If they brinfg movie theatres into rhis current century with motion seating and smells to duplicate things in the movie with an actual experience of more rhen just sitting in a chair it would be a whole new ball game.
As home theater technology has improved and the price of going to the theater has risen sharply over the years there's just less and less of a compelling reason to go. I'm sorry but it's just the truth.
The Theater shall flourish as long as singles require a "safe" Date. As well, a safe place to "dump off" your kids!
I would go see any movie except for a Disney film , the company is evil.
You couldn’t pay me to go back to a theatre. The biggest ducking ripoff in the world
the cost of a ticket is almost 10 bucks, say you have a family of 4, that's 40 bucks, then add in candy and drinks that's probably around 60 bucks. vs. you can stream your content, and the video quality is HD and above, unfortunately, I can see a big chunk being taken away from that market over a period of time. 🤷♂
People go to the cinemas not only for the movie itself but also the experience, the atmosphere, to get out of the house and do something. Cinemas are not dead.
So what we don't care others have said worse. Buy and hodl. Meet Kevin Jr still at it.
Maybe New York City isn't a good barometer for the country, but the movie theaters are a lot fuller than 6-9 months ago. I don't tend to see blockbusters but 2nd and 3rd tier movies seem very well attended but not sold out like before. I go to a low-rent theater in the Bronx sometimes and there are more people there than before covid.

To Mr. Iger, I would focus more on running Disney, making good content than talking BS. Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness was a sad movie, Buzz Lightyear was boring AF, Mulan (2020) sucked balls, not even Mickey Mouse cartoon is a hit. I would be worried once the older generations are gone. The new generations prefer to watch other kids playing games on YouTube, so who knows if the movie theaters or Disney will be the first to go. I only can say that the new generations are still enjoying the movie theaters, as for Disney content not much. You may want to go back to the original Disney roots. The current Disney is just milking the old GOOD content with remakes that focus on political ideologies.

Action movies are always better on the BIG screen!! Movies are not going anywhere!!
If there any decent movies to go see the theaters would be doing better , but Hollywood is trash.

I love going to the movies and always have 🍿 🎫 but as cost rises and at-home screens get bigger and even into VR, I only see the major titles in theaters now. With that said, I only go to AMC IMAX 👍

Just came from the best movie theatre i've ever been to in my life in Dublin called Stella Cinemas. They had beds, couches, and arm chairs. Along with alcohol and a classy art deco vibe.

I remember straight to DVD ordeal. It didn’t bode well and that was within a singular lifetime. AMC is DIW because it’ll become a thing of nostalgia, unless you want a place to take girl to make out with.

I've always said they should show TV-Series such as GOT in theaters. Exclusive theater release a week before it's available to stream
