Thank you! Hello hello hello, what is going on? What is going on? It would be a lie if I told you that just before this stream your boy was crushing some tacos and the taco juice got all over my shirt so you might be looking at me and thinking Matt are you wearing a different short than the morning show because you went to the gym and it got all sweaty because you were being healthy? No, no, that didn't happen. Um I I Sat here all day trying to figure out that trading strategy that we were discussing this morning and uh, in the midst of all that craziness Taco Juice fell upon me so it was honestly a pretty embarrassing development if you ask me. But here we are, we survived. and I I very much ascribe to the saying of like what doesn't kill you makes you stronger So obviously keep me in your thoughts, keep me in your prayers.

but uh, it looks like I'm gonna have to do some stain removing work on my shirt because if you recall, I was wearing a white shirt and it was red Taco Juice and I don't know like if I'm allowed to mix colors or if I have to do a whites only load or what stain removal stuff I should use so it's going to be what it's going to be. it's gonna be what it's gonna be. So we threw on the old trusty Rumble Jersey to see uh, how the conclusion of the day is gonna be now. obviously there's a lot of important things to talk about.

The Market's green. It's been green for a hot minute and it's rippity skippity doo-dop Obviously there was a little bit of a hiccup midday for my day traders that probably was a pain in the ass to you. but overall, the Bulls are dominating the Bulls know what's up, the Bulls are making a pretty penny. Uh, so I want to talk about that obviously I want to talk about my current positions I Want to talk about what happened today.

With respect to the CPI report, we got an inflation report an hour before the market opened. so I'm going to let you know all about that I Want to give you an update on what happened with Trump today. Uh, he was arraigned in Miami federal charges federal court. According to CNN he was arrested and I guess there is a slight legal difference between being arraigned and being arrested.

so we're going to go over that. I Want to go over some commentary from Yellen today because that Gremlin of a character always like makes me think what the fuck is going on So I want to talk about that and then I want to talk about the prep for not only tomorrow, but for the remainder of the week because this week is absolutely wild. we're gonna have some more inflation tomorrow. We're going to get the FED fund rate decision tomorrow.

Are we going to hike? Are we gonna cut? Are we going to pause? Are we going to skip and then just some stuff about student loans because a lot of people are asking me about Sofi and then I want to give you kind of the seasonality and position update for tomorrow? So obviously a jam-packed show the exact same way that my laundry is going to be today. Absolutely jam-packed because I don't know how to get stains out. but we're gonna figure it out together as a team now obviously before we get into all of it. If you haven't already, don't forget to subscribe.
Don't forget to like it. Helps out with the algorithm on both Rumble and on YouTube and become a goonie if you want to join the Goonie trading. Community It's pinned to the top of Chat. It's in the description of the video Mattcores.locals.com There's a free version.

There's a premium version I Wholeheartedly believe that the premium version is worth it. but if you're thinking to yourself: I don't know if I Trust the guy who gets Taco juice all over himself that doesn't really seem so mature doesn't seem so adult-like I Don't blame you I Wouldn't trust me either. Try it out for one month for free by putting in the code Goonie, G-o-o-n-i-e you'll get one month for free and I think you're gonna see that you enjoy it, but maybe you don't and whatever. At least we could share this Taco story.

So once again, Macross.locals.com pinned to the top of chat in the description of the video. and now let's talk about the market going rippity, skippity doo dah in the face of some inflation reports and also the 4 former president being arrested indicted. whatever the legalese differences between those two, but it is some pretty crazy stuff. Here's a quick look you see at the market I mean you could tell that I was doing some wild stuff I Know I should have taken the profits at the day Hi, we hit it.

we hit it, we hit it, we hit it, then we got smacked. We try to bounce a little bit of a liquidity grab there and then a little smack a root once again Netflix is still crushing it I took my profits on Netflix yesterday. so if you're still in it, congratulations to you! Ride the trend, Ride the trend, ride the trend. That's definitely at least how I would handle it I obviously over there ever since I got involved with Nvidia I've been knocked off my mental discipline when it comes to trading so I'm trying to refine that and honestly I feel a lot better today knowing that I got out of all the positions I didn't want to be in and now I'm just kind of riding it to see how it all plays out.

but overall, the Market's still green up half a percent, the cues up half a percent and a lot of green across the board. In fact, rum still holding 10 above 10. So really liking that a lot of individual green plays. I Hope you are absolutely crushing it.

Stocks rise as inflation levels slow to the lowest since early 2021, so the big Market story of the day was an hour before the market opened. We got the CPI report, the Consumer Price Index report and it came in lower than expected and it's more than half the level of what we saw 11 months ago. But before we get into that I Wanted to share this with you because it made me laugh for whatever reason. Therapist: Ashley Is this about a crypto? again? Yes, we can have a virtual session now I Don't know why that cracks me up, but with Pepe crying, we can have a virtual session now I I Probably should talk to Ashley myself I probably should hit her up and see what's good.
All right, before we talk about all that stuff in terms of the political landscape, especially for the people watching on Rumble right now, I'm sure you're very interested in What's Happening Here Trump Indictment Live updates Former president surrenders at Miami Courthouse ahead of arraignment on document charges. So right here Trump arrives in Florida Court to face Espionage Act charges which are definitely a grave charge for sure. So this is, uh, what's going on in Miami Everyone was tracking his plane yesterday arriving in court. Obviously he brings like all the calvary with him if you will and just a little bit of some aerial footage of what went down this afternoon.

if you leave on the East Coast but I mean the guy breaks. definitely a whole Brigade with them the whole Cavalry a barn burner of a situation I don't really know what it means but I like to say it. but anyway, you kind of get the point Now according to CNN Trump under Arrest in Federal Documents probe. So maybe you're like me and you're thinking arrest indictment, What's the difference? And apparently there is like a slight difference in the seriousness.

I Guess arresting is from a legal perspective, slightly more serious than just being indicted. Uh, if there's a lawyer in the audience, feel free to correct me. Feel free to share your information with the everyone in here right now, but just from a little bit of a Googling I Guess arresting is like kind of the next level and it somewhat insinuates the the likelihood of the person who's being indebted or arrested in this case arrested. Not so good.

but I do want you to know as of now obviously Trump Completely disavows the entire thing. Trump Indictment Live updates Ex-president pleads not guilty once again Ex-president Donald J Trump pleads not guilty to criminal charges over classified documents. To my understanding, the whole situation goes like this: well hang on if I did what Biden is doing what Pence did why am I the one getting in trouble? And then the main argument against that seems to be something in the line of intent because Biden and Pence when they realized they had documents, it was more of like hey, you guys should come get this well Trump Allegedly I I'm not trying to make anyone mad here I'm just trying to share the information. uh, wasn't so expedient in his turning over of documents.

Will this go anywhere? I Have no idea I know a lot of you, Look at me and you're like that. looks like a guy who doesn't drip Taco juice all over himself. probably a guy who knows a lot about law, but in fact it's the opposite I Just today spilled Taco juice all over myself and was forced to switch my very fancy suit into this very fancy Jersey before I came on to stream. So I know that my looks, they make you feel a certain way about me like a guy who's really put together has this shit together there.
But in fact it's not that it's just how I was born and how I always look. but the opposite is in fact the truth. so that's where we are. There's really, from my understanding, no other major updates today.

Obviously over the following days we're gonna have updates related to this so I'll keep you in tune because it is a major thing that an ex-president is getting charged with Federal like misdoing. So obviously I'll keep you updated. but this is the the most recent updates at least as of the time that we're filming this all together. The other person who somewhat stood on trial today and not in such a serious manner was the smeagle character Gremlin The Treasury Secretary Yeah, Congress instructs Janet Yellen to have the treasury and Federal Reserve make preparations and be on the ready for a situation where China dumps all the U.S treasuries overnight.

So this is kind of just like I guess stoking the potential tension between us and China which is kind of interesting because you could argue over the past month tension is that is actually simmer down a little bit. but um, leave it to our government to just reignite them. Top exercise and in response to sanctions sorry I can't make it louder I'll just be quiet Scenario where there will be an invasion of Taiwan The scenario was that China the second largest foreign creditor of U.S treasuries. Uh, would dump that 859 billion dollars in treasury Securities How are you working with our allies internationally and also the Federal Reserve Uh, uh to deal with a situation where China would dump that volume of Treasury Securities overnight so that we are not engaging in specific Um exercises to address address such a risk.

But the United, the United States the National Security Council is certainly concerned on an ongoing basis. Madam Secretary I would encourage treasury to to make preparations and and and be be on the ready. uh for that scenario and work with beyond the ready. Is it actually mean anything? Probably not.

It's just like more so stoking fear and Chaos because that's what our government does and it's also a nice reminder that our country is led by a bunch of geriatrics who I would assume need help out of bed in the morning. And it's nothing against geriatrics I Don't want to be accused of ageism, but when you're leading the most powerful country in the world, it's kind of nice to know that like your brain elasticity is where it like, at least close to its peak. Uh, not obviously on the decline like I'm not here to besmirch the the golden years here. but let's admit it, when you're of this age, your brain's not working the exact same way it did like a couple decades beforehand.
And this isn't just a smack on Yelling, it's a smack on politicians in general. I Mean, have you seen those pictures of Feinstein It's crazy. It's borderline geriatric abuse. What we do to these people keeping them in their positions.

What's that market breaking out? Slightly To the upside, let's see what it actually brings. Big economic news as I was alluding to earlier. today was the inflation report. We got the Consumer Price Index report an hour before the market opened and it came in lower than expected.

It came in at four percent, the expectation was 4.14 for the CPI year over year. We also have a thing referred to as core CPI which is CPI but not looking at food, not looking at an energy that came in at 5.3 and the expectation was in fact 5.3 So that number is higher right now and it's proving to be a bit more quote unquote sticky, which is probably going to lead to the FED in the future I'm not saying tomorrow, but in the future. probably the end of July raising the FED fund rate once again. But before we get into more detail about that, here's the inflation breakdown for May of 2023 in one chart.

So you can kind of see the things that are costly. the things that are dropping. So motor vehicle repair up almost 20 percent pet food up almost 14. I Know we all love our Fuzzy Friends um, print of primary residence still up 8.7 At least the ice cream is only up eight.

but I mean your boy loves ice cream. So I wish that was going down the other way if you look at food at home. so up 5.8 electricity at 5.9 But we do have some things dropping such as milk, used cars and trucks they're coming down. they were Sky High at one point current truck rentals coming down, gasoline coming down quite a bit, and health insurance also coming down quite a bit So some positive, some negatives.

Overall, the trend is to the downside, but it's not happening as quickly as most people, especially the FED would like it to happen. U.S Inflation reports suggests: Fed rate pause will become a full stop. Don't know about that. So basically we have four options at the FED meeting.

The Fomc meeting starts today, concludes tomorrow. We get the results at 2 pm. ET Of course I'll be streaming it and then Jerome Powell the chairman of the FED will be speaking publicly at 2 30. of course I'll be streaming that.

There's four options. Basically, we jack up the FED fund right. We drop it, we pause, or we skip As of now. The biggest suggestion for all this: based on just how the Market's reacting, how the economy is reacting.

The commentary from the voting Fomc members, the voting from the I guess not even the voting. The commentary from the non-voting members, What the media is saying. Everyone right now is pretty much looking at the fact that we're gonna have a skip as in no rate hike tomorrow, but most likely in July. So once again, just so you know, the meeting starts today.
Tuesday The 13th concludes tomorrow Wednesday The 14th We get the results at 2 p.m ET two hours before the market closes and then Jerome Powell will be speaking at 2 30.. Yes, I will be streaming the whole thing. But in terms of the numbers as of now, there is a 94.2 percent chance that there's no rate hike. Currently, the FED fund rate is at five percent.

There's a 94 chance better than the 9 out of 10 times that there's no rate change tomorrow, because obviously they don't want to overdo it. But on the flip side, they don't want to underdo it. Which is exactly why if you fast forward to the next Fomc meeting July 26th, you're going to see that there's about in between the two chances: either 25 bips or 50 bips, there's about a 63 64 percent chance that yes, we'll get some form of rate hike at only a 35 36 chance that it actually remains unchanged in July So why am I sitting here telling you that most likely this will play out kind of obviously opposite of what Bloomberg's telling us? Well, it's because of course CPI last time around, it came in at 5.5 This time around, it came in at 5.3 percent that it's moving down. Hey, I'll give them yeah, a nice nod, a nice firm handshake, and say congratulations on the trend.

but it's still too sticky. It's still too high. Shelter is still very high. We're showing that certain aspects of inflation are far more sticky than the FED ever imagined.

We are not at the inflation levels currently where they thought we would be. A year ago, they thought we would Trend more rapidly they thought We would Trend with higher quality. they thought inflation would be less sticky I mean fuck. A year and a half ago we were told that this whole thing was transitory.

not to worry about it at all. The fact that course API is still sitting above five percent really does show that the Fed and many other people involved misjudged the situation. So I'll give them a little bit of Applause maybe like an indoor Library golf clap of Hey, at least you figured something out. At least we're not at that 9.1 percent we used to be at with the June reading a month ago, which we got in July So that kind of does add to this next July one to just see how we've come in a year.

So a little bit of just an intricacy there. but overall the fact that Core is sticky. obviously the FED has to keep doing something I Do not think we are out of the woods yet in this whole inflation battle. so I just wanted to share my thoughts.

but as of tomorrow at 2PM my full expectation is that we get no Fed rate hike. But I don't think it's a pause I think it's a skip to the July meeting and I think that's exactly what Jerome Powell is going to be insinuating at the 2 30 p.m conference. Just wanted to share that now also in this whole Fed inflation economy, that type of a thing. the federal student loan pause ends.
September 1st How you can Get ready So I just wanted to note this because it also somewhat was in play with the whole debt ceiling For about a year and a half two years, no one's really been paying on their student loans. It looks as if that's going to stop. And yeah, there are going to be some winners. There's also going to be some losers.

So for example, a big winner From this, the fact that people are going to have to start paying again is so far. and that's exactly why Sofi has been running from almost four dollars all the way up to where we are now almost doubled in price 103 gain 450 all the way up to almost 10. So far is ripping because people are going to have to start paying back their student loans. so that's interesting and obviously there's going to be some winners.

but I Wanted to share some thoughts on this one of how this just means less disposable income in the economy All of a sudden if you have people who weren't paying before of just like every single whatever month now they're paying an extra two, three, four, five hundred dollars. I Don't know whatever the average student loan payment will be. That is money that's not going into the economy. That is money that will not be showing up on the bottom line revenue of many, many companies which is also in a weird way in my mind lining up.

Why the second half of this year is not going to be so Bueno I Get it. I Sound like a Negative Nancy I Sound like a pissed off Peter who got Taco juice all over his favorite black and white shirt I Get it. I Know that I sound like that, but let's be realistic for a second, the growth that a lot of companies are expecting in the second half of the year. It's kind of hard to see where that's going to be coming from unless AI continues to boom.

Right now, the gains in the S P 500 is essentially attributed to seven different companies if you take those out, we haven't been doing the best, and all of a sudden, if these AI numbers really don't deliver, that's not so good. Also, on top of that, now, with the student loan payments restarting, that's going to be a lot of money that's not flowing into the economy. it's flowing to the government. And don't forget, the FED is still being hawkish.

Even if we stop raising these rates, that doesn't mean they're going to cut them. We're still enduring quantitative tightening. We're not doing easing anymore. Interest rates aren't at zero.

This is a very restrictive environment, and to think that companies such as Apple or Microsoft or Nvidia should be ripping, they're just simply overextended now. I Know there's some nuanced ones like yeah, it makes sense that sofa is ripping it Honestly, to me, makes sense that Netflix is ripping because we're going to get some sort of portion of a hundred million users who are not paying before some person is going to start using them. So it makes sense to me that certain companies are performing right now. But to talk about the economy as a whole, to think that this is like the moment to get in because we're going to continue Rip City From here and I'm talking from now to the end of the year I Just don't see it.
So for some of you who are maybe playing those longer dated calls and you got into them today, you might be thinking, but for some of you who are thinking, oh man, did I miss the ship should I have already invested I Don't think so I Think we're going to be given plenty of opportunity between now and the end of the year to get solid low cost bases on some of our Cornerstone Keystone investments in our long-term account, so just wanted to share all that. Now speaking specifically about this week, obviously tomorrow 2PM we get the Fomc decision 230 Jerome Powell will be speaking but an hour before the Market opens, we get another inflation report. Instead of the Consumer Price Index we get the producer price index. Obviously, you guys know what that's all about.

I will be streaming it. so tomorrow's stream will be early, will start around 8, 15, 8, 20 in the morning on Thursday We're going to get retail sales in the normal initial jobless claims and then on Friday we get the consumer sentiment and two fed speakers will be speaking so the rest of the week. Obviously, it's going to be a fun one. And now with a respect from a quantitative standpoint to tomorrow, this is a look at the equity curve over the past 25 years for Wednesday June 16th.

Buying it open. Selling it close does slightly favor the bulls. The bulls have won this day. 52.

Slightly better than flipping a coin The Profit Factor is 1.24 for every dollar spent. a dollar 24 is returned. So it pays to be a bull. And obviously the bias is slightly leaning towards the Bulls.

I'm not going to say it's absurdly favoring the Bulls, but there is a slight bias favoring the Bulls. Nothing too crazy. This is not a guarantee. Like I said, slightly better than flipping a quarter, but yet there is a slight Edge there.

Now in terms of everything I had prepared for you, that's essentially where I'm at the market popped a little bit, showing a bit of weakness here Nvidia Ripping Netflix Ripping Tesla ripping. but the Spy itself just chilling a little bit. Let's bring up the cues just to see where they're at. The cues are even pushing a bit more.

I Do have that Futures account. How am I doing Currently down ten dollars? Currently down Ten dollars. So uh, that? Futures Trading strategy that I was discussing with you this morning when we're looking at fair value gaps and buy liquidity runs. Stop.

Liquidity runs like that type of stuff. like untested areas imbalances if you will I was messing around with it all day today and this actually led to the Taco incident. Um, but my Futures account I haven't been using in a while. at least the one on tradestation I've more so been using the Ninjatrader one.
uh, that one when I looked at it this morning had seven eight hundred dollars and as of now I've doubled it up like uh, maybe it was just a fluke of a day. Maybe I just got absurdly lucky, but I was just scaling into imbalance areas, scaling out of other imbalance areas I played it in a bullish manner I played it in a barish manner, but right now I locked in 763 dollars I'm currently down with the open position down 70. So basically up 70 bucks on the day which uh, hey, I'm a fan I'll take 700 bucks, why not? Uh, helps me start paying off some of those dumb spy and Q and Nvidia puts that just are continually blowing up in my face. which really I want to take a moment to talk about that with all of you? A golden golden golden reminder that markets can remain illogical longer than you can remain solvent right now.

Is the market by most objective measures over value? Yeah, yeah. Clearly no fundamental breakdown is really like arguing that. but that's the point. The point is, things can be overvalued and they can remain overvalued to essentially the day after you blow up.

And then of course, at that point, they're going to revert to the price that they should be at. So I got myself into a mental situation where I'm like, wow, everything's overvalued. We've ripped a lot. It's time for a bit of mean reversion and it just didn't happen.

And granted, I did get out after my wrist broke. Unfortunately, we gapped above my wrist. so I took on a little bit larger of a loss than I really wanted to. But if anything, it is a solid, solid reminder of the game that is the markets.

Not everything is logical. Not everything is going to have this fundamental fair value. Which brings me to my main point of what really matters. If you were listening to me this morning, you know the answer is price action.

Look for Trend The trend is your friend. Look for breakouts. Look for breakdowns. Look for fake out breakouts.

Look for fake out breakdowns. Look for rejections. Look for bounces. Look for reasonable risk reward setups.

And for me, even though I believe the risk of reward was reasonable, it was just I was arbitrarily trying to say hey, I think the trend switches now I didn't wait for the trend to switch. It's one thing to be predictive in the market and maybe you just have the Midas touch and you know what's up. It's a completely different thing to be reactive where you're looking at the current price action and you're saying hey, if I go with on whatever time frame the trend is now my risk. Is this my potential reward? is this? or are you accepting of it? Looking at my trades, that's where things went awry for me.

was even though I had a solid risk, I had a solid reward and I thought things were fundamentally overvalued I didn't wait for the market to actually show weakness I threw on a bearish bet before obviously it was time to throw on a bearish bat and yeah, I got a little bit too into seasonality and I still like that tried I would take it again because the odds do favor me, but I would have sized down just because the market was ripping without really showing any signs of weakness. So I think that's healthy to do I think it's healthy to do a review of the technical I guess execution of your trade but also the psychological execution of your trade. And for me, where it fell apart and even sometimes you can have good trades that just don't work out, that's going to be an aspect of trading. Not every good trade is defined on making money.
A good trade is defined by sticking to your plan. And yeah, by that definition I had a good trade because I stuck to my plan. but the plan itself could have been improved because I did not wait for the market to show weakness. So I hope that makes sense I hope that maybe resonates with at least one person listening to me right now.

And on that note, we do have about three minutes until market closes. So I would love to turn it over to you just to see questions, comments, concerns. Do you mean looking very exciting? Ryan is a boss. So what's going on with Gme right now? Gme Gme Gme House Gme.

So uh, it took a large hit. It's up ten percent. Uh, it. it's back to where it should be above its earnings I suppose.

So it took a gap down because it was crazy stuff with his earnings. like fired the CEO like moments before put it on pause. but uh, we put in four back to back to back to back green days and now it's actually above that day. Currently trading at 27 a bounce off of 20.

I mean that's almost a 50 gain. What's that like? a 40 gain? 32 percent gain? How high did it get today? Almost 40 percent? 36 percent at one point. Uh, so pretty nice gain I mean I still have my Gme I'm just sitting in it Uh, I'm not actively trading it I haven't played options on it in Forever same thing as AMC I'm just in it I just have it and I hope it works out. Uh, any thoughts on AMC I Don't have any special thoughts on AMC or Gme? Uh, I mean I hope they do some I don't even have them on my watch list anymore.

Um, oop, that's Aamc. Uh AMC it's not even above five dollars I mean GM is in the short term obviously performing better. Um, well. if there's any major news, obviously I'll cover it, but there's not too much going on with either of them that excite me at the moment.

I Think there's more exciting opportunities in terms of capital efficiency elsewhere in the market. I mean the overall: Market's making crazy moves Netflix Nvidia Uh, Tesla are all making crazy moves now if you have unlimited Capital which none of us do, yeah, you could play Everything But At a certain point, we have a finite amount of capital and you have to put it in the market where you think the most efficient places are. No. I Do admit, obviously Gme's move over the past four days is impressive.
but I mean AMC hasn't done anything I mean AMC it's gone from 460 to five dollars I Just that doesn't really matter to me. Sofi is an interesting one I Feel like I've missed it unfortunately. uh I I've been tracking it and I feel a little silly for not getting a piece of the action. Uh, but I mean it feels chasing now to get in that 950 when not long ago it was sub five dollars.

So if you're in it, ride the trend I hope you crush it. Uh, it makes sense to me the Catalyst that's going on. But also there's the risk of what if somehow the government like stalls it. once again, if the government stalls student loan payments again, sofa is going to take a massive massive hit.

So with that risk, considering how far it's run I just don't know what I would anchor it off of. so if you're in it, hey, congrats to you I hope you ride it I hope you crush it I really really do. It's just I miss my opportunity and I guess I'm trying to be more specific about that type of stuff because it's recently some of this chasing that like got me into trouble. So I don't feel like really doing that anymore.

Uh, what else do we have? Uh, be the market this year up ten percent not grabbing your attention DRS Home brother uh what did we just do? uh, beating the market this year 10 and not grabbing your attention DRS yeah you could DRS but like it's it's one thing if you're talking like what, what are you pitching about Gme right now if your pitch is that, it's going to squeeze again. No, the short interest isn't there. The free money from the government's there. There's many things that are not there that make the situation far more difficult if you're talking about it as a fundamental investment.

I Just think there's better fundamental Investments than Gme. Uh, there's exponentially more fundamental, like better fundamental Investments than AMC from a just purely fundamental standpoint. So it's like, what's your thesis like this concept of continually chasing the short squeeze. Aren't you guys fucking tired of it? Like folks, It's years later years later.

At this point, if you're still trying to just like I guess Chase The Squeeze Like I mean have at it. but I'm not gonna waste my time on it like you're just fucking. you're dog chasing your tail. At this point, a little silly if you ask me.
