It's no secret that money can be made in an assortment of ways with the stock market. However, the most common way to turn your money into more is by investing in a growth company. This sounds easy enough, but trust me it can prove to be difficult and time consuming to actually track down a stock. That's about to run or continue its current run.

Luckily, for us, the etfs offered by arc invest can help generate considerable returns and stock market expertise. Isn't needed what's going on everyone? I hope you're having a great day. My name is matt and in this video i will be discussing the five arc etfs i just invested ten thousand dollars into throughout the video. I will be covering an overview of arc, invest their investment philosophy and finally, i will be taking a more in-depth look at a handful of their etfs if you're new to the channel and enjoy this type of content join the party by hitting the subscribe button.

Don't forget to turn on your notifications, so you don't miss any of the new videos. Alrighty then, let's get started. First up is an overview of arc. Invest arc.

Invest is an asset manager that was established in january 2014. Their ceo is katherine wood. You may not have heard of her because she seems to fly under the radar, but don't let her lack of notoriety fool you. She is a legendary money manager and has the track record to prove it.

She has led arc to outperform 99 percent of other funds, and does it with style here is one of her quotes, we're all about finding the next big thing, those hewing to the benchmarks which are backwards. Looking are not about the future, they are all about. What has worked we're all about what is going to work? This statement illustrates to me how arc invest differentiates itself from the rest of the pack. They launched their first etf in september of 2014.

They now offer multiple etfs, five of which are actively managed. As a quick reminder, an etf is an exchange traded fund, but you can best think of it as a basket of stocks. When you buy an etf, you get exposure to all of the stocks within the basket. Inactive etf means there's a manager or a team making decisions of what stocks go in that basket with the goal of outperforming the market.

On the other hand, a passive etf is occasionally adjusted to match an index such as the s p, 500 or the nasdaq 100. There really isn't much more to it. There is a difference in fees between active and passive, but i will cover that later in this video. So in general, when you invest into an etf offered by arc you're investing into a group of stocks picked by a team of the industry, experts that have considerably outperformed the market over the past six years.

How great is that now to be fair, you might be wondering what makes them so special what's their secret sauce. This brings us to part two, the investment philosophy of ark. This is from the ceo herself and i think it offers an interesting insight into how they find their edge in the market. Disruptive innovation is often not priced correctly by traditional investment strategies, because people may not understand how big the ultimate opportunities are going to be.
They aren't sizing the opportunity and they aren't analyzing the disruption essentially arc invest, seeks out companies that are missed by traditional sector-based strategies, but are well positioned to prompt disruptive innovation. To make this a reality. Arc implements two unique things. First is their top-down bottom-up approach to the best of my understanding, they seek out macro trends that relate to innovation.

Then they isolate companies that are well positioned to take advantage of that trend. To make this process more successful and efficient arc invest. Has their analysts set up in a unique manner? Arcs analysts are set up by cross-sector innovation themes rather than sectors or geographies. Analysts collaborate within particular themes, as well as across themes, in order to capitalize on technological convergence.

In other words, their analysts don't focus on a specific industry such as vehicles. They focus on things such as ai or robotics. Now that we know who arc is and their investment philosophy, let's take a more in-depth look into their five etfs. I recently invested ten thousand dollars into the first up to bat is arc w, which is their next generation internet etf, the ticker is arkw and it was first launched at the end of 2014., since it is actively managed.

It does have a higher expense ratio relative to something such as the spy arc. W's expense ratio is 0.76. This means you would pay a fee of seven dollars and sixty cents for every thousand dollars invested for the same one thousand dollars invested in the spy. The fee would be less than one dollar, even though the expense ratio is relatively higher.

The magnitude is pretty small. In the scheme of things, i am happily paying this fee to have a team of experts pick out the best companies operating within the fields of cloud computing, e-commerce and big data just to name a few here is a look at this etf's top holdings. I'm sure you recognize most, if not all, of these companies. This is what arcw has returned over the past five years.

Three years, one year and year to date, relative to the s p 500 arc, w has been kicking butt next on the list is rq, which is their autonomous technology and robotics etf. The ticker is arkw and it was also created back in 2014. The expense ratio is a similar 0.75. This fund is perfect for all of you, electric vehicle lovers, the companies that go into this particular basket, focus on autonomous transportation, robotics, 3d, printing energy storage and space exploration.

This is the list of the top 10 holdings for arc q you'll notice that there is some overlap between all of these etfs, but each one does have its own flavor. When you look at the return over the past five years, three years, one year and year-to-date, rq isn't doing as well as arc w, but it's still considerably outperforming the overall market. The third etf on this list is arcf, which is their fintech innovation. The ticker for this one is arkf and the expense ratio is similar to the first two.
However, it was recently created at the start of 2019.. This etf invests in companies that have the potential to change the way the financial sector works. It's no surprise that their top holdings includes companies such as square mercado, libre zillow, apple and tencent, to name a few, because this etf is relatively new. There isn't much data on it, but its one year and year-to-date returns are pretty phenomenal.

I personally believe the financial sector is ripe for innovation, so i'm particularly excited about the future of this etf. Next on the list is arcg, which is branded as their genomic revolution etf. The ticker for this one is arkg. This etf was also launched at the end of 2014, and it has a similar expense ratio to the first.

Three companies within archie are focused on and are expected to substantially benefit from, extending and enhancing the quality of life. These businesses operate in fields which are way above my head that include crispr, molecular diagnostics and stem cells. To be honest with you, i didn't recognize any of these top holdings before buying this etf. That's what's so cool, though i am now able to benefit off of the intense research of genomic industry experts.

I'm obviously not alone, though here are the returns over the past five years. It's kind of ridiculous that the one-year return and the year-to-date return are both over 60. The final one on this list is the granddaddy of them all rk in innovation, etf. The ticker for this etf is ar kk, it's been around since 2014, and it has a similar expense ratio to the first four.

I jokingly called rk the granddaddy of them all, because this fund looks to invest in companies that could cause disruptive innovation. As you can see in its holdings, it's pretty much a mixture of the first four etfs, i'm personally a massive fan of this etf because it allows you to invest in innovation and disruption across the board. On top of that, this etf's returns over the past five years have been huge relative to the s p 500 rk is completely dominant. I hope this breakdown of who arc is their investment philosophy and their proven returns does a good job at explaining.

Why i feel comfortable investing ten thousand dollars into their etfs as a quick clarification? This is a long-term trade. For me, i plan on holding these positions for years. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me below i plan on responding to all of you if you made it this far in the video, i truly appreciate the support. Their expense ratio is 0.75%. Does that mean if I purchase $1000 worth of stock, their fee is $7.5 one time (not every year, correct)? I'm new to investing.
