What's going on moon gang, i'm coming at you with a little bit of a different video, i figured since the markets are closed and i don't know much about crypto. I wanted to research one that i see a lot of people talking about and just share what i found out, and hopefully it makes a little bit more sense to you. As you can see, this one will be particularly about cardano and i don't know what we could call this type of a segment. Let's call it crypto talk with cores or crypto cores or something along that line, but basically this one.

I want to dive into what cardano is, if you haven't heard of it before why it's token ada is running like crazy and a little bit of other interesting things that i found out about it so cardano their tagline, making the world work better for all. Now, if you look into any crypto project, they all have, they all have really talented skillful copywriters i mean they all sound. Very, very impressive. Cardano is a blockchain platform for change makers, innovators and visionaries, with the tools and technologies required to create possibility for the many.

As well as the few and bring about positive global change now, a lot of people talk the talk, but they don't necessarily walk the walk, and i do think that cardano falls through on both of those recently cardano in africa. Ethiopian schools will use cardano blockchain to track student performance, that's about 5 million students and they really do. If you listen to their creator right here, charles hoskinson. He does really seem to be a generous altruistic person, and i honestly think these are their goals and i kind of fingers crossed that they follow through on all of them.

There's a good chance, though, that you're watching this, because cardano is the blockchain and then its token ada is running like a madman. In fact, this recent bull run from july 21st into this very moment. It's up 150 percent past week, it's up 36 past month. It's up 99 from the start of this calendar year.

To this very moment it is up over 1 300 and, as you can see, it just made a new all-time high. So i wanted to let you know of why it's going so crazy and with this part, we're gon na have to get into some of the technical things, but i think it's pretty interesting and it's good for us to all know so right now, there's a lot Of social excitement and sentiment for cardano's alonso people are saying it's a sure thing. What you need to know is they are trying to implement new smart contract functionality. First thing here, you might be like well, okay, that sounds cool.

What's a smart track, a smart track, a smart contract is an automated agreement, written in code that tracks verifies and executes the binding transactions of a contract between various parties. I know that's a lot of words i just threw at you. Let me put it another way. If you're buying a car a house there there's a lot of steps involved in the process, you are there's various contracts assigned getting money, there's just too many steps and smart contracts make it way way easier, incredibly easier, and in fact that is why that's one of The main things of why ethereum is so popular, it's one of the first ones with smart contracts.

Let me describe this another way, so there's considered generically to be three generations of crypto generation. One is bitcoin. It's thought to be a digital gold store of value. Then you have generation two generation, two is things such as ethereum, it's better and because it has these smart contracts and that's where you're gon na get into d5 projects nfts all the works, really cool stuff.

That gets a lot of people excited and it can generate quite a bit of money, as we've seen, i'm sure you've heard all those headlines well, cadarno is now generation three and the difference between two to three has to do a lot with speed: scalability uh, its Environmental impact, how secure it is, and that is really the difference between proof of work and proof of stake, it's more secure, it's more scalable and it's also more environmentally friendly. So with this, the big like obviously me saying all that i get it, it sounds awesome. So just so you know there is some pushback. Some people don't think that alonso is going to go, live right now.

The penciled in date is september, 12, 2021. But just so you know the creator of cardano charles hoskinson, who i mean right there. I was listing a lot of similarities with ethereum. Both are all about smart contracts and really the difference is that ethereum is proof of work, and just so you know their little caveat to this conversation is ethereum.

2.0 is going to try to take care of those problems and also most likely move over to proof of stake, and cardano is proof of stake. In fact, it's the first. It's not the first proof of stake, but it's the first one that actually has been peer. Reviewed and accepted by people that have expertise in cryptology, so that is obviously going to be pretty important.

But right now one of the big things is: will alonso actually go live and right here as of saturday august 21st, charles hoskinson, who he came on and explained he's like yeah right now, like obviously things can pop up that they're not expecting, but right now their Schedule is in alignment with all of their goals, so that is, i don't know i i recommend you watch this video it made me. Not only was i learning quite a bit of what was going on, but it i almost found it to be comforting right now. Just to be completely honest, i do have a small cardano position. I got it a while ago.

Didn't really know what was going on so even for myself and i guess a bit of a selfish manner, this little deep dive. I did into cardano and ada and all this proof of work proof of stake. What's going on specifically with alonzo for me like, even though it's a small position, it made me way more comfortable in the future. I guess trajectory of cardano and i it sounds like.

Not only are they on a good path, but it sounds like the team is being run by a bunch of great people and i really hope that they're successful. But i guess hope is one thing, but i think the scoreboard charles's history with ethereum. What's going on with cardano, i mean it's starting to obviously gain some traction and we see that right in the stock price. Now i do want to say one thing: this isn't really specific to crypto i mean you could apply this to crypto future stocks.

There is something to be said about the old adage of buy the rumor sell. The news this run-up is in people's excitement that they will follow through on alonso and it very might end up being one of those things. If you buy the rumor, the event happens, maybe for whatever reason, if it messes up, obviously it'll go down, but maybe just the actual event isn't going to be as exciting as people thought it would uh. For example, we saw this with the run-up in doge, with elon musk doge was running, running running all the way up to the saturday night light thing, and then it came down and there's so many stories like that of buy the rumor sell the news for me.

I'm not gon na do that at all. I'm just gon na hold it. I'm gon na hold it, because that's what i've been doing for a couple months now and i plan on just continuing to hold it for years and years and years for me. I don't want to actively trade it.

I view it as years down the road i'll either be very right or very wrong, but no matter what it is. I don't think cardinal i know will be trading anywhere close to the value that we're currently seeing for you.
