so we have some.

really every single day of this week we have important earnings but I would argue that the Highlight is Wednesday when we hear from both Tesla and Netflix that's on Wednesday We have a lot of macroeconomic events tomorrow. we'll be starting this stream early because we have retail sales on Thursday Jerome pow will be speaking and I think he's one of 17 different fed speeches this week and this week also have hoping to be Opex like we have options expiration this Friday volatility those contracts will be rolling Wednesday So from the global political scale just down to what's going on in the market, we have a lot to pay attention to. We have a Lot. A lot A lot.

Ukraine Completely forgotten. I'm actually seeing a lot of pretty funny memes of how like Zilinsky now feels forgotten. Uh, obviously there's I'm sure there's thousands of members of our political regime that are actively paying attention to that, but in terms of media, it definitely feels like there's the new novel toy that everyone's paying attention to. Stocks will tank by Thursday Maybe I'm going to get into more detail about this, but I Wouldn't be surprised if the market because of the the vix expiration on Wednesday if the markets actually kind of held up until then now.

obviously if we have a big price action breakdown, if the Spy goes below like roughly 428 and some change really I'm looking at the SPX the actual S&P 500 breaking below 4300 if that happens before Wednesday I think Look Out Below But I think there's actually maybe if if we hold that level, the market might just kind of go sideways, maybe even drift up a little bit. Don't forget October Seasonality generally favors the Bulls Um, but right now just looking at what's going on in the options Market With respect to volatility itself, tracking the vix, uh, it might actually be held up now. obviously at the end of the day, price action is what rules the game. so strong price action can override, um, some secondary forces from the options Market obviously.
but just all things to pay attention to. Yes, we're going to be getting into all of it. so uh, should be a fun week. Should be a hopefully a higher volatility, higher octane week.

As of now, it appears it's going to go that way, but hey, the opening bell on Monday hasn't even gone ding any ding ding ding So I don't know all I know did I watch the fights? I did watch the fights I Completely forgot about that I mean look at my thumbnail. that's the thumbnail and I forgot about it. Um, so if you guys didn't know, Logan Paul and Dylan Dennis fought and then so did KSI and Tommy Fury So a big influencer celebrity boxing thing uh, happening over the weekend and I don't know if you guys watched it, but that is time of my life that I'm never going to get back. never going to get back.

I Think the Logan Paul Dylan Danis fight was one of the most boring, underwhelming, disrespectful boxing bouts I have ever seen. I mean I didn't Dylan Danis throw like 10 punches. He ended up getting disqualified because he like tried to break into some MMA like Brazilian ju-jitsu stuff at the end Logan Paul's security guys came into the ring before the fight was over. Then there was a big brawl.

It was like this whole thing. So anyway Logan Paul ended up winning because Dylan Dennis who was already losing got disqualified. Then with the next fight I watched it I very much thought Tommy Fury was going to wipe the floor with KSI and in all reality, even though I'm not even a me mediocre knowledge of boxing, I'm I'm below that. but based on what I saw in the fight I Really thought that KSI actually won, especially when you account for the point that was deducted from Tommy Fury I don't understand how he got the majority decision I really don't the out of three judges one said it was a tie fight and then the other two gave it to Tommy Fury and watching the fight I really thought KSI actually won and then when you account for the point deduction, I don't understand how it works out that they're saying Tommy Fury was the winner I I Just don't get it.

Anyone having YouTube ad issues? Wait, are you guys having problems right now? It feels like this new system that they're trying to roll out trying to roll out is really, uh, causing some problems. Uh, if it, if it is problematic, I could just try to straight up turn it off. um if that makes life easier for everyone. Uh, but let me know.

uh, we do have about just over 20 minutes until that Bell goes ding Andy ding ding ding So let's take a a look you see at what's going on in the world. sock Futures Rise to kick off a busy earnings week among many other reasons why this week will be very, very busy. So here's a quick look at the major earnings for the week. So this morning we heard from Charles Schwab another financial institution mixed bag results.
Uh, after the market closed today I Don't think any of you are really going to be interested in this before the Market opens tomorrow. Bank of Morgan uh excuse me Bank of America Lockie Martin Goldman Sachs John and Johnson Interesting note on Johnson and Johnson is Fizer reported some stuff Friday and then over this weekend of how their revenue is dramatically dropping because the estimation of how many people they thought would get like the newest booster. um, it it's coming in lower than that. So uh, within the like Biotech Rona World We're seeing a lot of downward pressure there after the market closes on Tuesday United Interactive Brokers.

The in my opinion the exciting day is Wednesday because we hear from Tesla and Netflix later on AT&T American Tsmc and then we have some oil plays on Friday So this is very much earning season. It'll be going on this week, the next week, and the next week. So the next three weeks of our lives are we're going to have a lot of earnings to pay attention to with I believe this week and next week kind of being like some major major ones at least with respect to the big players in the S&P 500. On top of that, obviously, we also have some macroeconomic reports and I guess I have a gazillion tabs open.

Um, so let's get going with this. Nothing scheduled today in terms of macroeconomic reports. Obviously we have some Fed members and whatnot. I'll be sharing that in a second, but uh, tomorrow before the Market opens Tuesday October 17th 8:30 in the morning.

an hour before the Market opens, we hear from uh, we get the retail sales from in the US and then we're also getting the GDP update uh from China but that's going to come later on. actually around 1: p.m. ET Wednesday we get the CPI out of Europe building permits. uh crude oil inventories? That might be interesting this time around Thursday normal Thursday stuff.

But on top of that, we hear from uh, the Fed chair pal at noon o'clock Speaking of Fed chair pal which is going to be on Thursday right here This is just some of the major Fomc uh major Fed member speaking this week. so uh, today 10:30 Harker will be speaking Uh, you can look at this I put it up on Locals Mawar Locals.com You can get this for free. This isn't a premium post or anything like that I just put out the main ones that I think you're going to be caring about. So literally every single day this week.

uh with Thursday being the big big one. But with every single day this week we are going to have Fed members speaking. So definitely something to pay attention to. Uh, before we get into an update of what's going on in the Middle East Here's just some individual: Equity updates Fiser Sl's full year earnings and revenue guidance as: Ron Nutri Vaccine Sales slump Fiser Sl's full year earnings and revenue got into on Friday as a demand for Ron treatment and vaccine Wayne shares dropped in extended trading uh Dow future tries 200 points to start a busy week of earnings.
All right, whatever you say there brother. Right Aid Files for bankruptcy as debt load and Opoid risk rise us Pharmacy chain Right Aid Filed for bankruptcy as it faces debt load of more than three billion. That's a lot and claims over its role in the opioid epidemic. The company secured 3.45 billion from its lenders to fund its operations during the process.

With the support of our lenders, we look forward to strengthening our financial Foundation advancing our transformation initiatives and excelling the execution of our turnaround strategy. It's Chapter 11, so R Aid has been preparing for Chapter 11 filings as it grapples with billions in long-term borrowings and declining sales. The situation worsened after the US government claimed it filed hundreds of thousands. That's that's crazy.

The government is claiming writing and filed hundreds of thousand thousands of unlawful prescriptions for opioid painkillers. Other National Pharmacy chains including CVS and Walgreens have already agreed to pay big sums for their involvement in the opioid epidemic. These two chains settled late last year with a dozen states agreeing to pay more than1 billion. So obviously CVS and Walgreens taking a hit and then R A taking such a severe hit that is now officially in bankruptcy.

Taylor Swift Erors Tour is the highest grossing domestic concert film ever. Taylor Swift's Aist Tour concert, uh, tallied between 95 and 97 million during the opening weekend. It's the highest opening concert film of all time, and the highest grossing domestic release of a concert film ever. Around 4.8 million people were estimated to have attended the film over the weekend, with an average ticket of just below $21 So even though this is record-breaking the stock is actually down.

Because the estimation of where this would perform was higher, it was in the realm of 150 million they thought would be the opening weekend. So even though it's record-breaking and it seems good, remember the game of stocks and predictions and equities and all. That is what is your expectation. Do you beat it or do you go below it? So even though this is record-breaking seemingly bullish, the expectation was higher.

so it underperformed the expectation. Hence why AMC is down in pre-market trading right now? All right. Uh, don't forget we did kind of do more of a thorough breakdown of this yesterday. Yes, on Sundays we do do mid I guess day streams I Want to say noon? but it's not always noon.

It's basically in between major football games because I know you guys are degenerate gamblers, not only in the stock market, but probably within. Sports I Think that's a fair assumtion of all you degens in here. But anyway, we did more of a breakdown of this newsletter: Mls.com It's in the description of the video I Gave you my opinions of what happened the previous week. What? I'm looking forward to the upcoming week.
All the major macroeconomic events, All the earnings. I Think you're going to care about the seasonality for today. It's neutral. It was bullish.

It was bearish. It did nothing. Now it's recently popping. So summing that Al together: I think seasonally.

We could say this over the past 25 years is more of a neutral day, but then obviously a little bit more bullish on Tuesday neutral on Wednesday leaning bullish on Thursday and then I would argue bullish on Friday and then an update of all the zero DT strategy stuff the premium selling from the previous week and then obviously charts of interest. and if you want want my breakdown of the Spy The Q's Tesla Apple Microsoft Nvidia Netflix make sure you watch that stream from yesterday. Um, the one thing I want to bring to your attention is Apple It took a hit in pre-market trading today because some reports were coming out from the iPhone sales in China in China excuse me down 4.4 4.5% below expected. So uh, Apple taking a hit because of that so I wouldn't be the most surprised if the tech sector was under a bit more pressure relative to the overall Market because the overall market, energy and financials are looking pretty good.

so the spy catching a little bit of a bullish Tailwind because of energy and financials, but the tech sector not necessarily helping the most This morning Israel says no ceasefire agreed for foreigners to leave Gaza Biden says reoccupation would be a mistake Uh, so a little bit of an update of everything that happened from Friday afternoon to this morning Iran This is breaking news as of what 45 minutes ago, possible expansion of war is approaching in inevitable stage. So this is obviously concerning for many, many, many reasons and a big question for a while now. we obviously know the connection the direct connection between Iran and Hez Buah, but now kind of a more of a secondary connection between Iran and Hamas which is the Palestinian group within the Gaza shrip more of that militant group and I. Bring that up because I do think it's incredibly important to separate Hamas from pal Palestine and from the Palestinians.

In fact, if you look into it, there's a lot of people within Palestine who they're like no, I'm I'm a thrun through Palestinian but they don't agree with Hamas I Don't think it's good to be grouping those two um, I guess groups together. So anyway, Hamas within G's STP militant group. Obviously, they still do want to I Guess it's in what their founding thing to uh, eradicate all Jews from Israel Something like that. Like something pretty horrific.
But anyway, the back and forth of is Iran going to join in officially? Well, little update there us pushes to contain Israel Hamas War warns Iran about escalation. The US and its allies are ratcheting up efforts to prevent the war between Israel and Hamas from engulfing The Wider region, acting on concerns that an invasion of the Gaza Strip by Israeli forces could prompt Iran to enter the conflict. Just so you know, between last night and this morning, there was u a thought that maybe Biden was going to be visiting the area. Uh, as of about a half hour ago, an hour ago, if you're watching this live, he has officially decided to not be going.

The US has warned Iran in recent days through back. Channel talks about the risk of escalation. Uh, he said the US can rule out Iran intervening either directly or via Hasbullah. Remember, that's the group just to the North of Israel In Lebanon the Lebanon-based militia group that it sponsors Israel's emergency government has vowed to wipe out Hamas and mobilize 300,000 reservists ahead of a major ground attack with hostility centering around the blockade.

Enclave In Israel South the US has asked Qatar to tell Hez Buah not to open a second front to the war. So various things to consider I mean more than a various things. Obviously, this place has a history that is 4,000 plus years old, so there's a lot of complexities. There's a lot of moving Parts not only in the current conflict, but just how we even got here to begin with.

it is in Israel's interest to avoid civilian casualties and Palestinian casualties because Hamas clearly wants to turn this into a wider Arab Israel war or intend a war between the Muslim world and the wider World None of us including Israel want that to be the case. Uh, so just sharing. this is from the Foreign Secretary, the UK Foreign Secretary. So this is just some update of what's going on.

Obviously the intensity of it, the volatility of it seems to be speeding up rather than slowing down. Unfortunate for everyone. obviously in the regions, everyone directly impacted, everyone impacted on a secondary basis. Just like obviously, when Global tensions boil over like this.

Not a Bueno situation by any means. China says Israel's actions in Gaza are Beyond self-defense as Us races to avert wider conflict. More than 1400 mostly civilians have been killed in Israel in the week after the Hamas militant group staged the worst assault on Israel since the 1973 Yam Kapore. War Israel last week pounded Gaza in air strikes that have killed at least 2.7 th000 people, cut off food, water, fuel and electricity to the Palestinian enclave and ordered civilians to evacuate Northern Gaza ahead of an expected ground assault amid eradicating Hamas.

So I think it goes without saying that on both sides, you have a lot of innocent people who want nothing to do with this whatsoever being impacted. a lot of them being like just nonsensically murdered. On both sides, you have a lot of innocent men, women, and children who want nothing to do with it, but just because of the bad hand that they were dealt when they were born. They in an area that's obviously War torn and I'm I'm it goes out to them.
my my feelings go out to them Thoughts: P Like it. It's just horrific. It's an absolutely horrific thing us to tighten curbs on China's access to Advanced Tech just because Obviously right there. the most recent article talking about China and their thoughts on it and we know that with the Israel Saudi normalization talks now kind of just being completely done, we know the benefactor of that because before it benefited the US, Israel and Saudis Well now what's this? What's the lack of talks going to benefit most likely Iran, Palestine and China So obviously uh, through back channels and now directly in front of our face we have China's new I guess involvement and the the Us through other channels.

Kind of hitting back at China us to tighten curbs on China's access to Advanced chip Tech Uh, right here. the US plans to tighten sweeping measures to restrict China's access to Advanced semiconductors and chipm gear, seeking to prevent its geopolitical rival from obtaining cuttingedge technologies that could give it a military. Edge The latest rules aim to refine and Clos loopholes from curbs announced last: October The bidet Administration is seeking to strengthen controls on selling traffic chips for artificial intelligence applications and advanced ship making equipments to Chinese firms. Obviously, when you think about this, this is going to impact companies such as Nvidia AMD Intel Qualik How the revenue Basically obviously China wanted to be a big purchaser, but the US is intervening saying uh-uh you can only sell certain type of chips to I guess obviously who they're identifying as an adversary.

The US will impose additional checks on Chinese firms attempting to evade export restriction by routing shipments through other nations and add Chinese chip design firms to a trade restriction list requiring overseas manufacturers to gain a US license to fill orders for those companies. China has bristled at the restrictions and accelerated investments in building its own domestic capabilities according to their foreign Ministry The US politicizing, instrumentalizing and weaponizing trade and Tech issues. Uh, in a way they are I Can't really disagree with it, but I would argue that they're kind of doing it for a reason. I Mean, don't forget about what's going on in Taiwan From what we've seen last year, well, it's a simply a tightening of those rules and a slight expansion as well.

Uh, obviously the by Administration is imposing these export controls on Advanced chip as well as chip making equipment to sort of limit uh, the ability of Chinese chip makers to get those proprietary Technologies uh developed by the United States and its allies, possibly into the hands of Chinese military. So this would be a closing of a number of different loopholes that perhaps the US government has found that the Chinese Um procurement channels have used such as third countries or companies Chinese companies using their Affiliates in other countries to purchase uh such equipment Technologies and chips. So uh, it is a tightening perhaps uh, led by the Commerce Department uh to uh, you know, essentially close those loopholes which have allowed Chinese um, buyers to avoid those sanctions so far. Uh, this is not so unexpected, but right now we're hearing from sources that this could be announced by as early as the early part of this week.
Uh, and comes at a time. Obviously where we are here in: Beijing Uh, about to kick off the Belton Road initiative. Uh, completely unrelated, obviously. but a lot of developing nations leaders are here in this city today, including Vladimir Putin All right.

I Thought that was a pretty comprehensive little breakdown there. Five things to know before that: stock Market Bell goes Ding Ding Ding ding today Monday October 16th Markets look for footing As of this morning, the Spy is popping. The cues were looking a little bit more rough. They're starting to Rally uh, when things open this morning.

Right here. you could see where Apple took a hit at 6:00 a.m. uh Apple if it sells off pretty bad today, obviously. Apple being really the top dog of the market.

if that goes, look for the tech sector to go and potentially the overall Market But you might be thinking, well, why is the market pushing so hard when Tech's weak? Well, it has a lot to do with what's going on in the world of energy looking good this morning. XLE if I can type it in right, XLE is currently a 7% and then also F financials are up this morning as well a 8% So what's keeping the overall market up? Energy and Financial are performing well and look at this: I mean oil oil's just ripping back oil took a hit, bounced a little double bottom, pushing higher so paying attention to energy paying attention to financials paying attention to Tech Those are the three things that like I'm really, really, particularly honing in on looking at the Spy I would argue that this is bearish. We sold off, got a fake out breakdown, a little bit of a liquidity sweep we'll call it then a reversionary bounce, a reversion bounce into key EMA levels. This purple line is the 48 EMA rejected rejected rejected rejected sell off.

So from here, lower highs, lower lows Thursday and Friday of last week arguably bearish right now. Yes, we are opening up a bit stronger, but I don't know if my tune would change until we push above 430 645 and my reasoning for that is if we push above that, well, then we officially have higher highs and higher lows. But until then this might just be a lower high. and if we keep selling I'd be looking for the test of somewhere between 428 429.
Uh, if you're trading SPX Obviously it's going to look the exact same, but just in terms of a key level I Have an alert set up at 4,300 Key Technical level key psychological level remaining above that I Think the part Market could like, maybe drift up till Wednesday but if we break below that I think we're actually going to very quickly sell off like a a sizable amount. So uh, paying attention to that just because it is Op. we have a lot of options expiring this week we have volatility rolling on Wednesday we had fed members, we have earnings. so um, this week I'm fully expecting larger moves, higher volatility.

The larger moves might end up being whipsaw. but I don't think that. uh. I Don't think we're going to have like a low volatility week by any means by any stretch of the imagination.

Last week the Q's similar looking to the Spy but in terms of its EMA It ended up finding support right there, pushing up a little little bit in pre-market but once again we're about 2 minutes and some change. until that Bell goes dingy ding ding ding. Right now the Bulls are in control in the pre-market session. Will it hold? Hey, your guess is as good as mine just looking at the daily chart Thursday and Friday we bearish.

Maybe this is as much gas in the tank that the Bears have or maybe this is just a little bit of a reversion, but dude, this is I mean we got as lows 42988 and the Bulls push up to 433 87. the Bulls are in control right now. Uh, just for pre-market on The Daily I Would argue that the Bears on earning season gets into gear. We already covered that humanitarian crisis.

uh, escalates Israel Hamas A lot of people being displaced. A lot of people without food, water, energy. Uh Right Aid files for bankruptcy. We talked about that and Fizer's Row in a slump.

Talked about that as well. So folks buckle up. Buckle up. buckle up.

There is a lot going on between earnings. Uh, the conflict in the Middle East the war I Should really say in the Middle East Um, craziness in the options Market it's just wherever you look. This week, it seems like there's a lot to pay attention to. So obviously together.

Maybe maybe we'll get this one right. Or who knows, maybe we'll completely mess it up I Don't know. Uh, I asked you guys on YouTube if you're feeling bullish or bearish and 56% of you said bullish show, 55% of you said bullish show just just over half. So you guys are not really being the most decisive this morning.

What about you guys on Rumble On Rumble Are you feeling bullish or bearish? The 10e just clipped. Okay US 10 y If this continues higher dude and it's looking strong, look for the market to fall. Dude, if yields keep going up, how's the dollar looking? The Dollar's drifting down a little bit. Okay, so yields I Would actually at this point argue a little bit more influential than the dollar, but the dollar still very, very influential.
So watch the dollar at 10650. But when I see yields this strong, we just know bonds are getting decimated. This is yeah. look at bonds this morning.

dude. I I Get that the Market's popping right now a little bit in pre-market but I don't know how confident I'd be in that I Really don't know how like just seeing what's going on in bond and yields. And yeah, you could point to the dollar now showing some weakness. but if the dollar pushes 10650, if the dollar pushes 10670.

Dude: Look Out Below Uh, Bitcoin getting a big pop if you don't know why what's going on with Bitcoin So it was announced that the SEC is not going to be challenging grayscale as in it seems to my understanding and I'm no lawyer I don't speak legales, but to my understanding it appears as if we will. The road is paid for us to get a spot. Bitcoin ETF So why is us getting a spot? Bitcoin ETF So bullish for Crypto? Well, we officially are now getting highway on ramps for Big Money Big Wall Street To actually get invested in Crypto something we didn't have before and even think about this. Retirement accounts within the Us.

about 10 to 12 trillion dollar depending on what source you're looking at. That's a big amount of money. Now this is opening a way for retirement accounts to actually be invested directly into crypto. so it's more of really.

the highway Onramps is the best way to explain it for Wall Street Retirement accounts. Um, and this is all now happening because as of either yesterday or early this morning, the SEC is basically not going to be appealing the grayscale decision. So it looks like we are getting that spot. Bitcoin Uh, ETF or at least we're on like the direction the trajectory to officially getting that without having many uh barricades in the way at this point.

So Spot Bitcoin ETF The Real McCoy Before this we had Bitcoin ETFs but they weren't spot Bitcoin It was more through Futures the Futures market. So this is the difference between being cash settled and physically settled. So this is getting nuances. But what you need to know about Spot Bitcoin ETF is that ETF that exchange traded fund will whatever money's coming into it, they're legitimately going out and buying Bitcoin while with Futures it was more cash settled than physically settled.

So it it was just a little bit different. So it was the difference between is the underlying asset actually Bitcoin or is the underlying asset Bitcoin Futures and that's a slight Nuance That in this case is very important. but before this like most people were just kind of like brushing aside type of a deal. Ding ding ding ding.

The casino is open. Best of luck to all. Play responsibly if not have lots of fun. Uh, obviously.
Minute number one looking a little bit bearish. Minute number two now ripping and that probably I mean this. Bitcoin Pardon me? Yeah, look at how Bitcoin is doing now that the world is digesting the news going from 28k up to almost 30k. Almost $2,000 in five minutes.

That's crazy. That's absolutely crazy. What's going on with Bitcoin it? It's exactly that. It's the ETF Uh, hang on.

let's get rid of this bit. Bitcoin Exploding higher. Why is this not updating? All right, We got that. SEC approved it.

Yes, Exactly exactly exactly. Uh well here. let's wait. Wait those first 5 10 15 minutes for the market to open and while that is happening, uh, it should be already on.

CNBC it should be on Cmbc. Why do they not have it? You know who will have it? Coindesk Wolf I guess CNBC and Bloomberg neither of them are reporting on it. but I bet Coindesk has it. Let's see what Coindesk is up to.

Coindesk Coin Desk Coin Desk uh Bitcoin flirts with 28k after SEC won't appeal loss in great scale decision third week of SPF Trial Uh, but there should be additional gray scale Gbtc discount nearest to near two-year lows. Yeah, so anyone in you're going to that's just called Arbitrage At that point, the fact that it's all going to be going through uh SEC W appeal SEC deadline and gray skills Bitcoin ETF Dispute approaching at midnight, but I believe this is now old I think it already went through. Uh, so Crypto is just riting specifically Bitcoin Um, and just so you guys know, I'm in Bitcoin I'm in Ethereum. Uh, I'm in some others, but I'm definitely more supportive of Bitcoin more supportive of Ethereum I don't actively trade them at all I invested in them and I'm just kind of holding on it.

so I'm in it. Uh, but so did it actually go through. uh Bitcoin uh Justin SEC has approved Block Black Rocks Bitcoin Spot ETF breaking SEC approves Iar's Bitcoin So oh, are they approving everyone? Massive spike in Bitcoin on this tweet. Uh, the Black Rock Ey share.

Okay, this is just black rock Black Rock must have paired up with Ey shares SEC approves. Oh wow, that's a big deal. Uh, interesting. Well so the if the Spot ETF the real thing through Black Rock Um, got approved.

That's crazy. That's absolutely crazy. So just 10% It ripped above 30k like it was nothing from 9:25 to 9:30 Took 5 minutes for Bitcoin to go from 208,000 to 30,000 Uh, obviously the tech sector getting a little bit of enthusiasm off of that little bit of enthusiasm. Coin is running.

Yeah, that makes sense. I mean coin's well, how much is it up? It's up 5% right now, so pre-market maybe not looking like or intraday, maybe not looking the best, but it's currently up 5% trading at 77 Wild. Absolutely wild. Well congratulations to everyone who had uh, faith in Bitcoin What is the Elf news? uh uh.

Um, where's Eth at? We'll throw Eth up there just to see what's going on. I Would imagine that gold has to be kind of getting hit on this news. Uh, oil sitting at 87 Bitcoin now below 29. Look at that volatility.

dude. Bitcoin up 2K down 1K I Don't know if this is a messa print or legitimate but dude, this is wild wild, wild wild. um by the room sell the news on bitcoin I don't actively trade it so I don't really have any hardcore opinions on it cuz I'm just invested in it. uh I just I Have had it now for years and I'm just sitting on it, just sitting on it, sitting on it, sitting on it.

um SEC more like Oprah you get a crypto ETF You get a crypto ETF You get a crypto ETF Matt check under your chair. you get a crypto ETF Um, this is apparently a rumor still looking uh, lipster. No, it was. It's I mean all over Twitter right now from like legitimate um, sites or legitimate accounts covering news.

What's the ETF It's the Black Rock uh Bitcoin it's the Black Rock ey shares uh Bitcoin spot Bitcoin ETF so there was already Twitter isn't a source H I disagree I think actually Twitter could be a phenomenal Source I Think is actually the fastest news source in the world right now so you just have to find the accounts that are credible. but I fully disagree I Actually trust in Twitter way more than what mainstream media on it I mean they're going to be slow to report it's I Actually think Twitter is a lot more credible in certain circumstances you need to know the accounts of file. Obviously, there's going to be BS accounts Like just spewing nothing but baloney. but there's good ones.

And it was reported by um Walter Bloomberg or Walter whatever it is, what's that? Walter account What's that finance account Walter Bloomberg right here Bitcoin surges 10% to high. This guy reported it. This is a legitimate re Financial right here SEC approves Ey shares Bitcoin spot ETF The Ey shares is the one with black Rock the Black Rock Ey shares Bitcoin ETF Um so when I see this, uh, Bitcoin extends gains among ongoing reports of ETF approval from SEC If Walter Bloomberg's reporting it, I'm going to believe it. Bam is credible Source Dude.

All right, don't make me laugh, don't make me laugh. All right. where are we at? So the Spy currently sitting at 4:34 Let's check out how the options. try again.

Uh, let's check out how the options Market is looking All right. so hang on I wanted it just on the Spy Interesting. Well once again a flow I guess alert signaled 15 seconds into the day. the options Market Kind of drifting down, but please keep in mind that we're only 12 minutes into the day.
And then let's look at the tech sector. if it loads, if it loads, if it loads, if it loads, if it loads, if it loads if it loads. all right there we go it loaded. da da da uh zero DTE Q's are going flat.

all expiration is going down so on the q's flat to drifting down there is a hedge wall at 367 so don't be surprised if there's a fight there on the Q's and then on the Spy kind of also drifting down. So um, take this with the grain of salt please. We're 12 minutes into the trading day. This is not the end.

all be all but uh I I Guess what I really care about is more so I've been watching the Futures market watch this. uh this em right here. Very very important. Uh, 3 minute I mean think about it this way.

the shorter the time frame it's going to be showing you Trend reversals or really continuations first. But the shorter your time frame, the more false positives you're going to get. So it's tough. It's a balancing act because you want to be early to the signal, but you don't want to be so early that you're suffering from any false positives.

So in this situation, if let's look at the one minute obviously on the one minute, this would be breaking down from that 5050 EMA First, it's right below it. right now that's the first one to go. but when it's talking about the 1 minute lot of false signals there, 3 minute. Okay, that's a little bit more interesting.

so I'm watching 4376 on the S&P 500 futures Market But the one that I would really care about where I'm like oh okay, like the trend really might be reversing is here on the 10minute I'd be watching 4,370 That's where the 48 EMA is right now. on the 30 minute, that is actually about that same level. So the 30 minute and the 10minute EMA or excuse me, the 10 minute and the 30 minute breakdown have roughly that same important price level about a dollar below where we are on the Spy right now. So we'll just call it like 43250.

If the Spy hits 43250, that could actually be signaling like that's a big decision point is my point. Um, a big decision area is my point. If we bounce out of there okay, the Bulls are in control. If we break down from there, we might be saying High to 430 today.

Um, SO waiting for that and I know that's a a bit far away and that's just basically because the market had a pretty solid rally this morning, but we'll just keep watching it already. on the one minute. A bit of a breakdown on the 3 minute, not quite there, on the 5 minute, not quite there. So uh, maybe the sign of a of a falter here, but also it literally just could.

This could just be a classic, mean reversion move. Coming to your averages, it makes a base and then explodes out of there. So various things to pay attention to: I wouldn't put the car in front of the horse quite quite yet. Um, on the daily chart right here.
Lower highs, lower lows today thus far, an inside day, we're not above 4407. We're not below 4340 so we have to just wait on the larger time frame on The Daily We're not breaking out. we're not breaking down at this point yet, so we just have to wait. We have to wait.

We have to wait. All right. All right. All right watching this coin now taking a little bit of a hit.

Let's go to the 3 minute. uh I did want to show you some other charts just while we're waiting for things to like. I guess start making a decision. look at Bitcoin look at Bitcoin popped up Consolidated got hit Consolidated now pushing out but the it's almost getting smacked now.

Interesting. Here's a look at Tesla still within its uh, bullish pendant. lower highs, higher lows on The Daily Just waiting. Probably looking for a test to this 246 247 area and then watching if it bounce off, bounces off of that returns to the mid 260s or is it going to break down and go to 240s? So watching that on Tesla Remember Tesla reports its earnings after the market closes on Wednesday Uh, Nvidia I believe reports next week.

but Nvidia also had a very important decision Zone Uh, fake outbreak down pushes higher right at that trend line right now. Don't forget about the recent update of the closing of loopholes I'll call it of what's going on with semiconductors and the Biden, Administration and China and who can sell what to who? So that's obviously going to be impacting Nvidia We have Netflix I Still very much believe Netflix is coming down to this downside. Gapville at 34138, that's on Nflx. Uh, it's just been dying.

Dying. dying. Could not recapture this key level. And it it's just vomiting.

Netflix is just vomiting. similar to Nvidia Microsoft trying to stay above its Trend Actually, let me show you this a bit more clearly right here. Uh, this is what I mean uh about. Microsoft Uh, double bottom bounce trend line, breakout and now re-evaluated on Friday This bottom side trend line.

Remember the recent news with Microsoft is the merger with Activision went through. which means Activision no longer trading and that's why Lululemon's doing so well because Lululemon took Activision Blizzard space on the S&P 500. That's a bullish development because any fund man who's mimicking the S&P 500 is now forced to buy Lululemon. So anyway, um, Microsoft Activision news also indirectly impacting Lululemon.

But anyway, uh, similar to Nvidia watching Microsoft to see if it holds the trend line breakout or not. All right, we have Apple negative news there. Got its Gap fill on Thursday and Friday and coming back down and right at its moving average. What else do we have? Bitcoin's coming down a lot.

What? What are we missing? Team am I missing something? Crypto news. Crypto news is fake. It is fake. So how did Walter did Walter already retract it? Their application is still under review.
Well, that's according to Fox. Now we're in this like awkward in between: Uh Bitcoin are just 10% their application is still under review Black Rock Oh Black Rock said it via Fox Business Does Fox Business even have a account here? Uh, that was 7 hours ago. Okay, well, they're not the most. How did they mess this up? This was on October 12th so no one's really.

uh. Bitcoin Uh, well Reuters is reporting SEC approving I Shar Bitcoin ETF This is via Benzinga, the actual headline on the terminal. I Still want more confirmation, but this is the second Source citing this so Benzinga reported it as well. Bitcoin ETF Approved by the SEC That's four minutes ago and that was coindesk.

Why haven't Why hasn't one? What is going on with those I Mean why haven't Why hasn't one been approved yet? and what do you think will happen? Some Bloomberg analysts say 75% chance that it'll still happen this year. Okay, before I answer that. I Just want to give one more booster for for people who are saying who are a little reticent. if you look at what happened during the Regional Bank crisis this year.

Uh, we learned a very important lesson. Uh, we had Regional Banks stocks plummeting, some of them going bankrupt, and Bitcoin Rose from 19,000 to 30,000 Bitcoin now vomiting below where it was holy. It tells us that because of decentralization and the transparency in the network, uh, that counterparty risk is not an issue. uh for Bitcoin Uh and so there was a flight to safety into Bitcoin Think about that.

uh as Bank stocks were plummeting. that spoke very loudly to me and I think the other reason uh people have been reticent is they heard about FTX Gold perfectly into it. Trend line FTX proved the point that you really want to be involved with a Bitcoin Network and not something like an FTX Why Bitcoin is transparent and decentralized F TX was completely centralized, drifting down completely Opa spy and on the but not big but definitely drifting down. uh S Bank mfree did not like Bitcoin and I understand why he thought he was a master of the universe and could could control everything.

Well, he couldn't control Bitcoin And that's its beauty. That's its beauty. Um, so now with the ETF what is going on I I Think you know we know the research people people at the SEC and they know what they're talking about. They are really good.

We've met uh, the head of Finhub now who reports directly to uh, uh, Chairman Gendler and for me, the disconnect is they know so much and they are so good. Uh, that? um I believe this was much more Gary Gendler standing in the way. um I Don't know for sure because they could never say something like that I Just know from uh how they how we have discussed uh Bitcoin with them that they really understand it and they understand its merits. Uh, most important.
Uh so this is Gary Gendler why he allowed and I will say he because I think he is the getting Factor here Why he allowed a Bitcoin Futures uh ETF which involves counterparty risk and not a Bitcoin ETF which does not involve counterparty risk. In fact it it is backed. Ours would be backed by Bitcoin one for one in Cold Storage at Coinbase Uh I Think the big argument is how do you safely store it the security of the argument. And and so uh I I think Gary Gensler's personal Vietnam is coming is coming I do think the the SEC is moving now He has in effect said hey, I'm not the only decision maker there are five Commissioners Here that means some of the research uh that we believe is percolating up to those Commissioners might uh be getting through to them and uh, might be the grounds Now for the approval of a Bitcoin ETF And we don't think that that the SEC will approve just one.

Uh, they will probably approve a group of them and that means it will become a marketing battle pop over the past 10 minutes. at least not our research. How are very flat? Uh, you know, give away our research energies coming back because financials are coming back. That's why this important to one of our mission and values.

In fact, techs a little bit weak. That helps us Looking Good Financial are looking better. Those go out and start marketing all right? So SEC approves. So as of 20 minutes ago, it was being heavily reported that the SEC did approve it.

But now I guess Black Rock via Fox News said it's still like being looked at, but with the SEC not challenging. Uh, the judge's case with grayscale, it feels like it's just a matter of time. Uh, so this is why we're seeing the whipsaw reaction in Bitcoin Pops gets hit. Um, so positive news that they're like, well, hang on.

Maybe it's not right, but now it. It very much just seems like it's a matter of time. It really does just feel like it's a matter of time before the SEC even says okay, yeah yeah, we are approving it so. but hey, if you were trading this, good luck with the volatility.

I Don't really I never really actively trade crypto. It's just not my thing I just I own Bitcoin I own Ethereum and I'm just sitting on it and hoping for the best best in the long term. No matter what you do with crypto, please don't keep your crypto on exchanges I Don't know how many times people need to learn this lesson. Um, take it offline.

Store it, not your keys, not your coin. Um Matt are yields still popping I Don't look at yields. Dude, it's not like I'm the secret person who the only person with access to yields. Uh, looks like they are very strong I Actually don't know how the Spy is holding up right now with yields this strong.

Is it because of the dollar? If the Dollar's still weak, that might be giving it. No, Even the dollar is coming back. So the dollar tried to break out right here. tried but got smacked right at its 48.
EMA Um, so watch the dollar watch yield. If they go up, look for the market to go down. Look for an indirect relationship. Uh, an inverse relationship.

The opposite movement. If the dollar is strong. and if yields are strong, bonds are going to be weak and most likely equities are going to be weak. Um so TLT getting hit.

So bonds are definitely weak us10, y, uh, yields are definitely strong. The only other thing is this dollar. uh, the dollar trying to get above its own moving averages If the dollar takes out 10650, 10670 I think the market. Falls But that's also a big.

If we got to pay attention to it. Are you going to take a position today on what? Matt wouldn't the spot ETF have negative effect on coinbase, less trading volume with people getting exposure through ETF No, Uh, no, because the people who already want exposure to crypto are going to do it. In my opinion, they're already like oh I figured out Coinbase. Uh, it's the ETF is for people who aren't going to go make a new account somewhere figure out like their storage or anything like that.

So if anything I think this just makes it more popular you're going to have and well, you even heard it I mean I Me, We just heard it with Kathy Wood Coinbase is going to be the person in charge of storing it for the ETF. So the success of the ETFs is going to lead to some success. I Don't know how much but some success for Coinbase Coinbase is involved in this ETF deal. They're the custodians.

Uh, Q is like they will see Friday's high like a big U do I think so? No. I think the tech sector is actually particularly weak. The only reason the Spy is not vomiting right now is because financials were doing okay, but they're starting to turn and energy was doing okay. but that's starting to turn.

I I Don't see in the short term I'm not seeing much bullishness going on. Look at the cues right here. Um, uh I guess I take that back because the 30 minute overtook its 48. EMA Um, will it see? it has to bounce out of here? It If you bought at this moving average, it's a 5050 flip of the coin of will this support hold on the NASDAQ daily? It might.

Um, I'm not feeling the most optimistic about it though seeing the dollar push. Right now, the dollar is pushing and so are yields that that's not going to. yields are ripping right now. It's hard for me to be bullish in the short term right now.

when I see the dollar this strong yields this strong and bonds this weak. and as soon as energy falters as soon as financials falter I mean it's Lookout below. If you see energy and Fin finals take a hit, it it's going to sell. Um, once again, it's a big if no one knows the next bar I can't tell you like whatever if yields keep going up though it it's just the game of is the deck stacked in your favor and the deck is stacked in the favor of the Bears if yields keep going up if the dollar keeps going up and then all of a sudden if these sectors that were strong this morning, energy and financials if they give way.
Dude, that's not good and you could tell the the Market's trying to make a decision right now. We had a decent opening range of about a dollar in the first 10 minutes, but ever since then we've just been sideways. I Mean look at the cues. Um, they how big was this range? About a do $2 is $2 is but look it pinned.

Ever since 945, it's trying to make a decision of which way is this going to capitulate? Is it going to rip to the upside or go to the downside? Uh I don't know. I'm just I see how strong yields are right now and I see that the dollar is starting to get some life in it. So if the dollar I mean there is an upside Gap fill on the dollar right here. I'm watching 10667.

Does it push above that or does it just go up and get smacked itself? Time will tell. but I would be very hesitantly. uh I would be hesitant to be bullish right now just because of Thursday and Friday were bearish. Different story.

if it continues to push above 15366. I would say that would change the story up a little bit. Uh, hang on Uh Black Rock Says ETF Application is still under review by the SEC Will these media companies get any sort of penalty for pumping and dumping? BTC We'll find out. We will find out.

Uh, but paying attention to that. Well, now the dollar getting smacked right at 10650. So watching the dollar watching yields any of the yields, the 10, the 20, the 30, whatever you want. Um, all different durations watching the financial sector watching the energy sector.

So Energy may be going down. Financials definitely going down. but what's weird Now we're kind of inverting this morning where Tech was weak energy and financials were strong. Now Tech is picking up.

There's almost a rotation. Money is rotating from energy and financials into Tech right now. Uh Tech catching a bit of a bid. In fact, the only red Tech play I see that I pay attention to is still Apple Microsoft's in the green Tesla's in the green.

Nvidia's in the green Netflix is in the green. Meta is in the green. Uh, so I'm seeing quite a bit of green now in the tech. Will it hold? I don't know.

We're literally 30 minutes into the day. The neither the Spy nor the Q's have broken their 30 minute range were just pinned right in the middle. So patience I don't I don't really see any move right now for the day. Traders out there.

right? you have to wait. You might see something I don't see and hey if if you have a winning strategy, have at it. But at least the way I look at the market, it seems like we are. It seems like the cues are pinned at 367 We know that's a hedge wall in the options Market On the Q's right here.
hedge wall 367 Um. options Market is still drifting down on the Q's here's a spy. the spy. Uh, we're not really seeing too much.

Kind of flat. Kind of flat. kind of flat. Let's reload just to make sure we're getting the most up to-date info.

Okay, yeah, options slowly drifting down, but nothing nothing to run home to Mom about. You know we just got to wait. You got to wait for either the upside break of this range. The downside: Break: Something to happen in energy or financial.

Either a rip or a dump. Uh, paying attention to these yields paying attention to the dollar we're We're basically waiting for someone to make some sort of move. The dollar tried to break out again, but got smacked again. Uh, on the 10-minute it's looking a little bit stronger.

We did get one close Above This 48 EMA but it's quickly coming down to reassess if it really wants to break out or not. Dollar's been drifting down ever since the market opened. Uh, but I Don't know. try to break out here smack.

try to break out smack. try to break out smack. try to break out. This might be the really one.

The one that does it or like the past, one, two three might just be getting smacked again. Uh, patience, patience, patience, patience. Energy is now weak financials. Maybe picking up? how's Bitcoin doing after all this craziness? after all the craziness? Check.

Disney What's going on Disney 84 Uh Disney Holding above its 48. Look it. drifting down for basically ever finding support at 79. Bouncing above that.

getting 1, two, 3, 4, five closes above its 48. Disney might be reverting here I Mean it's been so beaten down that if you're okay with risking five bucks, I mean the risk to reward the reward, that ratio is definitely favoring you. I mean at minimum you have an upside Gap fill to 100 you could. You don't even have to risk this if you wanted to, you could just risk the actual breakout bar at 83 so you could risk a dollar.

I mean obviously with risk that close, there's a higher chance of you just getting stomped out by Randomness but it I'm seeing the EMA cloud like actually try to revert back over something to pay attention to for sure. uh, opinions on WW What is WW I have What is this and other consumer services I Have no idea what this company does. The chart is kind of ugly. Uh, recently though, as in the start of 2023, higher highs, higher lows trending up, it keeps protecting itself at this 48.

EMA bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce. It's kind of close to there so maybe if you get another B I I just have no idea what this company does. doesn't pay a dividend. What? Oh Weight Watchers uh I mean the chart looks okay, but I feel like there maybe is better opportunity.

Um, there is like a health craze going on right now that if anything is just gaming like gaining steam. so I I could understand. Maybe a little bit more of like people's long-term call outs on it. but I don't think weight Watchers really entices the younger crowd.
so if anything I think it's attrition if I had to predict I I don't think it's attrition. is going to be that good. Uh, just because I don't think they're marketed to um, the younger cohort. So I think if anything, it's overall like user base.

If I had to guess is probably just going down OIC could be taking a hit on it with OIC obviously Pepsi Coca-Cola Walmart calling out that like if OIC is fixing the problem better than Weight Watchers Um, that could hit them So I'm not sure if I'm in love with it in the long term. I do like the idea of betting on health because there is the health craze, but I don't know if this is necessarily the best vehicle for it. Uh, just in my opinion. uh I haven't done the most research, but it is funny to kind of see all these recent uh OIC stories of just how like some companies are like, legitimately worried about it.

As of now, the Spy is just coasting sideways. the Cu's a essentially just coasting sideways, maybe drifting up a little bit. Uh, the options market for the Q's is not following suit though. The options Market very flat.

Uh, the Spy options are drifting down so spy drifting down Q's flat. No one's really made a move yet. we're just waiting. I see XLE taking a hit XLF taking a little bit of a hit, but nothing too crazy.

Oil Oil is is taking a hit right now, so that's why XLE is Taking a hit, Bitcoin Just pinned to 28k. now it's not moving until I Guess we get an update of what is or isn't happening. Uh, us10y. Let's pay attention to this.

Let's do the 15 minute. So yields are looking strong. The dollar is also looking strong. So I'm very very much care about what's going on with the US dollar.

Index Very, very much care of what's going on with yields. I see strength there if this contines to the upside. In fact, I'm actually surprised right now that the Spy isn't selling with this pump. Ever since 8:30 yields are pumping.

Ever since 8 900 a.m. the dollar is pumping I'm actually really surprised the Spy is holding on right now and we're even seeing this. I Mean we're seeing this right here. They're starting to drift.

Uh, the options Market is starting to bet against. Uh, for whatever reason, the Spy just the price has not followed
