If this were true than profits shouldn't be as high as they are. Profits rise with inflation in monetary inflation. Its increasing faster than inflation. Not only faster, but if you remove corporate profits we would be in a deflationary situation. After covid, companies realized they dont have to compete. They can keep production the same and just raise prices. As long as everyone does it, its a win for all corporations.
