Catti Na life. So anyway, we're going to watch the Michigan Fed numbers. Those come out at 10: a.m. There are fed speakers throughout the day.

We're pretty much at the end of earning season. There's two main earnings I'm going to be paying attention to for the remainder of the month. on Monday we hear from Rumble shout out to everyone watching on Rumble and then on Tuesday November 21st two weeks out we're going to be hearing from Nidia which actually had a crazy good day yesterday because they think they've come up with a way where they can successfully sell CPUs to China so we'll be getting to that. Nvidia Ripping to the upside.

On the flip side of that, we actually have Tesa getting crushed. But then Microsoft is ripping to the upside. So there's a lot going on in the world of the Magnificent 7even and just what's going on in highflying stock. But obviously we should also talk about the overall Market the Spy the cues, what's going on with bonds, what's going on with yields.

And for those of you who are big Crypto supporters ERS Crypto's ripping man eth is looking good. potential spot eth ETF coming out Bitcoin's holding 36 37k Even my Pepe my degenerate Pepe investment is somehow now into the green which I should probably sell and just convert over to Bitcoin at this point. Uh, but Pepe Absolutely crushing it. So we have a lot going on.

We have a lot going on. and before I give you a breakdown I'm going to forget about it. So let me just start the poll now. So I am asking you mark Market at Open I'm not asking you what the day will be I'm asking you the very first minute of the market from 9:30 to 9:31 Do you think that the Market's going to be green? or do you think that the Market's going to be red? uh, whatever.

Uh, so when that's out, I'll be able to pull you guys as well. but when the time a little bit closer I'm just going to ask you like 925 92 I'll be like yo what's up Um, on that note, let's take a little looky see at the market market getting crushed yesterday. The Tldr of what happened yesterday was at 100 p.m.

100 p.m. Eastern time. We got the results of the 30-year treasury bond auction. They sold under 50% which in the world of fixed income is a big big Miss and that dropped the market.

People were like whoa whoa whoa Why is there not demand for the 30-year Bond If there's not demand for that, That's basically saying there's not that much trust in the system for the next 30-year period. What's going on with the government? Yada yada, yada. So that caused bonds to drop and also yields to spike. And obviously in this circumstance, when we're seeing bonds drop and yield spike in the current phase of monetary policy, that's equivalent to downward pressure on the equities market.

So that's why out of no nowhere at 1:00 P.m. we saw a jolt to the downside that continued for the remainder of the day. Uh, things got even a little bit more exciting around 2 P.m. because that's when the chairman of the FED Jerome Pal had a public conference I believe with the IMF and honestly, we'll go over what he said.

But the truly exciting part of it was when he said close the effing door because there were once again more climate protesters there which I don't get why there's climate protesters coming after Dr Pal This isn't like commentary on like climate or climate change, it's just more of commentary. He has literally nothing to do with energy policies or energy regulations like at all. so they're kind of trying to get the attention and yell at a dude who has nothing to do with climate at all. So obviously he got angry and then you heard his hot mic where he's like closed the effing door which Honestly made my day.

So I'm here for it. But anyway, yesterday a red day really all developed in the second half half of the day. Today your guess is as good as mine. I Think the easy trade is to the downside, but first we'd have to see some bearishness.

So if there's only bullishness at open, it's just going to be more of a difficult trading. Friday But once again, you guys know me and I'm not saying that this is the appropriate style for everyone, but I like to wait the first 10 15, 20, 30 minutes just to see how the Market's opening. especially on a Friday where we have the Michigan expectations coming out at 10:00 a.m. and on top of that, it's just a big options expiration day.

So for me I there's enough money to be made from 10: a.m. to 4 p.m. I don't need to feel the pressure to get in right at 9:30 I'm not going to be missing the best of an opportunity I Might miss on some opportunities, but over the long run over many, many trades I believe with my trading style that it's beneficial to wait for the market to truly open, but once again, those are just one man's opinions. All right.

So let's see what the world of mainstream Finance media want you to know about today. S&P 500 futures are little changed on Friday after higher bond yields spur selloff. Once again, this all went down because of a pretty disastrous 30-year treasury bond auction. The results came out at 1: P.m.

yesterday. they didn't even hit 50% of what they were tendering. Not good. The S&P 500 had its longest winning streak in two years.

Here are the stocks that led the run. It's going to be talking about the High Flyers particularly Invidia and I Want to get into that? but if we look at the daily chart first major red day I mean we went on a 1, 2, 3, 4, five, 6, seven eight day win streak. We were looking good for nine. Then we got the bullish engulfing.

Channel If you've candle excuse me, not a channel a candle. That's when you have a higher high than the previous high and then you end up closing below the previous low. So it's kind of a whipsaw thing where you're looking really strong. and then something happens where you sell off hard and it completely engulfs the previous candle.

And since it closed downward, that's why it's called a bearish engulfing candle. Anyway, this is thought to be obviously a bearish development, which gets me pretty interested in the concept of the downside Gap fill to 43092 which is the high from Thursday of last week. Also, another bit of a weird strange whipsaw day. uh, when you compare the Spy to the acces.

But anyway, that's besides the point. So if there is bearishness today and I'm not saying there's going to be your guesses as good as mine I'd be looking at this downside Gap fill of 43092. But first, it would have to snap kind of this shelf flow at 433. So I'm watching 433 followed by 431.

That's to the downside. obviously. right now in pre-market trading, we're making a decent recovery. So I'd be watching 436.

it's just some recent support. and then past that, I'd be watching maybe 437 438 somewhere a little bit higher. So as of now from 6:30 this morning until this exact point, the spy in the Qes have been recovering. Will it hold once again? I'm not making that guess cuz it doesn't really matter.

I'm just going to let the price action tell me what to do anyway. Uh, S&P 500 was on a nice streak longest streak since 2021. similar thing with the Q's and then just between the dis disastrous Bond auction yesterday and also just pal pal says fed is not confident has done enough to bring inflation down. Um, all of a sudden he went from being a bit more dobish last week to now he's leaning back more into the hawkish side.

and in the current phase of monetary policy, the stock market is interpreting doish to be bullish and hawkishness to be bearish. So he went from being very, very hawkish recently sounding a bit more dovish, and now if you listen to his commentary at the IMF conference yesterday sounded a bit more hawkish. Again, not absurdly hawkish, but something to note in terms of today at 10: A.m. ET today we're going to be getting the Michigan expectations.

So the one year the 5year consumer consumer sentiment these four reports come out at 10:00 a.m. and I don't know why. On investing, they have like a a two star implication moderate volatility. When recently, they've definitely been worthwhile to like call out as a three star excuse me that comes out at 10 A.m.

today, a half hour into the trading day. Please pay attention to it since we're talking about major macroeconomic events, this is for the upcoming week, but on Tuesday we get the CPI numbers, on Wednesday we get the PPI numbers and retail sales, and then later in the week I'm Friday we get the CPI numbers coming out of the Euro zone. So next week we're going to be getting big, big big updates on the current state of inflation or really the state of inflation in the month of October. Uh, you get the CPI, the PPI retail sales, and then also CPI for the Euro zone.

So Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are all going to be pretty exciting days for next week. Speaking of that, don't forget to sign up for the newsletter Mc. Uh, but what I want to talk about is the seasonality update Today, Pretty much neutral, it was trending down. This is how the S&P 500 futures Market performed on this individual day over the past 25 years.

buying at open selling at Clos slowly but surely drifting down for about 23 of the years and then over the past two years skyrocketing higher. For the past one year skyrocketing higher. So kind of an interesting day. If if we didn't have last year's data, I would been like yeah, leaning a bit bearish.

But then considering this kind of I don't know undoing itself and that's why I would say today uh, from a seasonal basis is neutral. No seasonality guarantee? No, it's it tells you Like if you're a little bit better, a little bit worse than flipping a coin, the Bulls have won this day 54% of the time. Equity curve looks a little bit weak, looks a little bit strange. So the way I would interpret this and this is just once again my opinions.

I'm not telling you what to do. it's your money I'm not your mom. It's neutral like in my trades today. I'm basically just saying I'm not considering seasonality to be benefiting me or to be hurting me.

It's just not really coming in my equation today. Five things to not before that: stock market Bell goes dingy ding ding ding today Friday November Nomber 10th snapped. We had a nice winning streak To the upside yesterday in both the Spy and the Q's it ended up breaking it. Not confident this is just a super sad looking chair of the FED Mr Jerome Pal Uh, he's probably just like man I'm going to get yelled at because I Swore at the climate protesters yesterday but basically saying hey, uh, this inflation ordeal is not a done deal.

We still have very serious things to take control of. So he he's he's right to not be confident. Uh. new thresholds.

This is the IRS and what's going down And um, are we going to get the new agents? Are we not going to get the new agents? How much money can you put into your retirement? How much you can't So if you're a big tax retirement account person, something to pay attention to seeding his seat? Joe Mansion uh, what's he West Virginia I Want to say yeah? West Virginia Uh, so they're saying he actually might be running? Uh, so like that's why he's um Senator Joe Mansion won't run for re-election in 2024 for clearing a path for the GOP to clean majority in next year's senate elections a conservative Democrat who's become highly critical of Joe Biden's policy so uh, making some moves there and they're like okay, is this setting up for the next leg in his political career? uh, little Side Story that I just want to bring up I have a couple Side Stories I Want to run through this morning? Uh, and this is just a stock that I've said this before I'm going to probably have to say it again. it is a stock that you apparently just cannot bet against because in every moment we like dude Nvidia is going to get crushed shoulder, head, shoulder neckline breakdown doesn't matter, it's a fake out ends up ripping to Kingdom Come Even this like it, just it just does not stop. Nvidia is a monster you I don't know I just it doesn't seem that you can ever actually benefit from betting against Nvidia blows my mind and the recent push higher is because of this. Nvidia will reportedly sell new Chips to China that still meet Us rules.

So October of last year the Bidon administration made a lot of sanctions against giving these high performance chips to China uh and these chips are used for AI uh data centers Esports crypto and they basically said hey because of the AI part we don't want you to be benefiting them in like growing their technical capabilities. So these sanctions were on the the entire semiconductor industry for companies in the US So Nedia said okay we hear you, we'll make a less powerful CPU So they did that and then this October they said uh-uh honey you can't even sell those to China and when that came out that was this drop right here because they were working on it, they spent a lot of money and it was just like clearly a revenue driver if they could sell it to China and this is where it got cracked and a lot of people were like well on that news and on the price action and the technical breakdown. Nvidia's finally going to fall and then guess what we have this, they figure out a way to do it anyway. us Chipm Giant NV Video has reportedly found a way to sell high-end chips to Chinese companies while remaining compliant with Us restrictions Nvidia set to deliver in coming days three new Chips to domestic manufacturers Chinese Financial Media Uh Press has said on Thursday Nvidia the US Department of Commerce and the Bureau of in industry and security did not immediately respond to CNBC for requests for comment.

Now just because it meets the current rules, please understand that they could just make new rules. Um, so Nvidia is obviously going up on this assumption that maybe it goes through and okay, maybe the US will accept it. but the I don't know if you ask me. I Think the US political scene and the tensions with China and really even the Biden Administration.

They're not so keen on selling higher quality Tech Hardware to China and they literally might just make new rules that say no, yes, can't do that Um, so just something to pay attention to and that's why I wanted to spend some time sharing this with all of you this morning because I do think it's of importance. Uh, right here. World's biggest bank forced to trade via USB stick after hack incident caused Icbc's clients to reroute some treasury trades. A true shock to Banks around the world.

They were trading with a USB stick because they got hacked. Crazy story on Thursday trades handled by the world's largest bank in the globe's biggest Market Traverse manhand on a USB stick. We're talking some serious chaing some serious money going through the streets of Manhattan on a USB stick. That's crazy.

The Icbc's US unit had been hit by a Cyber attack, rendering it unable to clear swast of US Treasury trades after entities responsible for settling the transactions swiftly disconnected from the stricken systems that forced the ICBC to send the required settlement details to those parties by a messenger carrying a thumb drive as the state-owned lender race to limit the damage. This is crazy, crazy crazy crazy. Uh, so here's a bit of an update. Um, and it's just another like Cyber attack type of a thing.

Gang Lockit. What do we know at this point about this gang lock bit? Is it? That's right. So we know that this was a ransomware attack. Essentially, they're using software that decrypts decodes and then they ask for and they threaten to release information that they have got for in exchange for funds.

So right now we've heard finally from ICBC they put out an their own statement saying that the trades that were happening yesterday have been settled. They said repo trades happening today have also been accounted for. So now we're just awaiting some further updates that we're assuming are going to come out through these statements on their website. Um, and there's also all of the US Regulators um are are either in contact with the company they're looking into it.

Um. Market Participants have been getting on calls all day today with trade groups. Um, everyone is just trying to make sure that they're aware of how their own firms are potentially impacted. Um, but it depends on, um, really, what time of the day? Uh, earlier in the morning there was a lot of concerns about liquidity in the treasury market.

Those concerns seem to have dis ipated throughout the day. Um, it seemed as if ICBC was uh, a corner of the disruption, but otherwise there were trades they were able to settle um elsewhere. We had some banks that were stepping up um to to cover the disruption. So overall, this might not be the the biggest impact, but it does raise some red flags about what potentially could come down the line.

Anytime that you have cyber attacks it it raises questions fls about the risk aspect as well, right? Is it sort of usual for banks to have this type of vulnerability? So I mean what's say, they're all super regulation that Uh is currently being um, value valuated? Um, because these these attacks, all of the banks um have safety measures in place. but sometimes it's it. It is the things that uh, you? you don't see there's a reason why um, the attackers will often go through third parties. Um, they'll go through any Avenue that they can um that hasn't been looked at or attacked before and often those are the cracks and the reasons that you have these sort of instances that do get resolved.

Um, but it it will often, um, mean that there will be responses from Uh, both the industry and The Regulators that are in contact with industry Market participants that are making sure that they updating their systems that they are constantly, um, re-evaluating and if it means that it's more costly to update those systems, that's often um, still the the safety measure that needs to be put in in place to avoid an attack like this. Um, and uh, potentially uh, down the line customers um, asking for for further updates that um, even if they are costly, uh, are worth avoiding a situation like we had today. Look, who what is this? Um, good trading environment for options. Next two sessions on: AMC There's an 805 vibration and hidden levels at 950 and 1090. So U maybe you shouldn't advertise that because those lens levels are hidden. Um, so like no one's heard of 950 before or 1090.

So then the next level question is what impacts the Spy The Qes? Well, right now, everyone's paying attention to bonds and yields. If bonds are going down, I.E yields up.

that's going to be bearish and then vice versa. If bonds are up and yields are down, that's going to be bullish for the spy in the cues. So in terms of such a short-term prediction, I don't know I I I Can just tell the levels I would react to. The game of predicting in the market is really not in my opinion of how you win.

It's reacting to specific developments. So I have no idea your Tesla could be green. it could be red. All I can tell you is it gets interesting If it can get above and hold above 216 220 and I want to watch the reaction to 206.

Yeah, and the movers that we're going to watch today don't really reflect the broader index's pretty big declines on specific stocks. Here we're 30 minutes into the trading session.

Here are those movers: we are watching shares of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Company Plug Power Plunging Dou after 63.7 That was missed expectations and they pulled guidance after quote. Unprecedented Supply challenges shares of Digital Advertising company trade Desk also slumping today. Guidance came in light there despite a solid quarter currently down about 18.2% and watch wind shares today also yes, in the red after a key measure of Maau operating profits below Revenue at its Encore Boston Harbor property were also lower than the same period last year. those shares down about 88.8% Uhoh! getting some consumer sentiment data a couple moments ago, let's get back to Rick s right there Rick Good morning! These are November preliminary reads on University of Michigan sentiment Uh, headline number expected to be a bit under 64.

Well, it's under 61 60.4 That's the weakest since May of this year getting little bit of Anem vomit 65.7 Also the weakest since May of this year We're looking for a number North of 70 and if we look at expectations, what may lie ahead? We're looking for a number 61 61, A5 56 .9 And you guessed it, that is also the weakest level. Uh, going back to May of this year. Now let's get to onee: inflation expected 4% up 4.4% So let's let's look at this if you look at where we were in: September it was 3.2 last month was 4.2 That means we went from a six-month low to a 2 and 1 halfe high in one month. Now we're moving up to 4.4 which remains a comp going back to April but it's awfully interesting.

2 and 1 half year low 6mon high all in a couple month period And If we look at the five to 10e rate also kicking up from 3% to 3.2 boy, 3.2 you have to go back all the way to May and June of 2008 to find a higher number which would be 3.4 But to be fair, we equaled 3.2 in March of 2011. and there's been several 3. Tws, but these are hot on inflation, cool on growth, and we see that interest rates they're all down on session outside of 20 and 30 year, all maturities are up on the week Carl Back to you All right? interesting Rick Thank you Rick Santelli Meantime, the FED chare warning of the Fed's fight against inflation is not over and that future raate hikes are still on the table. His comments come on the back of that disappointing auction yesterday Ste Lean of course covered that in detail and weer than similar to yesterday the tech sector really a wakeup call for the market that two potent risks that are out there a further rate hikes and the challenge of financing the government's massive debt haven't gone away with a Stern Talking to by the Fed chair in a sloppy 30-year auction in what some saw as a tougher a tougher talk from Powell about the possibility of future rate hikes.

He said the FED would not hesitate to hike further if it's appropriate that stronger growth could cause the Fed Fed to move and that the FED is not confident yet that it's at the quote sufficiently restrictive level for rates. Some of what he said he' said before, but Fed Watchers like Krishna guha Evercore isi said the speech that the IMF represented a Sterner tone though maybe not a change in policy. he said quote um, we do not interpret this as representing a substantive shift in policy signaling as opposed to a tone correction and do not for in see any serious effort to put a December back in Play It's kind of how the market market December trading at just 9% uh and January at just 16% B higher after po talk. Still, the message was received a bit more forcefully espe after the Rel not well received.

The bond market seemed to be having a better time today though, digesting the issuance with the long-term bonish out of the way for a couple weeks Now, all that te up the inflation data next week as the next markers for where the Rate rates are going to be headed. Also tees up our exclusive interview at 1M with San Francisco Fed President Mary Deli So uh, Leslie rest easy this week and it doesn't get any easier next week it doesn't But in the meantime, we can look forward to that interview. Moody's Analytics Chief Economist Mark Xandy who says dangers to the economy appear less threatening at these levels? uh Mark thanks for being here just just quickly. On Uh Powell's talk yesterday, there was some suggestion that the hawkish tone was a result of some loosening market conditions namely, the yields declining over the past few weeks. Do you think that's uh, that's part of it there? Yeah, that's my interpretation I mean we saw the stock Market rally We saw Bond long-term bond yields come in, financial conditions eased, and I think uh chair pal just wanted to make sure that the financial markets don't get ahead of themselves. that I think he feels pretty good about where Financial conditions are.

feels pretty good about where inflation expectations are. Doesn't want to change that. so I think the speech was more strategic in that sense than anything else in terms of just kind of specific metrics that they may be watching to actually raise rates from here. How high of a bar do you think that needs to be? Just a slight tick up in inflation? A pretty substantial tick up in inflation? Uh, you know Leslie I Think it's inflation.

Expectations is really very important here. I mean if inflation ticks up because you know we've got oil prices up and gasoline prices rose with it. Uh, no big deal. Uh, if it's deemed to be temporary.

But you know, if uh Bond investors start marking up their expectations for future inflation I Think that's when the FED goes on high starts raising rates I Guess the other indicators that's related is wage growth. You know if Cons: workers start to think inflation is going to be higher and start Dem 30 Saed itself to whether they should. saving itself Bas On the watch the low of the day if we get below and close below the low of the day on the spy and the that's just not a good situation, the Bears might have the upper hand. I Think they're symptomatic of a very tight labor market selling off the options Market selling off since optioning, even on this recent price, pop options are not foll suit on that.

You know? Uh, labor markets are working pretty well here. You know the the key in the labor market uh is really the the quit rate. You know the what is this Biden Just heard someone fall during his UAW speech and said I want the press to know that wasn't me. That's actually kind of funny.

3, but even intraday it looks weaker. The Q's are up 0.55 Uh, holding still above their opening range while the Spy is below its opening range right here. Um, so watching this level right below 435 on the Spy is trading at 43510 s
