Bankman freed allegedly bribed one or more Chinese officials of course to free up about a billion dollars in crypto. Okay, he then allegedly used that money to fund other bad bets in other words, bribe someone, get the money to keep another alleged fraud going. Apparently the FTX employees tried to get China to unlock the money in other ways, but failed. So they reverted according to the allegations to good old-fashioned bribery and apparently it worked.

The accounts were unlocked and the bribery works. If these allegations turn out to be true and he is found guilty, it adds another huge layer to what may turn out to be one of the biggest crimes ever perpetrated on American investors.
